Hi Ladies,
I think I’m out this month, it’s only our first try but I think I’d symptom spotted too much and convinced myself we had won the lottery!

AF is due tomorrow and I was up all night with AF type cramps. I’ve never had that before - usually I cramp and then AF arrives but AF isn’t here yet… I might test tomorrow (11DPO) if AF doesn’t come in the night.
Has anyone had this? Am I still in the game or am I just fooling myself 😩.

Heyy, I had this too in my first cycle TTC (really thought it might have been a pregnancy at one point). Went to the GP because I was a bit worried and she said it was probably my body adjusting after being on the pill for so long.

Obviously your situation could be different but my AF came exactly when it was meant to. I did take an early pregnancy test though so knew I wasn’t pregnant.

Morning,
I’m CD 30 today, one app (clue) is saying AF due today and my other (pre mom) is saying tomorrow. I’ve tested and it’s a BFN but I’m only 11DPO (short luteal phase).

I’ve been off contraception for around two years. I’m not holding out hope - I recon AF will arrive just a few days late. I usually have cycles of 29 days but sometimes, like this month when I ovulate late, AF is late. My luteal phase is never less than 11 days.

I really thought it was AF the other night. My cramps can be really bad and cause sciatic pain down my legs - it was just like that. I only cramp for one day.

I guess I’ll just have to wait and see but Ive mentally prepared for AF. It’s only our first cycle trying.

Marvelftw · 05/01/2025 09:12

@EEB1989 Yes I remember you posting before :) We’re both 35 trying for our first. Sorry about the cramps but I guess wait to see what happens?

I literally only stopped the pill in November and really think I jumped the gun by doing all this research into it so soon. My body probably needs a bit more time to adjust coming off BC but hey, here I am now 😅

My friend stopped the pill and got pregnant really quickly.

It took me around 3 months to have a period when I stopped the pill. My cycles were really long too at 35 days. It’s crazy how everyone’s body works differently.

As were over 35 weeks can get tested if we have no success after 6 months TTC (from what I’ve read) so I’ll give it the 6 cycles, then I’ll go to the Dr and see what they say.

Im like you - I read a bit too much 🙈. I’m back at work this week properly so that will take my mind off it.

KittyFantastica · 05/01/2025 09:59

Is it usual for you @Hen2000? I've never had any symptoms during the TWW, though with my last pregnancy I started having hot flushes two days before I got a positive, which was odd for me as I'm always cold. I had strong cramps with my first pregnancy too, which is what lead me to test before AF, but it never implanted properly and I miscarried at 6 weeks. I see loads of people cramp through their luteal phase though, so guess it can be really normal!

I used to feel cramps and backache a day before period would arrive. But last month I had cramps maybe day 5/9dpo i did have a very faint line on one test all others negative and period arrived.

I've only recently started having periods again after extended breastfeeding so it's been almost 4 years (pregnancy and breastfeeding) since I've had regular periods.

I have tests at home from last month but I felt I got a bit too crazy testing so I think I'm trying not to this month

Room4onemore · 05/01/2025 11:07

5dpo here today. Can’t wait to test but I think I’m out this month. On Premom and my cycle tracker, I’m due on the 12th so that’s only 11dpo but we shall see

Sugarcube84 · 05/01/2025 11:50

Well it’s now starting to sink in good luck everyone and hopefully see some of you in the September thread

Yeah I also heard of some people getting pregnant first cycle off the pill which is why I started reading about it. Just goes to show that everyone’s different!

My GP told me if I'm not naturally pregnant by May to come see them so we’ll see what happens by then. Fingers crossed for baby dust🤞 ✨

Well 5dpo today and started to get the usual spots/headaches before AF 😔 not due until the 14th but I can just feel that I’m out this month.

Dpes anyone have any positive stories to share about plus size pregnancy? I’m a few stone heavier than I was when I conceived DD and although I’m trying to eat better, I’d like to hear some success stories!

CoolBananas21 · 05/01/2025 16:12

Can anyone else see a faint faint line? In person it's more noticeable but just wanted to see if I'm going crazy or not?

I'm 8 dpo x

I am 9 DPO today and still negative, when do most people get there positives? Is it too late soon? Getting hopeless :(

I’m considered obese, I’m 13st 8lb and 5ft 5. With my DS I ended up with GD but I was literally on the line and so they treated me anyway (diabetes also runs in my family). I also have fibromyalgia, but I had the most amazing pregnancy and felt the best I’d ever felt. I ended up with an emergency c-section coz of a few complications but baby was born fine and no issues from me having the GD x

i can’t but see dye run, clear blue are awful for this. I would wait a few days and then do a digital as 8dpo is still early x

Besides the dye run I see something but it could be an EVAP, do you have any pink dye tests? Or test after a couple days

CoolBananas21 · 05/01/2025 19:13

I'll test in a few days. I only have the clear blue ones. Thank you for replying xx

Mumzydarling12 · 05/01/2025 19:44

@CoolBananas21 i definitely see something but as @Lavenderrose92 said clearly blue are known for there horrible evap lines! I have been stung a few times in the past with horrible evap lines with clear blue! I’m crossing my fingers for you though ☺️x

Thank you! I think deep down it's nothing but an evap line but will test again later on in the week. Thank you! X

Mumzydarling12 · 05/01/2025 19:58

@CoolBananas21 yes definitely wait probably until 10/11 dpo? 8 is still very early. I said I wasn’t going to test early anymore as the disappointment each cycle was getting to me…. However stupidly I tested early yesterday 9dpo and had a BFN again! Im still holding on to a little bit of hope this month though. 😬☺️ hope you get your BFP soon x

KittyFantastica · 05/01/2025 20:04

8DPO (I think) today for me and no signs whatsoever. Before I got my BFP at 9DPO with my boy, I was having hot flushes and fatigue from 7DPO. I knew I wasn't pregnant last cycle and I can already tell this one is over too. AF is due on Wednesday or Thursday, but it's been a horrendously stressful weekend and I even had a drink tonight. I hate January.

With my first 2 I only got positives after a missed prior so 16 dpo
