Hi lovely ladies, just looking for some positive stories of going to CRP clinic ? My back story I have had a chemical then a missed miscarriage at 12 weeks ( baby stopped growing at 6 weeks) then another chemical. I went to CRP clinic three weeks ago and spent £3,300 on tests, everything came back normal apart from the Cytoxicity NK cells (activation of Nk Cells in pregnancy state) normal is below 20 percent and mine are at 26 percent. I suppose I’m just concerned is this really the reason for my 3 loses ?! I hope it is and that the treatment plan can be successful ! He’s put me on superovulation, infusion before ovulation then prednisone and infusion then test. Also taking viagra to help with the lining. I’m having this month off as partner is away so starting next month. I’m so worried about the steroids. Also I’m hoping he will be able to help with my lining. Does anyone know what he will do if my lining is thin on scan day? My last clinic I was at did nothing. No wonder it wasn’t successful. CRP seem great so far just expensive !!! Any comments and replies are so so welcomed

@Rainbowchaser87 also another thing I decided to do was take the letrozole
from day 3 instead of day 2 as gave my lining a bit more time to get thicker too ! X

@Meg310532 u should open ur own clinic!! So many tips! 😂 thanks a lot. Will do it next month as I am quite sure that this month nothing is gonna happen! 😔 I think regarding L-arginine will start with 1000mg a day…bit concerned that 1500mg per 4 times a day could mess up with my stomach 😅

Meg310532 · 02/02/2025 09:36

thank you so much @Rainbowchaser87 i was soooo nervous, but he took literally a few seconds to reassure me and tell me he can see a heartbeat. Him and his nurses were just so lovely 🥰🥰❤️❤️ he said that once you hear the heartbeat the miscarriage rate goes down 67 percent and I have got further than I have with the other three so he thinks it’s a good sign !!! It’s so nice to hear positive stories from people going through similar journeys isn’t it so hopefully my situation is filling you with positivity xxx

Jumping on to give another positive CRP story. I had secondary infertility and lots of failed ivf over many years, then surgery to remove some scarring. Then I was able to fall pregnant naturally. Amazing. But lost 3 pregnancies. Went to CRP clinic and had a few things come up on blood tests (main one high nk activity) so had an expensive arthritis injection (had to drive to Wimbledon to get this!), prednisone, viagra (was already on this from ivf clinic), high dose estrogen for thin lining (ivf clinic), metformin (dose upped by prof S), progesterone, intralipids. Had all that alongside an ivf transfer and was pregnant but it measured behind from the start, did get a heartbeat, but then stopped. Then prof S/ and lovely Dr Edge changed me to the 'super complex plan' (added hydroxychloroquine, which did thin my hair) and did quite a few Letrazole rounds. My wonderful 15 month old baby is asleep next to me. I do genuinely think I still might not have a baby by now if I hadn't gone to CRP.

It's all a bit of a blur now, I can't remember doses of things. Very lovely staff.

Good luck and I hope you all get your little miracles.

BusyJadeBiscuit · 06/02/2025 05:37

@Meg310532 congratulations!!

I had my results through and I have two of the high NK cells come back so dr S has put me on a course of tablets called Hydroxychloroquine and I took an injection called Adalimumab has anyone else had this injection??

im on the complex plan so on phase 1 at the moment and then will go onto phase 2 which then I’ll go onto progesterone and letrozole.

just trying to think positive but struggling

Meg310532 · 06/02/2025 05:41

@BusyJadeBiscuit the person who put me in contact with CRP had the same thing as you ! She had high Nk Cell count so had to have those injections first to bring the count down and then moved onto the steroids to bring the activation of them down in pregnancy state. She was successful with this protocol! What’s your reasons for going onto letrozole ? I had my first appointment with CRP in September they have honestly exceeded my expectations with how things have gone so far. Also my friend ended up getting pregnant before her injections were over so moved onto the steroids etc sooner. She wasn’t supposed to but it happened x

@Meg310532 thank you so much! So I have pcos so I don’t ovulate or because I have a high AMH because of the pcos my eggs aren’t being released. I think I’m worried about the egg quality but it should be fine!

I’m so happy with dr S so far he’s the only doctor which has listened and actually wants to help! NHS just plat the blame game and won’t help! But the CRP clinic is great. It’s nice to have a plan

Meg310532 · 06/02/2025 06:03

@BusyJadeBiscuit that’s why I did letrozole too because of high AMH and polycystic ovaries & also on metformin. But I don’t have the full syndrome. Yeh he definitely seems like he cares doesn’t he. Just such a expensive journey xx

OP posts:
BusyJadeBiscuit · 06/02/2025 06:33

@Meg310532

How many rounds did it take you to get pregnant?

i don’t have all the symptoms of pcos just high AMH and weight gain but metformin is helping I think. I just don’t have much of an appetite with these tablets.

I really hope this works for us and we get pregnant this year

Meg310532 · 06/02/2025 07:34

So with CRP I did one round that had to be cancelled as I had too many follicles so was high risk of multiples but it worked on my second cycle I had three follicles but singleton pregnancy! I have my fingers crossed for you xxxx

seven201 · 06/02/2025 08:22

@BusyJadeBiscuit yes, I had adamulumab and hydroxy

BusyJadeBiscuit · 06/02/2025 08:31

@seven201 how did you find it? And has it worked for you xxxxx

Rainbowchaser87 · 06/02/2025 09:40

@seven201 thanks for sharing ur story! I am so glad CRP helped u! Definitely need positive stories ❤️🌈

Rainbowchaser87 · 06/02/2025 09:49

@Meg310532 I have abandoned this cycle! Don’t like the way it started so Feb is gone! Waiting for my period and then will start Letrozole and Viagra. Will go for a scan—trigger shot and hopefully preggy! I CANNOT WAIT TO HAVE MY RAINBOW 🌈 🌈

BusyJadeBiscuit · 06/02/2025 13:48

@seven201 how did you feel the day after taking the adamulumab. ?

seven201 · 06/02/2025 16:04

@BusyJadeBiscuit it was approaching 3 years ago now that I did the adumulumab so I can't remember if I'm honest. Definitely wasn't awful, or I'd have remembered! The hydroxy did thin my hair a bit, but it did grow back. I think I had headaches for a while after starting that one, but I was on so many drugs it could have been from a different one.

I posted my happy ending story (I have a 15 month old) last night, so if you scroll down on this thread you'll see it there. Good luck.
