Hi lovely ladies, just looking for some positive stories of going to CRP clinic ? My back story I have had a chemical then a missed miscarriage at 12 weeks ( baby stopped growing at 6 weeks) then another chemical. I went to CRP clinic three weeks ago and spent £3,300 on tests, everything came back normal apart from the Cytoxicity NK cells (activation of Nk Cells in pregnancy state) normal is below 20 percent and mine are at 26 percent. I suppose I’m just concerned is this really the reason for my 3 loses ?! I hope it is and that the treatment plan can be successful ! He’s put me on superovulation, infusion before ovulation then prednisone and infusion then test. Also taking viagra to help with the lining. I’m having this month off as partner is away so starting next month. I’m so worried about the steroids. Also I’m hoping he will be able to help with my lining. Does anyone know what he will do if my lining is thin on scan day? My last clinic I was at did nothing. No wonder it wasn’t successful. CRP seem great so far just expensive !!! Any comments and replies are so so welcomed

@Sal80 i do wonder if you may be right about immune issues. My consultant told me that while most women have an 85 percent chance if a successful pregnancy, my own immune issues, high NK cells, bad cytokine ratio, etc meant that my chances were completely reversed without any medication. It could be that your successful pregnancy was a lucky draw.
I would suggest perhaps contacting Tommy's miscarriage support to explain your situation and it may well be that they can offer some thought as to your next move re immune tests.
Now for my favourite question to people in your situation - and you may find it a strange one - Do you have any known allergies?

No I don’t have any allergies- well actually I do get a red rash over my face and neck when I drink alcohol- so I don’t drink. I will contact Tommys. Thank you

Umm, might be worth checking allergies. Sometimes allergies cause your immune system to over react. Hope you get some good info from Tommy's x

for some reason, i stopped getting notification from this forum.

@AgnesTTC thank you so much for sharing the data and info on high dosage of letrozole. I later decided to take 15mg of Letrozole and finally i did get 3 mature follicles. Dr. Edge was very happy with the result. Just waiting how this month goes.
How are you doing?

@Rainbowchaser87 how are you doing lovely? I am sorry if this wasn't your month. It will happen 🙏 what did you decide for this cycle? going back on letrozole? or trying natural?

@Sal80 i am so sorry to read about your losses. You have gone through a lot. Really hoping NHS will refer you to Prof. Shehata. If you have done all the other tests and they were all normal and you still had miscarriages, then I do believe it is something to do with NK cells that Prof. shehata will help you with. I was on the same boat. Had miscarriages, seen specialists through NHS and even went private, all tests results came normal but still had more miscarriages. some did not believe in NK cells. so when i went to crp, i had a lot of doubts, didn't think it would work. But it did. Under Prof. S protocol, today we have a beautiful girl.
Hoping you will get referred

Hi all, I am really hoping to get some insight here. Anyone who took the Ovitrelle trigger shot, how long the hcg stayed in your body before it all got cleared. Anyone managed to track that? So today I am on day 11 post the trigger shot, I am supposed to take a Preg test tomorrow but I couldn’t hold myself and took one yesterday and this morning, both are faint lines.
Now I am so confused. Could it be a false pregnancy from hcg still remaining of the trigger shot or is it early pregnancy or is it chemical the fact the line hasn’t gone darker in the last 24 hours
I should have really waited until tomorrow but my mind is doing crazy things to me 😭
the first photo with the tile background is taken today. The test on the bedsheet was taken yesterday.
Just to also mention I am 11 days post ovulation also- I am very sure, I already started ovulating naturally the day I was asked to take the shot but I still went ahead and took the shot.

@Hope646 hi darling…It’s hard to say…the only option is to wait tomorrow morning..I know is hard isn’t it? Hope u can rest and not feel to anxious about it… I think though that in the worse scenario might be just hcg from Ovitrelle…please keep us posted ❤️🫂
I am taking trigger shot tonight…I took Gonal-F and had a good lining. How do you know that u ovulated earlier than trigger shot? Xxx

Hope646 · 15/06/2025 08:24

@Rainbowchaser87 thank you for responding. Always appreciate you x
So I took another test this morning and it is positive. The lines are a bit stronger so hoping it is a true positive 🙏🏻 at this stage I always have mixed feelings .. atleast until they do the scan .. and another scan and more scans 😂 It’s not a great thing but I never learnt to celebrate these moments because of the fear of something going wrong and I still have that fear.

Regarding my ovulation, I was asked to take the trigger shot on Tuesday. But I was still using the Premom home strips and I got a peak on Monday (meaning I should be ovulating in the next 24 hours)- then on Tuesday I had pain (since taking letrozole- I don’t know if it’s because of that- but the last few cycles I have felt ovulation pain which usually last for few hours- and other signs like discharge was how it should be during ovulation- it was high Monday, Tuesday and still some on Wednesday )- so I don’t know if it made any difference but rather taking the shot at 9pm on Tuesday, I took it around 12 in the afternoon- just to avoid taking it any later. It was instinctive feeling- I feel I may have ovulated 1-2 days before
I did ask Dr. Edge on the day of my appointment that what if I ovulate before taking the trigger shot- she said the chances are low but don’t worry about it because the days set for intercourse should still cover us and we did follow those timing

Oh that’s great.. you had issue with your lining before. So this is great news. How many follicles did you get? I have got every crossed for you 🙏🏻❤️ please keep us posted on how it goes

Rainbowchaser87 · 17/06/2025 11:15

@Hope646 oh my gosh darling!!! It’s positive!!!!!!!!!! That’s awesome!! Soo happy for u!!!
congrats!!! ❤️
I know what u mean re the celebration but u know that these protocols work!! But I totally understand the mix feelings!❤️🫂

how thick was ur lining when u had ur scan? I triggered shot on Saturday evening and had to do my duties on Sunday and Monday! All done ✔️ so now got to wait to test in 9 days 🙏🏽🙏🏽 when do u have the intralipids now? Will they take blood test too? Xxx

Rainbowchaser87 · 17/06/2025 11:59

@Hope646 ps I have 2 eggs. How many did u have? Xx

Hope646 · 18/06/2025 11:45

@Rainbowchaser87 thank you so much lovely. I m holding myself back from feeling anything atleast until the scan which will be on the first week of July. I will see if my Gp can do couple of hcg blood tests for me.
Thickness of my lining was 7.4mm and this was on day 11. I also had 2 dominant follicles.
having more than 1 always increase the chance. May this be the cycle for you 🙏🏻🙏🏻 keep us posted xx

Rainbowchaser87 · 18/06/2025 16:50

@Hope646 I know what u mean…It’s a painful waiting until the first scan…and then it’s another painful waiting until the next one…and so on…I hope I hope I be joining u this month!! 🙏🏽🙏🏽 if u want to talk during this time I am always available…we can exchange numbers xx🫂🫂

Sorry for jumping in. Did anyone here had immune issues that were treated by this doctor, but without Pcos or endometriosis or other issues?

I've had a chemical and 2 losses at 5 weeks in a space of 8 months or so. So the issue doesn't seem to be on getting pregnant, but rather on keeping the pregnancies. I've been referred to NHS recurrent miscarriages clinic but this will take many many months to find out. I think immune issues could make sense particularly looking at the 2 miscarriages exactly at the same time point. And so been reading all these comments on this doctor, but it sounds like it would cost me 3k just to find out if it's even linked to it, right?
Is there anywhere cheaper where I can do the same tests?

Hey!

Not exactly what you were asking but I was told it was a 9 month wait to see Dr Shehata in the NHS and then I got a call a month later as they opened up a new clinic. It may not be as long as first stated.

I know it’s still a long process overall though. It’s tough 😢

Hi everyone! How are you all doing? Xx

CarpeDiem75 · 11/07/2025 13:32

@Rainbowchaser87hi, how are you doing? A bit in a limbo here as I had a faint line at 11dpo so was getting excited but was also worried it was from my trigger shot.. so took another this morning (48hr later) same FRER same time of the day and the line was fainter…😭😭 so I am a bit heartbroken. I will retest maybe tomorrow with a CB digital pregnancy test but I don’t have high hope. Didn’t get any symptoms so far and since lunchtime I have cramping. I am still on progesterone and all the other medication so not even sure I can get my period whatever happens!! So I will wait for my period due date and will stop the medications. What happening with you?
@Hope646how are you doing?

Rainbowchaser87 · 11/07/2025 21:00

@CarpeDiem75 so nice to hear from you!!!!
Frer it’s very good! I had a faint line last month but then the day after no line…so maybe it’s a good sign for you even if it’s faint!! Defo test tomorrow and pls let me know xxx
I am OKish…this month went for the follicle scan and there were too many follicles! 6! They didn’t want to trigger shot me and I am wondering to go natural anyway as I don’t think I can ovulate all the eggs! Did this ever happen to u? I am doing Gonal-f as Latrozole messed my lining! Xx

CarpeDiem75 · 11/07/2025 21:17

@Rainbowchaser87i had the same issue in the past I had 4 mature follicles and I have asked them to do the trigger shot despite they didn’t want my too… I sign a letter and they brief me about the pregnancy reduction (which I was ok with). We tried naturally and didn’t even get pregnant…. So I would say you have nothing to lose. My view is I couldn’t get pregnant for years so surely it was very unlikely that’s the 4 would happen and I was ok with twins!
‘let me know what you decide xx
did you get pregnant last month? Was it a chemical? I am sorry 😔

Rainbowchaser87 · 11/07/2025 22:23

@CarpeDiem75 I don’t know if it was chemical or if it was just hcg from trigger shot…but the period came after 2 days☹️
anyway wishing u all the best luck for tomorrow and I hope u will give some good news ❤️

CarpeDiem75 · 11/07/2025 22:52

@Rainbowchaser87😘

CarpeDiem75 · 12/07/2025 16:03

@Rainbowchaser87 I think I had a fake positive in the end and it was due to my trigger shot. I had a big fat negative this morning and I am starting my period (right on time!) in some ways I feel better as it is not a chemical!!

Rainbowchaser87 · 12/07/2025 21:19

@CarpeDiem75 I am sorry….it’s so hard to digest isn’t it?
as u said better than a chemical! Let’s keep going and perhaps this new cycle will be our great one!!!
let’s keep in touch! I feel like I am so much better off when I talk to all of u! So grateful for mumsnet! This is the hardest journey I ever walked in and it feels soo lonely at times!

Hey ladies, I'm new here but so pleased you're all here discussing this and as you say it's nice to know others are feeling the same way and you're not alone!

I'm just starting with CRP - I've had my first bloods done and will have results on Monday in my appt with Prof Shehata 🙏

I've had 3 missed miscarriages in the last 2 years with my most recent being about 5 weeks ago - just desperate to hopefully have a successful pregnancy. 💕 Feel like now I have some hope.

Rainbowchaser87 · 17/07/2025 16:59

@Blossomvic hi darling…so sorry for your losses…it makes u feel less alone knowing that others are going through the same struggles isn’t it? Keep us posted what Prof will tell
u on Monday! We have hope! ❤️🫂
