Hi all,
Starting a thread for people who are TTC/testing in November 2024.

A bit about me. I am TTC#1. I'm 35 and DH is 36, we have been trying since Dec 2023 and this will be our 13th cycle! We've had some basic tests and all seem to be OK, but GP referred us to fertility clinic today. So feel like we're entering the next stage of TTC.

Fertile week is next week. I'm not going to test until a missed period, which will be 14th Nov.

There were a lot of positives in the October thread so hopefully we're as lucky! 💖

Hoping to see fellow October TTC team join too!

I will be waiting for a missed period mid-November 🤞😊

Best of luck! How old is your LO? Can't imagine how tough it is to fit TTC around having a child to think about to!! Maybe I will be (hopefully) one and done xx

@CoolSummer89 I’ve got a toddler :) It’s just less energy after work and parenting, but also like a walking reminder why I want a nr 2 so much, as it’s the best thing in my life.

I hope November is all of our lucky month!

I have read many cases where once a couple get referred to fertility clinic/treatment, they get pregnant the following month! Maybe it’s that the pressure/control is put in someone else’s hands?

CoolSummer89 · 25/10/2024 14:51

@MyGardenDaisies yea this is what the GP said this to me this morning but I don’t want to tempt fate by believing or even thinking this!

Hello! TTC baby #2, this is kind of my second cycle, but I came off the pill in September so my
cycles aren’t fully back to normal just yet. I think I should be ovulating this weekend / early next week, so will be testing in November. I’m using the Premom app and ovulation tests to see if I’m ovulating. Though the last time I used them they never reached even close to a peak and I got pregnant, so we’ll see what happens!
My previous 2 pregnancies (one birth, one miscarriage) happened straight away, so I’m hopeful that this will be our month 🤞
Good luck to you all

Hello, we are TTC baby #1 this is our third cycle and I think I’m getting my LH peak today so hopefully ovulating in next few days.

I’ve heard DTD every other day is best, how do you all time this in days leading up to ovulation? We DTD last night but feel we should also tonight and day of ovulation but then is the sperm weaker?

CoolSummer89 · 25/10/2024 16:04

Welcome @Row23 & @Triangleflower !

@Triangleflower I think advice for people with lower sperm counts is to DTD every other day to give a bit of time for sperm to regenerate. But then methods such as 'sperm meets egg' say that people have sex every day for three days after LH peak.
Either way, if the conditions are right, sperm should live up to 3-5 days waiting for the egg to be released, so whatever you can manage over the next couple of days should be enough :)

Hello! 🩷

I’m TTC #1 and part way through cycle 1 although I only came off the pill a few weeks ago so everything is still being worked out! Using natural cycles and also used a few ovulation tests but not holding out on anything until next cycle starts!

good luck everyone 🥰

CoolSummer89 · 25/10/2024 17:12

Welcome and best of luck @Em3009. You never know! The only time I have ever been pregnant was when I was 21 and I accidentally missed two pills in a row.

Hello 💗 moving over from the Oct thread. Hopefully this is a lucky month for us all 💝

Confusedmermaid1 · 25/10/2024 20:00

Also moving from October.. had a really short cycle last time so we’ll wait and see what happens but period is due any time between 11th and 14th Nov, hopefully LH tests will narrow it a bit 😅

ThatSnugSwan · 25/10/2024 20:56

Hi ladies 😊 Joining in, its my second month ttc baby no.3. Two children and 1 miscarriage a few months ago. Cycle day 8 today. Hopefully see alot of bfps for November 😊

MyGardenDaisies · 25/10/2024 21:00

@Confusedmermaid1 same! I randomly had a 26 day cycle. Got all worried about literal phase deficiency

Confusedmermaid1 · 25/10/2024 21:05

@MyGardenDaisies yeah I have been having 25/26 day cycles following a loss so I started taking some extra vitamins in an attempt to lengthen my luteal phase (only vit C and zinc, B6 and magnesium) and my last cycle was then 21 days! So frustrating.. I stopped taking the vitamins because that was the only thing that I’d changed but I’m not sure they’re the reason really 😅 just sticking to folic acid for now… I don’t ovulate until D12-14 usually so not even getting to 10dpo some months.. considering hertility if this cycle is not successful

MyGardenDaisies · 25/10/2024 21:08

@Confusedmermaid1 ong same !! My cycle is usually 28 days, and I read that to lengthen literal phase (I ovulate quite late), you can take Vit C, and it was 26 days ! Stopped that immediately

Confusedmermaid1 · 25/10/2024 21:10

@MyGardenDaisies sounds like we read the same article 🙈😂 fingers crossed for both of us that things normalise with our cycles and we have a better chance 🤞🏼

JW24M · 25/10/2024 21:24

Hey!

Hope you don’t mind me tagging on. Both 32yrs old, TTC #1, 3rd cycle!

Finding it all rather overwhelming, constantly symptom spotting but trying to be relaxed this month. Very dodgy patterns in lh/bbt! So just going to see what this month brings as I am 7dpo today!

Sending baby dust to you all! xx

Readysetgooo · 25/10/2024 21:52

Excited to join. This will be cycle 1 TTC #2. DS was conceived first month so bit nervous to try again (both in case it does and doesn't happen first time!). Ovulation tests arrived today so ready to go. When I conceived my son, I ovulated quite early so going to assume the same will happen again - been too lazy to track before now so just waiting to see.

CoolSummer89 · 26/10/2024 10:24

Welcome @Readysetgooo @JW24M @Confusedmermaid1 @ThatSnugSwan @Mrscmay17

the beginning is very overwhelming @JW24M i found 3rd and 4th cycles very tough because the ‘average’ is said to be 3 months. And because it’s all new it takes over your life. Hopefully you will get pregnant soon but if not it does become less of an obsession (at least it did for me)

OP posts:
MyGardenDaisies · 26/10/2024 11:46

@CoolSummer89 I though the average is 6 months of TTC, then 80% will be pregnant within 12 months.

I am on CD13, still ⭕️ on CB digital and no EWCM. Maybe cutting out the vit C will help have a longer cycle 🤞

Thank you v much. I am sure those stats are why i’m also feeling pretty meh. It just isn’t like in school where we expect one time to be enough! But trying to remain positive as it can take a healthy couple a year.. and here I am stressing on cycle 3!

SB0 · 26/10/2024 13:00

Joining you all in Nov - had a chemical pregnancy in Oct following 2 early miscarriages since late 2023. Really hoping for some luck for all of us this month 🤞🏼
