Hi all,
Starting a thread for people who are TTC/testing in November 2024.

A bit about me. I am TTC#1. I'm 35 and DH is 36, we have been trying since Dec 2023 and this will be our 13th cycle! We've had some basic tests and all seem to be OK, but GP referred us to fertility clinic today. So feel like we're entering the next stage of TTC.

Fertile week is next week. I'm not going to test until a missed period, which will be 14th Nov.

There were a lot of positives in the October thread so hopefully we're as lucky! 💖

Hi All!! Can I join.
I'm ttc#1 at 35 and DH 38. This is my first cycle after my first natural period last week since coming off the pill. I came off the pill in July so my body is taking a while to adjust so hoping this cycle might be closer to the average length. According to premom I should ovulate this week so it should give a good indication if my cycle is calming down or not. Started opks today and numbers are low, fingers crossed they increase through out the week. Good luck everyone, hoping November is our month.

Hi 👋🏻 I’m 32 and TTC first baby. I have low oestrogen, progesterone and pretty sure a thin lining which I imagine is affecting fertility. Taking all the vitamins and trying to reduce stress and look after myself to help fertility 🤞🏻

1woodpecker · 28/10/2024 07:27

im due to ovulate around 10th November so be testing around 23 nov (but will obviously be before 😂)

MyGardenDaisies · 28/10/2024 08:56

Good morning ! :)

CD15, got the high fertility yesterday, so waiting for the static smiley - hopefully tomorrow!

tried Preseed and it’s easy to use and at least gave me the feeling that we are doing something different this month 😄 it’s also 3 months since I’ve been taking all my supplements, so I am hopeful that they have now kicked in and I’ll have a healthy 🥚😄

S4mmyj90 · 28/10/2024 14:15

I'm going to hopefully hold out to test on 15th. Will probably cave in before then. Currently 6dpo.

Marge35 · 28/10/2024 14:37

Hi 😀

I am new to all this! TTC #1 (I am 35 and DH is 36) and it will likely be CD1 tomorrow of first cycle actively trying. Came of the pill in August this year and tracked ovulation for the first time last month with a peak OPK on CD11. That means that I will definitely be testing this month all going well.

I understand we are very unlikely to be unsuccessful on 1st month but I am a strong believer in hope being magical and there being no reason not to feel it until proven otherwise ⭐

Fairy0708 · 28/10/2024 15:45

Hi all

I'm TTC number 2. Cycle 15 (I think).

DC1 is 3 and concieved on cycle 1... So patiently waiting!

Readysetgooo · 28/10/2024 15:49

To those TTC #2, how are you feeling? My son is 19m and I've been broody for quite a while. When I brought it up with husband recently, I didn't expect him to say yes let's go for it now but he did. Now I'm so nervous and I didn't have this feeling first time round. I was on mat leave for 14 months then had 8 weeks sick for a postpartum issue once I was back so I've not really been at work much. I feel like if I announce a pregnancy people will think I'm mad and that I should maybe get back to work properly for a bit before trying!

MyGardenDaisies · 28/10/2024 16:14

@Readysetgooo I can empathise with you. You got to remember that having children is a very natural thing and your nearly 2.5+ year age gap is also normal.
I kind of presume my senior leadership are probably expecting I’ll have another. Most people have more than 1 child.

My son is nearly 20 months and I was pretty sure I didn’t want to go through pregnancy and birth again, until he got to about 16 months and suddenly I just wanted another one.
Also, don’t worry about work - I worked in a large office and I know multiple people who returned from maternity leave already pregnant again. It’s not totally unusual. I think most people expect that if you’ve got a young child then you’re likely to want another fairly soon anyway.
Hopefully this is our month 🤞

CoolSummer89 · 28/10/2024 16:42

Welcome @CandH35 & @Marge35 nice to see some fellow 35 year-olds. There genuinely seems to be no rhyme nor reason to how long it will take, it's a bit of a lottery. My advice is to just enjoy the trying :) not get too down on cycles it doesn't work out and reach out to your GP after a few months. Sometimes just knowing you're getting a test can be reassuring enough.

Ah @1woodpecker it's so stressful especially when you feel like your body isn't working as it should. Sounds like you are looking after it and your self mentally, which is great.

@MyGardenDaisies I am at a similar point I think. O day predicted on Wednesday. We're busy today and tomorrow, but DTD yesterday and will try Weds morning.

@S4mmyj90 best of luck, I always find 6-9dpo the hardest days. Stay strong!

@Fairy0708 Sorry it's taking longer than the first time round? Have you been to the doctor. I think they will still do blood tests etc for second TTC.

Thank you @CoolSummer89 it's especially hard when you get lots of symptoms like nausea and feeling tired all the time 😩 x

Fairy0708 · 28/10/2024 16:55

@CoolSummer89 ❤️ I can't imagine how tough it must be for ttc number 1. I do know a few ladies that took 12-24 months.

Yes had pretty much all the tests I think, including a Hycosy, AMH level. All seems ok. I've thrown allll the ovulation tests out, so only assume I ovulate around the time I get usual symptoms.

vlove1234 · 28/10/2024 17:35

Hello ladies, joining in am 7dpo. Periods are due in 7 days, this is my second cycle ttc. The 2 week wait is absolutely dragging, I have already tested obviously bfn

Good evening all,

TTC baby no 3, pregnancy no 4.

We had a MMC in early 2014
And we lost our rainbow baby to cancer at 7yo 2023. Our lives have been shattered. But we have a stunning teenager that is suddenly on her own, that's not fair.

After talking about it for a year we have decided to try again. We have so much love to give to another little baby, after everything we have been through one thing we are sure of is that we are a great family.

We have a short window for conception as I'll be 40 at end of next year and my cut off point is to have given birth by then. I was hiding in the background of the OCT Group but af is on her way, I know she is. So looks like I'm on the Nov Train for now if that's ok.

I usually have very obvious ovulation days but the Oct one was off schedule and EWCM was very minimal so hopefully Nov is a sticky baby dust month for us all.

Best wishes to everyone on your journey xx Smile

Floomobal · 28/10/2024 19:18

Hi, I’d like to join you all! Had static smiley on Saturday, so DTD Sat, Sun, and tonight. Also DTD every day that I had the flashing smiley, so hoping we’ve covered all bases this month!

Currently cycle 5, TTC #2. AF due 10th Nov, so hoping not to test before that…

Hi all 👋
Can I join too? I ovulated yesterday so now in the dreaded TWW! This is cycle 4 for me and i’m 31 and no previous pregnancies. I had my mirena coil out in May but didn’t TTC for the first couple of months as we got married in August and didn’t want to be throwing up all day 😂
Good luck to you all and lots of baby dust ✨

MyGardenDaisies · 28/10/2024 19:56

@MrsSMxx I’m so sorry for your loss, that is unimaginable. I hope you get pregnant quickly ❤️

CoolSummer89 · 28/10/2024 22:11

Hi @MrsSMxx I'm so sorry for you and your family's loss, that is absolutely devastating. I'm wishing you the best of luck for your TTC journey 💫

Can I join? Ttc number 1, struggling after miscarriage. Feeling very isolated from people in real life for a number of reasons so just hoping for a safe space. Feeling very sad and anxious with it all.

Confusedmermaid1 · 28/10/2024 22:36

@HollyGolightly4 welcome, you’re not alone! I’m feeling the same way TTC after loss and I’ve been struggling recently, almost more than I did when actually going through the MC and treatment.. fingers crossed it’s our time soon 🤍
