Thought it was time for a new thread - we're almost out of room on the original one

hi all

Oh Gilly (BIG HUGS) I know the ups and downs of IUI all so well. The clinics are bloody rubbish at explaining what to expect. Good news is that you are still relatively early in your cycle and sounds like you will be having IUI next week. Its so annoying having arsey doctors, its really not on and not helpful to the situation. They really should of gone into a different medical field if they can't be nice... like bum doctors

nomoremagnolia - fab news on your 2 embroy's... its a bugger not getting any for the freezer, but 1) Fingers crossed you won't need them 2) frozen has a reduction in success. Fresh all the way!

kd73 - Your so right, why is this so bloody hard!

viksam - I did acupuncture for months and really enjoyed it. It was £100 for 4 sessions if I blocked booked. I want to go back to it, but the cost was adding up etc... and when I went for my IUI treatment at the clinic they told me I would be going for so many appointments there that I found it hard work booking anything else in. I suppose you have to work to pay for these things

Ready - have a fab holiday... I've just booked mine with my sister... but got carried away and booked for Dominican instead of Ibiza .. which I had to explain to my husband when I got home... Whoops! Oh and its 5* all inclusive... LOL... Oh well I deserve it! He will just have to work hard whilst I'm away to pay for it.... LOL

Right I'm off to think of beaches and cocktails...and hunt through my holiday clothes.
To be honest it would be sods law I got pregnant this month and can't go on holiday, this is the first time in 4years I have not wanted to be pregnant And it feels GREAT!

Hi Ready!
Thank you for remembering me!!

I wish that I'd been in Africa all this time!!!!!

I have checked in a few times but now find I'm a bit in limbo and don't 'fit' anywhere!!

nomore's right...we've started down the adoption route and have a training course coming up in a few weeks time. It's a long old drag though....just like FTC!!!!!

I will continue to lurk ready to congratulate all my old friends when they get their BFPs.
Cogs.
X

Gilly - that's great news! Hope it all goes well tomorrow.

Hope everyone else is doing well too. I'm pretty busy at work at the moment and trying not to think about TTC too much, but still thinking of all of you guys and hoping for some good news!

nomoremagnolia · 02/06/2008 14:25

Gilly Fantastic news! verything crossed for 1pm tomorrow then 22mm is very good too!

OP posts:
RahRah1 · 02/06/2008 19:58

WOW Gilly a 22MM - thats amazing!

I only ever got two decent sized eggs and I only reached about a 19MM - Fantastic! You have a massive baby on your hands if that one develops

Horray for male doctors! .. women can be so sour sometimes when they have to... you know! Look up other lady's parts... LOL
Oh well, least you are on the last hurdle.

Good luck at your interview... you will be thinking so much about the IUI, make sure you don't spout words like sperm, eggs, and masturbation at them!!!

Your right that bloody injection kills..

Now I'm going on to the IVF, I'm well miffed about all the injections, as it was bad enough on IUI with only one injection a month... I'm such a wimp!

HELLO to everyone else... hope all is well XX

nomoremagnolia · 02/06/2008 20:14

Rah the injections are much better when you are controlling them yourself, honestly For me the worst bit was definitely the nasal spray

viksam · 02/06/2008 21:21

Oh my god..........I soooooo hope the clomid works for me, its a walk in the park in comparison to all the injections and the like that u guys have been through!

gilly how does ur husband react to all the j---ing??? I have just mentioned the next stage if clomid doesnt work and he was monosalabic at best. Im not sure he will co-operate, its always so bad for them isnt it!!!! Best of luck tomorrow, let us know how u get on on all accounts!

Hi to everyone else!!!

Honestly Gilly (how many times do I have to say it ) the daily injections are fine - the hcg one did sting a bit but the daily ones - the needle is really thin, with icing the site first you don't feel anything and I only bruised twice (out of 14 injections) and it's all in a good cause

Hi Everyone,
thanks for the msg gilly glad to hear the treatment went well. My DH is lovely I love him to bits but he has been a pain in the butt over ttc. He would be just willing to carry on naturally and no matter how many times i have tried to explain the female time clock he just is so non commital about the whole thing. It took me a long time to convince him to do a sample, for ages he said he would never do it. He said if it was him at fault he would be worried i would go and find someone else. We see eye to eye about so many things, i find it so difficult to see where he is coming from and why he would be so stubbon. Ur DH sounds lovely and so supportive, i can barley speak to mine about this subject, it does make me feel isolated at times. Although AF is here today so clomid hasnt worked for the third month, i was feeling sorry for myself earlier and he was very sweet to me then so maybe things are improving.

Viksam I am so sorry to hear about AF.

I too had difficulties with dp and after the laporoscopy, he wanted to give up!!! It was only after our mc that he realised that he too would like children. Despite this it wasn't always plain sailing, my ovulation dates were often accompanied by his headaches and I am pretty sure that this pg was conceived on an argument over the fact that I was not in fact the virgin Mary capable of getting pg on my own. So please don't think you are alone in having a man with head in sand syndrome

kd73 · 05/06/2008 20:19

Oh by the way, the scan went really well yesterday. 11 + 4
