Thought it was time for a new thread - we're almost out of room on the original one

Oh and meant to say Duchesse, great news!! Chuffed for you. Worth the wait huh!!

nomoremagnolia · 12/01/2009 18:20

I think they are period related though - I'm just sross I'm getting pre-period symptoms so early. It's really annoying - especially as my 'hidden support' PJ top is still in the wash so I can't sleep comfortably GRR

nomore - my pram shortlist is now Quinny Buzz, Britax Vigour 3 and Mothercare Mychoice 3. My current plan is to take DH to Mothercare in a couple of months and see what he thinks of those ones. At the moment I think the Britax in kingfisher blue is my favourite, although not sure if I had a girl whether people would assume she was a boy...

I don't tend to get sore boobs but do get horrendously bloated for about a week before af so I can sympathise a bit.

(whispers) where did you get a hidden support pj top from???

Treats - glad the HyCoSy went ok and the results were clear.

RahRah1 · 13/01/2009 13:59

nomoremagnolia - I used to get that occassionally, started to notice that around day 5/6 post ovulation I was getting strong symptoms. Trouble is you always live in hope you are wrong and they are pg symptoms, but you tend to know yourself. ((HUGS))
Have you actually had your lap and dye? I had mine done just before Bertie and have a couple of scars, but no discomfort as I was asleep and work up a it high

AppleAndBlackberry - you are well ahead of me.. I don't have a clue and probably wont dare to look for a long while...how long do they take once you order them, just so I don't leave it too late..lol? We are looking for a new car. I have a 307 at the moment but its 2 litre diesel and just want a run around. I went to look at the Swifts the other day the 'super mini' as they have 5 doors and I can't believe how expensive 2nd hand small cars are at the moment and how little mine is now worth. They keep trying to push credit but we have cash and a budget and don't want credit. Know wonder there is so many debt problems in the UK....

Treats & mummy2olivia - welcome This thread has been so supportive and fantastic for me and such a lovely bunch of people. However people keep getting promoted at work and find less time to come on You know who you are you busy peeps!!!

Well I went for my consultants app on Fri and cervix is still closed and looks long and fundus is in the right place. Bloods were getting lower and have a low HB level so back on the most constipating stuff ever! - IRON!!!! GRRRRR YUK! to all those that can poo!!! LOL
I have to see him again in 2 weeks time.

Gilly & Ready hope you are well. I owe you an email Ready will get right on to it... lol

nomoremagnolia · 13/01/2009 19:49

Rah sympathise with you on the iron tablets, not nice. I haven't had L&D yet, still waiting to hear from hospital. I know I've been referred but haven't got a date yet.
A&B I wanted this one with the floral print bottoms, but my local shop didn't have it in my size. So I got a cheap one from M&S (a vest top with hidden 'crop top' type of thing inside it) HOWEVER going to look for that link I have found the bravissimo ones are not only in the sale but in my size (I think!) So A&B I could kiss you - I will get my PJs after all

Cute cami top!!

nomoremagnolia · 13/01/2009 22:14

I just emailed you to say look at the link I put on MN!!

AppleAndBlackberry · 14/01/2009 15:25

That's a gorgeous top - I wish they had my size in stock . I think I will stalk it and see if it comes back in later in the year.

nomoremagnolia · 14/01/2009 20:25

I'm sure thay'll do a 'new season' version - they have just expanded their nightwear to include nighties so I expect there will be new PJs too.

Rah - glad to hear things are still ok with you apart from the iron levels. I'm not actually planning on buying anything until 5 or 6 months, but had a slight all consuming baby-stuff obsession when we first started TTC (including spreadsheet...). I don't know how long it takes to get these things delivered, maybe allow a month? I'm sure as long as you have a car seat and moses basket in good time the other stuff doesn't matter too much.

rattling · 15/01/2009 16:55

Ready Can't believe this fabulous news hasn't reached me before now. And that you managed to keep it between just you and DH for so long. Huge congratulations.

How is everyone doing?

Wishing lots of luck in 2009 for my very special friends.

xxxx

AppleAndBlackberry · 23/01/2009 12:50

Hi everyone . I had my scan this week and everything was fine. It was so amazing to see the baby and see it moving and the heartbeat and I really actually believe I'm pregnant now!

Just the one as well - I had slightly wondered if it was twins because of being so sick, but it was definitely just one.

Now the scary part of actually telling people. I'm sure half the people I know have guessed already as I've been so ill, but in some ways that kind of makes it worse.

Hope everyone is having a good week - it's very quiet on here!

Ready · 24/01/2009 14:18

Apple&Black Lovely news about your scan, I totally understand the feeling scared about telling people. I was in tears after we had told friends - it just totally freaked me out. Hope you are starting to feel a bit better??

AppleAndBlackberry · 27/01/2009 09:40

Thanks Ready - I'm feeling much better now. I'm back at work and I think I've stopped being sick (fingers crossed!) Also bit the bullet and told everyone we know, which wasn't too hard in the end and everyone has been really pleased.

Forgot to say last week that I had this really weird dream about us all having a meet up. I think I had just watched a documentary about US Size Zero, so all of you were really tiny! Also my mum and sister were there for some reaosn, so I kept having to ask you your real life names in secret so they didn't know how we'd met! I think there was a big bus too. Strange overactive pregnancy dreams!

Hope everyone else is doing well. Thinking of you all.

Hi gilly I'm ok still waiting for L&D appt. Can't be bothered to chase them, actually can't be bothered much with ttc atm, just having a bit of time/space for me and DH rather than actively ttc iykwim.

what are you making baby hobnobs? I spent an hour picking up about 40 sts over and over trying to get it evenly spaced know what you mean, but it's worth doing it properly

OP posts:
nomoremagnolia · 31/01/2009 17:22

have just seen on ravelry what you're making - it's lovely have you tried splitting up the no of sts and the length? if you've got to pick uo 40 sts over say 16cm then mark it out and pick up 10 sts per 4cm? that's how i managed it in the end. sorry for lack of caps, cat sitting on one hand!!

It will be perfect for a boy or girl, I love the colour. When casting off I always use a needle at least one size bigger (sometimes two) as my casting off is tight. Or try the sewn cast off (I can point you towards instructions if you need them) I used that for some handwarmers as they ribbing needed to be super stretchy.
