Hello nomore- how are you flower?

still have your e-mail address! I'm terrible for staying in touch with people!

RahRah1 · 20/12/2008 10:58

Morning all...

Just ordered hubbie's xmas pressie and not got out of bed yet... great... Got him a touch I Pod.

nomoremagnolia - Thanks for posting your pic's.. omg your stuff is amazing, you have a real talent. Love your grannies pressie. Thanks so much for the offer of knitting my baby something, that is so kind. I would love something. I have not brought a thing and unlikely to buy anything for a long time, so it will be really nice to get an original nomoremagnolia. Hopefully we have plenty of time ahead of us. My consultant has advised because I have not had any heavy bleeding in the 1st trimester and placenta looks ok at this point then he would now increase my chances of a full term birth to 90%. I know he does not have a crystal ball and they only could hazard a guess at what happened last time, but they said if I reach 24 weeks with out any problems he really could not see me going into such early labour again. God I can waffle about myself... sorry...

Hi mummy2olivia... Glad you had your Lap and dye and been checked out... very reassuring. I had one done before Bertie. I was only talking to my friend yesterday about the painful experience of TTC. People just don't understand unless they have been through it. It is so bloody hard. When I had my last MC I really could not bare the idea of having to put more energy into TTC, but we all get back on the horse and try again as otherwise there is no chance of a baby... so frustrating! My friend said it must be weird having to have sex on demand... I said try doing it for 4 and 1/2 bloody long years... she has not even done it once! It makes for very special babies in the end! Wishing you a gentle day on the 24th, sending big hugs (((HUGS)))

Hello to everyone else... Xxxx

Gilly, so good to hear from you, sounds like you are working very hard in your new job. I hope it is helping to take your mind off of ttc at times ? a little respite is important I think. It also sounds as if you have been through the mill with the rental house ? the trials of being a landlord huh!!
Don?t worry about work and IVF, you will cope. I know you will. And they will be understanding, they have to be! Fingers crossed for you, as always.

Nomore ? I am looking forward to my knitted gift ? I just know it will be amazing! You really are so talented! Totally understand the need for distraction, so don?t apologise ? it?s lovely that we are all here chatting again though.

Rah, at your brother and SIL ? please do not let them spoil your Christmas. Honestly, they really are not worth it. I cannot believe the insensitivity of them, if I ever met them, it would be a difficult job to not say a few choice words. BUT remember, you can?t choose your family, but you can choose not to let them affect you. Keep telling yourself that they do not deserve any of your emotions and that you are by far the better person ? how shallow must their lives be if they get such fun from being so cruel and insensitive? such behaviour stems from self esteem issues, and inferiority complexes ? so just keep reminding yourself that you are on the better side of the fence!! Trust me!
Such great news about the nuchal scan, brilliant! And great news from the consultant about the lesser risk. Keep yourself rested and calm, and remember everyone is rooting for you and your dh.

Mum2O, sorry to hear that you are struggling with the memory of the mc it?s not a great time of year to be going through that. Try to take comfort in your daughter and your husband, and keep telling yourself that anecdotal evidence suggests that lots of women fall after the lap and dye ? the spring clean

I?ve got a busy afternoon planned, more knitting, some painting, card making (I know I have left it very late!) and cleaning the house. All of which needs to be done before the Strictly Final!!!

Hope everyone is just peachy. xx

kensgirl · 20/12/2008 14:43

Hello there! Just wanted to pop back in and say hello to some old friends, if anyone still remembers me that is! I don't really get time to post any more, but still reguarly lurk and see how everyone is getting on. Just wnted to say how much I still will everyone on to get the bfp's that are so long overdue to so many wonderful mummies in waiting, and have also quietly shared in your hopes and fears.
Keep going lovely ladies xx

kd73 · 23/12/2008 07:21

Hello Ladies,

Hope everyone is well and hope you shall forgive the me, me, me post.

After 5 yrs ttc, a little poking & prodding and much sex on demand... Aidan George arrived on Saturday weighing 8lbs 6oz. He is very battered and bruised due to forceps but otherwise in very good health with no evidence of the downs syndrome as suggested in the nuchal fold.

I will post more later but wanted to share the news with you all

Thank you for all your support it has mean't the absolute world to me.

RahRah1 · 23/12/2008 13:36

OHHHH kd73 ... Many congratulations on the safe arrival of baby Aiden.
So pleased he is in good health and is a blooming good size! (OUCH)

What a wonderful xmas pressie for you and your family... Enjoy and have a fantastic xmas with your little one.

kensgirl - Hi there ... WAVES

Ready - Hope you got everything done before the strictly final.... Where you pleased with Tom winning it? Glad Lisa did not win she is so posy! And very annoying!

Hello to everyone else. Went to M&S to get a few snacks yesterday as only in the house one day over the whole xmas period... £209 later!!!! OMG .. but have loads of chocolate and trifles Someone is going to get porky! I am already bigger now at 14 weeks than 24 weeks with Bertie... Oh well I will have to sort it out afterwards.. probably not the best policy, but I'm normally very good, but can't keep away from food! WHOOPS... Got called to the hospital on Monday morning... thought they had discovered some horrible disease, but it was just to discuss my medication with the hematologist/immunologist and he was happy with my progress... woooohooo.. Except I injected into a muscle the other day and made a real mess of my tummy and decided I was going to die of a hideous death... but still live and still as dramatic!

Whoops sorry for the waffle about me and me and more me .. hope you are all OK.... catch you laters Xxx

Sorry for gate-crashing (but big wave to Nomore and Gilly) but I just wanted to congratulate Ready. I am so very pleased for you - . Am quite impressed you managed to keep it quiet until now! (I did that in real life until after my 13 week scan but not on here!)

kd73 · 03/01/2009 10:05

Congratulations Ready and a VERY Happy New Year to you

Thank you Gilly for your St Gerard card, please put Ready up there for us as it would seem you have that magic touch! How did your appt go on the 29th? Sending you baby dust

Rah How are you doing - hope all is well!

NoMore Wishing you a happy New Year and much baby dust.

Apologies to all those I will have missed and sending you love and baby dust!

PS Aidan is lovely but boy is he LOUD at night, last night he was inconsolable and screamed, screamed, screamed solidly for 3 hours, which is out of character so ended up in A&E at midnight as we thought he might have something wrong with his tummy, as he sounded in pain. Anyway upon promptly arriving at A&E, he settled down and became the model child again, whilst we his parents, came across as positively neurotic. Anyway, the good news is he was fine and has fed twice since getting home at 2.30am!

minxi · 03/01/2009 10:40

Ready such fantastic news - I knew you would get there in the end.... Congratulations

AppleAndBlackberry · 03/01/2009 11:23

Huge congratulations Ready!!! Are we expecting 4 summer babies now? I think I've lost count .

Also to kd - what lovely news about Aiden .

I've been mainly in bed or throwing up over the last two weeks, so sorry for the lack of thread-attendance but I'm feeling reasonable today so I thought I would post.

Got my scan booked for 3 week's time, but we've told our parents already because I was so ill over Christmas we thought they would either guess or think I was dying!

Sorry to hear about your fibroid Gilly. Has there been any news? Thinking of you x.

Ready · 03/01/2009 13:14

It is very overwhelming how lovely everyone is with my news. I feel like I am floating on a cloud at the moment.
I still have to tell myself it is real. I had lots of tears yesterday - because everyone knows in RL and I went into shock a little bit.
That sounds so melodramatic doesn't it... but it was our little secret for so long, and I just got so panicked that now we have told people, the bubble will burst. Dh was brilliant, just hugged me as I sobbed.
I know, I know. I am mental. I am blaming it on the hormones

So... enough of my waffle... how is everyone??? Gilly, really hope you have had a fab time away for New Year - what's the latest with all the appts??
Kensgirl, gorgeous names for your gorgeous girl. Sorry to hear that the birth was traumatic - but you are here, and that is wonderful.
Kd - scary stuff with Aidan, but I did chuckle at him being a dream in A&E, I am sure they are used to it.
Apple&Black - sorry you have been so poorly. Morning sickness? Or should I say pregnancy sickness?
Everyone else... I have run out of time... but you are all just as important to me... I will return.

xxx

mowmi · 03/01/2009 18:45

Ready - congratulations! I hope you remember my name? I used to post on here but I've been hiding away on the assisted conception thread for a while!!
Congratulations to all of you who've had your long awaited BFP.
I finally got one too after 3 attempts of IVF! but I'm only 5 and a bit weeks and very nervous about my early scan next week.

Congratulations again and all the luck in the world to those still waiting!

x

kd73 · 03/01/2009 19:30

Congratulations Mowmi - fingers crossed for you x

BellaBear · 03/01/2009 20:08

I've just posted on Ready's thread but I wanted to poke my nose in here and wave to a few old friends as we come up to Seth's first birthday

xx

Ready · 04/01/2009 11:20

Scorpio, I most certainly have already been eyeing up the bugaboo. I love it. Love it. Dh loves it too ? although he is much more pragmatic than me and wants to go and play with a variety before we make a decision? but to be honest, it was playing with one with nomore that really sold it to me

Mowmi, if I remember right, didn?t you have pcos? 3rd time lucky huh! Congratulations!! Rest up plenty. Will you have a scan early? Or wait til 12 weeks?

Bella,

How is everyone?

Ready · 04/01/2009 11:56

PS.. Is it ok if I stay? I promise I won't go on about pregnancy all the time - but this thread really feels like home... I want to wait til we are all graduates.
