5 days late, had slight blood the day after I was due when wiping then spend last night in tears as had some brown when I wiped.

woke up this morning and decided to test again as no actual period yet.

i did 3 tests 🙈 husband can see them too but says we should just stay calm and relax 😂 we’ve been ttc for over 10yrs so we’re both extremely cautious

Yes the EPU never called me for a scan so that’s what I’m being cautious of. It could be left over from the MC. Hence me not getting my hopes up yet

Hi OP I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you that this is a new, healthy pregnancy for you.

Please do get an appointment with Early Pregnancy as soon as you can though. I've had a few ectopics, and in the second one I had late faint pregnancy tests followed by large clotty bleeding which looked like tissue passing rather than clots. It ended up still being a progressing ectopic pregnancy which continued despite passing the unusual material.

Common themes (I've had 3) are missed periods, very faint pregnancy tests, tests which darken but only very slowly, passing large clots, cramps.

I really hope I'm wrong, but I also do try and pass on my experiences to others just in case.

🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

Thank you for your reply. I completely understand where you are coming from and appreciate you sharing your expertise. Thank you so much for replying to me.

my best friend is a midwife and I’ve just spent the last hour on the phone talking to her. She has said it could be my previous pregnancy still although she is convinced it couldnt be an eptopic due to lack of pain. She’s thinking I’m either still pregnant from the loss (twin loss) or a new pregnancy) she’s convinced my miscarriage shouldn’t be showing so strong,,,,,

honestly I’m so confused right now

Another possibility is if you've had a molar pregnancy, which is still ongoing.

So maybe you're still pregnant from the first pregnancy, and your miscarriage is incomplete. You were never scanned, were you?

cherrybl0ssom5 · 03/08/2024 22:32

wow whatever the case hopefully you get some answers asap, fingers and toes crossed for you! x

BluPeony · 03/08/2024 22:42

DoraBella88 · 04/08/2024 04:41

Ah OP sorry no one was around at that early hour! Have you spoken to your husband now??

Those tests all look great, but I would definitely try to not get hopes up just yet incase it is hormones left over from MC. I think it's more likely from the sounds of everything you have said that it IS a new pregnancy, but just keep that reservation in there somewhere until you can get a scan.

Only a scan will truly tell you so I'd definitely be making contact with the EPU as soon as possible / explain etc and/or GP for some bloods to look at levels.

Good luck!!! Keeping everything crossed for you!! X

DoraBella88 · 04/08/2024 08:11

Thank you. I woke my husband up at 6.30 because I just couldn’t wait any more 😂 he’s just as confused as I am.

im not getting my hopes up yet. I don’t think I’m strong enough right now to deal with the disappointment of thinking I am then finding out I’m not.

im going to call the EPU today. The worst they can do is tell me to contact the gp tomorrow

After you’ve tried for so long to conceive and after having such a disappointment recently I really hope they’re able to see you soon and give you some answers at least. Good luck 😊

Thank you so much. I’m just in disbelief that I’m in this situation. So wish I’d kept on testing now instead of being in limbo land

I was never scanned. The bleeding was very heavy, clotty and I passed some large tissue which I am assuming was the pregnancy. The few symptoms I had went and I had ewcm a few weeks ago which would indicate ovulation for me.

im going to do a clear blue digital tomorrow and see what it says

I dont know if this is helpful or not, but I had a MASSIVE bleed at 14 weeks, with clots.

We went to the hospital, and because it was Friday the scanners were not available. The Dr said come back on Monday for a scan, do not let anyone go in and clear you out.
He said in 95% of cases the pg is viable.

edit he is19 now

DontBiteTheCat · 04/08/2024 11:37

I had 4mc in total, both of my children were conceived straight after a MC with no period in between…I do believe you’re extra fertile after a loss.

I am PRAYING this is your miracle OP x

Thank you. That’s incredible for you though. As soon as I started bleeding my fatigue vanished almost immediately. And I’m pretty certain I ovulated

thank you so much

Thank you, I was in 2 minds about posting, as obviously not every blood loss will be ok.

I hope everything works out for you x

Also, if you were still pregnant from the last time, you'd be much more than 1 - 2 weeks now.

Yes exactly my thoughts. It unlikely I would have the same levels of hormones I had when I did the first digital test if it was the original pregnancy

Were you able to speak to the EPU or are they closed today?

DoraBella88 · 04/08/2024 13:49

There was no answer so assuming they are closed. I’ll call my gp first thing in the morning
