5 days late, had slight blood the day after I was due when wiping then spend last night in tears as had some brown when I wiped.

woke up this morning and decided to test again as no actual period yet.

i did 3 tests 🙈 husband can see them too but says we should just stay calm and relax 😂 we’ve been ttc for over 10yrs so we’re both extremely cautious

Congratulations! You must be absolutely over the moon! ✨

Try not to worry about the bleeding, it could just be your body clearing out some old stuff. I've had bleeding with both of my pregnancies now and have been thoroughly reassured that it can be completely normal hormonal changes 😊 I take Pregnacare which has a mix of good stuff included but folic acid is the one that's most important 😊

Thank you. I’m in shock! And I’ve just had a call from the hospital to book my investigation scan as been struggling with fertility! I told the lady on the phone I’d just had a positive result and burst in to tears! How funny I got that call today! She said she got chills lol.

I think I’m going to change over to pregnacare as that will have everything I need in it

With Pregnacare if you get nauseous after starting it might be useful to switch to a different brand (learnt this on MN).

Thanks for the tip. I’ll start with them then switch if I need to

I second this - was taking pregnacare and started getting awful nausea, stopped taking them & it’s calmed down.

congratulations!! 🥳

I like the sound of that 😂

im waiting for him to get home to tell him. He saw the other tests and said “I can see them, let’s just wait and see” 😂 I think we’re both a bit in denial as it’s been what we’ve wanted for so long.

my best friend is a midwife and I called her as soon as the digital came back positive. The pair of us were both crying 😂

I really want to try and enjoy this moment but I won’t lie, I’m so scared it won’t stick

Please try and relax a little, I know it’s easier said than done.

Today, you are pregnant and the odds are in your favour. Everything is well x

I can understand your being anxious about the pregnancy sticking. That's natural.

But you and your husband must be thrilled!

DoraBella88 · 02/07/2024 15:01

That’s what I keep telling myself. I AM pregnant right now. So enjoy it. I’m naturally a very anxious person anyway so this is going to be fun lol

I’m in complete shock and I think husband is in denial. He doesn’t know about the digital test yet 🙈 I can’t wait to see his face

Oooh what's the reason for this? Only asking as currently taking them and have quite bad nausea but unsure whether it's just pregnancy related or not. I started taking them almost as soon as I knew so it's hard to tell 😬 had morning sickness with my first but didn't take Pregnacare with him until after it stopped

BebbanburgIsMine · 02/07/2024 15:39

Aww,

Congratulations! How lovely 🥰

Wishing you all the best in your pregnancy Flowers

Olika · 02/07/2024 16:38

@2BabyOrNot2Baby I don't know what's the reason for it but this is what I read a lot on MN. If I was pregnant again I would try another brand, perhaps Proceive.

strawberryblue · 02/07/2024 21:52

What a lovely post!!! Congratulations to you!!! Xx

Fraaahnces · 03/07/2024 10:21

@DoraBella88 I understand that feeling well. I had many, many miscarriages at many stages. My 20 year old now lives out of home (sent me video of her dancing at a Boney M concert - I used to dance to them around the table when I was 5!!!!), My 18 year old twins are playing their usual game of one coming in asking what’s for dinner and the other flying out the door to a friend’s place. If they weren’t boy/ girl twins it would almost be a Clark Kent/Superman in the same room situation.

Aww I’m so happy you got your lovely family 🥰

in the 10+ yrs we’ve been trying we have had one suspected miscarriage, I never had the BFP but what I went through Drs put it down to that. Other than that, I’ve never had even a hint of a line in all that time. That’s why im so scared. Doing everything in my power to make it stick.

my best friend is a midwife and spoke with a dr this morning and they have suggested 150grams of aspirin a day to try and help it stick. So will be getting some of that on my lunch break 🤞

He welled up when he saw it and spent the night in shock 😂. He just kept saying “after more than 10years how have we managed to do it now?!” It still doesn’t feel real.
he’s already pandering to me 😂 I told him I could get used to this. We’re both so shocked it’s happened naturally. Just praying it sticks!!!

Ahhh how sweet, I'm so excited for you guys 🥰 Sometimes the most beautiful things just take a little longer ❤️ I'm keeping everything crossed for you! 🤞🏻

But yes, do put your feet up, try your best to relax (though I know how difficult it can be when you're so excited lol) and take it easy. It's amazing your husband is already stepping up, let him look after you, you're about to go through one of the most incredible journeys of a lifetime, save your energy for you and bubs 🥰 wishing you all the luck in the world x
