5 days late, had slight blood the day after I was due when wiping then spend last night in tears as had some brown when I wiped.

woke up this morning and decided to test again as no actual period yet.

i did 3 tests 🙈 husband can see them too but says we should just stay calm and relax 😂 we’ve been ttc for over 10yrs so we’re both extremely cautious

Thanks everyone.

Blood test done. Was just on the general blood department and I suffer with awful anxiety. So I spent the time focusing on not having a panic attack or fainting. So did it and ran out…. Without asking when the results would be in or about a follow up test! but when I speak with the doctor about the results, whenever that may be I will request a second one and get to go through it all again.

still no AF shown though

You were incredibly brave to do this - needle phobias and anxiety are horrible things. Hopefully this and the second one will give you the answers you need - I have everything crossed for you xx

DoraBella88 · 07/08/2024 15:41

Thank you. Needles don’t worry me but being in a hospital does. The nurse was brilliant though chatting to me throughout. When we left I had a little cry on my OH 🙈 then dusted myself off and jumped back in the car to work.

hoping for some answers soon fingers crossed 🤞

Definitely. I’ve been so lucky with the ladies who have chosen to follow this rollercoaster and support me ❤️

Well done for doing it, @DoraBella88. You've done the hard part now, just another waiting game for your results but hopefully you get them really soon. Don't think too much about the second one just yet, that can be discussed when you receive your results. Fingers crossed it's good news 🤞🏻 x

Thanks you. Back to the waiting game.
still feeling like AF could come 🙈

TheShellBeach · 07/08/2024 18:29

That's the same feeling you'd get in early pregnancy.
Let's hope you get good results.

DoraBella88 · 07/08/2024 18:31

Yeah it’s all so similar which is annoying 🙈😂 if AF does come then at least I know what’s going on

1woodpecker · 07/08/2024 19:19

Have you got the nhs app Dora? Wonder if you’ll get the results any sooner on there. Sometimes helpful, sometimes not!

DoraBella88 · 07/08/2024 19:32

@1woodpecker no I haven’t. I’ll have a look at that now. Before all this I hadn’t been to the doctors in like 10yrs 😂 off to download it now though

DoraBella88 · 08/08/2024 06:45

Thank you @MocktailMe

Morning ladies. Hope everyone is ok?

another morning and more POAS! Felt like AF was coming last night but so far this morning nothing. Still have sensitive boobs and feeling extremely tired, but this could be the stress of everything.

this mornings tests…. I really need to try and not test tomorrow 🙈😂

The cb looks stronger to me? Honestly I’m so invested in this and willing every day for a positive update from you, we all are! I checked it last night then dreamt that you went for a scan and all was well!

DontBiteTheCat · 08/08/2024 07:54

I think the CB is getting darker too.

OP, can you get your hands on any First Respose Early tests? My internet cheapies stayed like yours but my FR were really strong.

I hope you get some answers today x

DoraBella88 · 08/08/2024 08:24

@Strictlymad aww thanks! That’s the sort of dreams I’m having 😂

@DontBiteTheCat yes I do think the CB is getting darker too. I will try and find some FR early detection today. It’s surprising how little range some shops have. I will definitely have a look though

OP posts:
Itonlytakesone · 08/08/2024 08:49

@DoraBella88

The cb is definitely darker from yesterday. After your spotting the other day if that was AF it would 100% have started by now so it obviously wasn't that. I'm so invested in this story now too really hoping it's a new and progressing pregnancy! Smile

DoraBella88 · 08/08/2024 09:20

@Itonlytakesone i really think so too. I think that’s why I prefer the CB, they look darker whereas the pink dye just look so faint 😂
thank you so much for your kind words.

I will try and get a FRER today for the morning 🙈

I know when I was testing the only place I could find them was my local chemist, they didn’t have them anywhere else! I think Amazon may stock them too x

2BabyOrNot2Baby · 08/08/2024 12:04

That ClearBlue is definitely more prominent! I'm not sure where about you are (and I've not bought them myself) but the only place I've seen FRERs is Amazon. They just may not be highly sought out in my area though. Hopefully you can source some!

If it helps at all, that 'Oh my god, AF is coming' feeling has been a regular thing with both my pregnancies. You're right, unfortunately the symptoms of AF & pregnancy are just too similar 🙃 hope today is easier on you

GelatoPistacchio · 08/08/2024 12:17

I think FRERs were discontinued in shops because of reliability issues. I was surprised as they were everywhere a couple of years ago. I couldn't find much info online but what I did see suggested there were too many faint line false positives/evaps.

I wonder if this is why the cheapies are showing such faint lines for everyone in comparison to the blue dye ones (I've seen this on other threads too). Maybe they reduced the sensitivity to avoid false positives?

2BabyOrNot2Baby · 08/08/2024 12:35

@GelatoPistacchio Oh wow, that's surprising. I see them being recommended a lot on Mumsnet.

I think the easy at home/premom cheapies are lower sensitivity. I got my first hint of a positive with one of these at 8dpo, though hardly visible at all! Interesting how differently some tests work

Turbulent1 · 08/08/2024 13:23

I always like the clear blue and then digitalis to follow weeks. Good luck with your blood tests will be hoping to hear good results for you

That’s good to know. That feeling has gone now thankfully but that may not last lol.

so far so good today so hopefully it stays that way

That’s interesting to know. Makes me feel better about my faint lines.
