I just wanted to start a thread for those who’ve been trying for a little while (or a long while) and it doesn’t seem to be happening. It’s great seeing all the positives on the TTC threads but I’m starting to find it a little disheartening as it seems to be happening quickly for almost everyone but me! Statistics seem to vary but suggest between 60-70% of couples get pregnant within three months. We’ll be heading into cycle 5 shortly TTC our first, both in our early 30s.

Is anyone else in a similar situation?

I'm 1 dpo today. My ovulation actually felt promising this month ( I get pains), I ovulated from the side with the tube and a few hours after my opk peak which is very promising. One month I had ovulation pains 5 days before the peak, and another 3 days after. Those were the only two months I ovulated on that side in the last 3 years.

I'm not holding out too much hope since I know that ovary isn't very healthy. It's has 2 cysts and also had a massive cyst removed last summer. When I had my scan on day 9, they said there were only 2 follicles on that side but 7 on the other - so it's one of those two that ovulated surprisingly. I just want to have my 2nd child so I can complete our family then I want that ovary removed.

@Shortcake06 I'm really hoping it's our month. I took an ovulation test out of curiosity and got a strong line . Of course that's no pregnancy test and that one was a stark negative. I really should wait until Saturday to test again but I might tomorrow morning.

We’ve been ttc #3 for 3 years now. I have PCOS. #1 took 2 years (and I needed clomid) #2 took 18 months and we are now trying ovulation induction with Letrozole so fingers crossed that will work I was told it’s now the treatment for pcos instead of clomid (I needed 2 cycles of clomid for #1)

im 28, partner is almost 30 and we’re currently heading into cycle 6 of trying for #2 since our miscarriage at 9 weeks in November. In June we would have been trying a year with a miscarriage in between. It’s new territory for me as we conceived DD1 within 2 months and that was a textbook pregnancy and birth.

I find comfort in these threads and it’s nice to know I’m not alone.

@Favofit I think it’s pretty common to get a dark opk before it shows on a pregnancy test.

Today after sex I started lightly cramping and then had some more stitch pain. Could it mean something or just wishful thinking.

Morning everyone! Got my day 3 bloods today and results next week. Has anyone else had these done? What were the results like? I’m early 30s so I’m pretty convinced they’re going to be normal, which is good if a little frustrating!

I am 4dpo after a very strong peak last Sunday (was 200%). For some reason I decided to take another one today and it’s positive but not as strong as my last peak.

I had strong ovulation cramps which makes me think I did ovulate on my last peak. But I’m very confused. I’ve been having niggling cramps ever since and a lot of cm.

Do you think I’m still yet to ovulate?

I hope for you that it's all normal, but it might also be that's something is off but that it's easily treatable

@emmatcc1 I'm so confused at this point . Premom says I'm 2 days late but I think I'm not due until tomorrow. I've taken another early detection test and it's stark white.
I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you light cramping could be something ❤️

@mamataylor hi, we are the same boat trying for no 2 after a miscarriage last summer. My first child was conceived after 6 cycles and had a textbook pregnancy so this has all been difficult. Where are you in your cycle?
@YaWeeFurryBastard hopefully you get your results back quickly 🤞 it’s good they are looking into it!
@Marie1990x im no expert but I think once you have ovulated your LH levels can go up and down during the luteal phase. I listened to a good podcast called as a woman by Natalie Crawford and she says there is no point testing LH after you’ve had your peak, but of course you will get different advice!

im now CD 15 and have got a positive OPK 🥳
it will probably get a bit stronger still so think ill peak this afternoon.
We have DTD every day for the last 3 days and will again today and tomorrow. I’ll be knackered 😂

@Shortcake06 that’s great thanks so much for the info 😊. Put my mind at rest, I hope I didn’t ovulate with that as we didn’t dtd. I did another and it’s back down to being faint again now 🤞🏻.

@Shortcake06 bloody hell 😂 5 days in a row! We did every other day last month having previously done SMEP. Debating every other day this month or SMEP again 🤔 obviously neither have worked previously!

AF has just started unfortunately. I'm going to book the hsg now and try the smep method this month as well as test for ovulation and check bbt. I really want this ❤️

@YaWeeFurryBastard it really is !! I just want to scream and cry. I was thinking I might have a large glass of red wine tonight but part of me thinks it's a bad idea.

I’m okay, I’ve started cramping and my usual fuller pms boobs arrived this afternoon, which usually happens a week before AF is due. I’m due on 13th so slightly sooner but exactly the same so I don’t have much hope for this cycle. So I’ve bought myself some wine for tonight 😂

I hope it happens for you too and soon. It's so draining and difficult but I want it even more than before. Like the saying goes, you're not out until AF shows, there's still a chance
