I just wanted to start a thread for those who’ve been trying for a little while (or a long while) and it doesn’t seem to be happening. It’s great seeing all the positives on the TTC threads but I’m starting to find it a little disheartening as it seems to be happening quickly for almost everyone but me! Statistics seem to vary but suggest between 60-70% of couples get pregnant within three months. We’ll be heading into cycle 5 shortly TTC our first, both in our early 30s.

Is anyone else in a similar situation?

@RRAEE omg yessssss definitely a line!!! Do you have any other tests? Everything crossed for you.

@YaWeeFurryBastard lovely to hear 🥰

RRAEE · 29/09/2024 18:26

Im going to do another test in the morning on more concentrated wee lol, to confirm its real. i have some cramping but hoping thats normal. Im trying not to get my hopes up incase but im still freaking out 😅

@YaWeeFurryBastard glad everything is going well for you 💕

Daniki · 29/09/2024 18:44

@RRAEE defo normal! I'm having cramps here and there since transfer, I'm 5 weeks today! Had to check with my friends if it was normal as I can't remember with my son 😂 so happy for you! Xx

RRAEE · 29/09/2024 18:54

@Daniki this will be my first. I honestly thought it was gunna be stark white. Im hoping tomorrow that its more clear. We both dont believe it atm. Im literally CD 43 aswell and was fully negative 2/3 days ago so did not expect to see anything.

Daniki · 29/09/2024 18:57

@RRAEE prob just ovulated later in your cycle, especially if they're all over the place 🥹

RRAEE · 29/09/2024 19:04

@Daniki i initially thought the Myo-inositol had just messed my cycle even though i had to stop it due to side effects 🤷🏻‍♀️ maybe it actually helped for the brief time i took it 😅

Daniki · 29/09/2024 19:08

@RRAEE sounds like it! Hope you get a lovely line in the morning 🥰

RRAEE · 29/09/2024 19:11

@Daniki thank you 🤞🏻 ill let you know how it goes 🙂

Marie1990x · 30/09/2024 08:17

@RRAEE did you re-test? 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

Daniki · 30/09/2024 09:08

🤞🏻🙏 for you @RRAEE

RRAEE · 30/09/2024 17:22

Im so confused 😕 i had negative tests this morning so thinking its a false positive. But never on a test have i had any lines so go knows. Maybe my hold wasn't long enough this morning 🤷🏻‍♀️ still no AF either so not sure what to do.

Daniki · 30/09/2024 17:33

@RRAEE Jesus how annoying! What about going to the doc for a blood test? Also maybe your SMU/evening urine is stronger than first, as that's the case with me x

RRAEE · 30/09/2024 17:36

@Daniki ive been at work all day so not had chance to do anything and been constantly worried imma come on or have come on even tho every time its nothing. Im trying to hold a wee now as long as i can to do another test and see if any diff. But ill call tomorrow if i get chance as I'm 12 days late now. Its hard to call at work as no where private to really go 😅

Marie1990x · 30/09/2024 18:32

@RRAEE oh my gosh how incredibly frustrating! Were they stark white or maybe a hint of a line this morning? Keeping everything crossed for you

Daniki · 30/09/2024 19:24

@RRAEE god that is so frustrating! I'd try a 3/4 hr hold before testing, yea it's the same in mine work zero privacy 😂

RRAEE · 30/09/2024 19:34

@Marie1990x yea stark white this morning 😕

@Daniki im up to 4hrs now. Trying to make it even longer 😅

Daniki · 30/09/2024 19:40

@RRAEE oh good! Did u get diff tests or using the same brand?

RRAEE · 30/09/2024 19:43

@Daniki i originally used wondfo as never had any issues. Will use them again later and i have some german ones from amazon 😅 and i have a digital that i dont want to use yet. So ill see how that goes and ill order some boots ones.

RRAEE · 01/10/2024 07:23

Deffo was a false positive.☹️ had numerous negative tests since. Still no sign of AF so guess i just gotta wait now 13 days late. If nothing by end of the week ill call the doctors and see if they can issue a blood test.

Feel stupid for getting my hopes up and crushed that it was false 💔 .

Daniki · 01/10/2024 08:50

@RRAEE aw I'm so sorry that's so bloody cruel! And there was colour to that line on your test and every thing 😭

Marie1990x · 01/10/2024 17:17

@RRAEE I’m so sorry, that was a really really cruel false positive 😔. Good idea speaking to the doctors, hopefully they will be able to give some advice.

I got my scan results today on the app. Looks like it’s definitely PCOS from what the report suggests. Will see what the doctor says at my appointment.

It does say there is a dominant follicle present so maybe I have a chance to actually ovulate this cycle? I’m CD13 so would be accurate timing? Although I don’t know if you always have this even if you don’t ovulate. It’s all so confusing

Daniki · 01/10/2024 20:10

@Marie1990x maybe they will do medicated cycles with you using a trigger shot? Seems
To work well with PCOS!

They mentioned clomid as a possibility, but of course that will depend if they’re willing to give it me having already got a child.

I have just got a strong peak on an OPK. I know they’re not 100% reliable especially with PCOS, but most of my “peaks” in the last few months have just been slightly darker than the test line, haven’t had one this strong in a while. My scan showed a dominant follicle, so I’m hoping it’s a true peak 🤞🏻

How are you getting on?
