TTC for those taking longer than average ✨

I just wanted to start a thread for those who’ve been trying for a little while (or a long while) and it doesn’t seem to be happening. It’s great seeing all the positives on the TTC threads but I’m starting to find it a little disheartening as it seems to be happening quickly for almost everyone but me! Statistics seem to vary but suggest between 60-70% of couples get pregnant within three months. We’ll be heading into cycle 5 shortly TTC our first, both in our early 30s.

Is anyone else in a similar situation?

@RRAEE thank you! I can't get over the difference between them and the cheapies I was using, the cheapies were so faint and I had myself in an awful panic! Hopefully it goes the right way iv had the odd tiny speck of spotting here and then and can feel pulling in my stomach but I do realise it can be normal! Roll on next wed for the blood test so I can hopefully put myself at ease 🙈

@Daniki id be the same. But it looks good on those tests 🤞🏻let us know how the blood test goes. Hopefully its a sticky bean.

@Marie1990x i gave up with those ages ago. Plus i read some where that apparently they aren't accurate if you have PCOS. 🤷🏻‍♀️

@RRAEE yeah I’ve read that too. I’m pretty sure I have PCOS (going off Hertility bloods and symptoms), I tend to have quite high readings throughout but will get a peak most cycles (different day eeeeevery month), so still using them 🤦🏻‍♀️

@Marie1990x i found them a bit all over the place some months and some months more accurate but i go of my body symptoms now as they are consistent every month plus try to cover as much of the window as i can. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Yeah it’s definitely a personal thing isn’t it, doesn’t work for everyone. When I do get a peak I do tend to come on exactly 2 weeks later so I like to use them mostly so I have an idea when to expect af.

@Marie1990x yeah i did had another negative. Im 7 days late and still nothing and another negative test this morning so probs another off cycle x

I got my blood results back today, officially pregnant 🥹❤️ I know that can be triggering to read when you're TTC so long, but we can all get there. It's been a long 2.5 years! These groups have been a lifesaver ❤️

And @SWeal reading your post from last month broke my heart. I have just entered cycle 11 of TTC for number 1 and psychologically it feels very difficult! Did your DH get his SA results back?

@CoolSummer89 I actually got my BFP 2 weeks ago, but i’ve been having bad cramps since Sunday and rushed to hospital yesterday to find out I had a ruptured eptopic. I had emergency surgery last night, had my left tube removed. Feeling numb at the moment, it’s all happened so fast. I can’t believe this has happened 💔

@Marie1990x Thank you, it was really awful. I thought I was pregnant for 2 weeks after a year of trying, just trying to accept that i’m not pregnant and TTC continues xx

edit: sorry its blurry im shaking i really hope its real after all this time trying. Im 11 days lates no sign of anything no AF nothing just thought id do a last test before calling the docs as thought would be stark white 😫

Everything seems to be going well here and we’ve had a healthy 20 week scan. Fingers crossed this thread continues to bring luck and babies 👶🏻.
