I just wanted to start a thread for those who’ve been trying for a little while (or a long while) and it doesn’t seem to be happening. It’s great seeing all the positives on the TTC threads but I’m starting to find it a little disheartening as it seems to be happening quickly for almost everyone but me! Statistics seem to vary but suggest between 60-70% of couples get pregnant within three months. We’ll be heading into cycle 5 shortly TTC our first, both in our early 30s.

Is anyone else in a similar situation?

Did you test again @Daniki ?🤞🏻

Daniki · 18/09/2024 10:06

@Marie1990x I did and it's slightly darker so taking that as a pos! I might try and hold off for a few days incase I start to spiral 😂🙈

MaybeItsJustTimeToStop · 18/09/2024 12:58

How exciting @daniki congratulations!

Amazing news! So happy for you 😊. You’re stronger than me, think I’d be doing a test every time I needed to pee just to see it 😂

Daniki · 18/09/2024 17:22

@Marie1990x well I am the same because I done that when I came home from work and I think it was a bit light so I'm raging at myself for testing now! I'm going to keep weeping to try and get some control of myself and leave it at least to the morning 😂

Thank you @MaybeItsJustTimeToStop hopefully it works out 🙏🙏

RRAEE · 18/09/2024 17:42

@Daniki i see a line. ! Thats great 😊

And im apparently late by one day now but not had time to test as new job keeping me busy and have zero time in the mornings 😴
But i have no real symptoms yet of af 🤷🏻‍♀️

Daniki · 18/09/2024 18:18

@RRAEE that's good you're been distracted! 🥰 can't say iv much symptoms either so I wouldn't worry about that 🥰

Marie1990x · 19/09/2024 07:31

@Daniki ahhh gosh I’m sure it will just have been because it was afternoon diluted ☺️.

Back to CD1 for me!

Daniki · 19/09/2024 09:06

Oh no it came! 🙃 when is your ultrasound again @Marie1990x? Yea it was just diluted I got a stronger one this morning anyway 😂 il
Try and leave the testing til tomorrow morning now 😂

Yeyyyy amazing! So glad it’s all working out for you 🥰.

I knew I didn’t really have a shot this cycle as we hadn’t really dtd at the right time with the new job etc taking my time and thoughts away.

My ultrasound is on the 30th. Been looking at my notes on the app and the GP had said to make a follow up appointment after my bloods and ultrasound. Don’t know whether to get it booked in now for a few days after the scan? My letter says the ultrasound results will be sent back to my GP within 2 days. Would you book an appointment in for around that time? Don’t want to wait until after and not be able to get in for ages 🤔

Daniki · 19/09/2024 09:29

@Marie1990x oh defo id get all booked in so you're not hanging around waiting on them to call, that wait will be like the TWW! 🙈 not long to go now for you thankfully, wouldn't it be great to just get a full body scan and it can tell you everything that's wrong and how to fix it 😂

Marie1990x · 19/09/2024 09:38

@Daniki I’ve booked it in for the following Friday. They had earlier appointments but I thought I’d give them a few days to get the results 😅.

That would be the dream; tell me what needs doing and give me a pill to swallow and it’s magically fixed everything 😂🤞🏻. I think worst case would be they didn’t find anything that would stop me from conceiving and then we’re back at square one with no where to go!

Daniki · 19/09/2024 20:15

@Marie1990x omg I know that be the dream! 😂 yea it's like nice to know nothing wrong with you but then, what the hell is the issue then!?

I hope not too triggering for anyone but iv attached my progession tests below, im spiralling thinking im having a chemical. Had some spotting again earlier, i just duno how to keep calm! 😓

Marie1990x · 19/09/2024 20:30

@Daniki absolutely! Surely they must find something since it’s been like 18 months now!

Which is the latest test? Third down looks great!!!!

Daniki · 19/09/2024 20:38

@Marie1990x they'll prob just tell you to stop stressing, relax and it will happen when you least expect it 🤢😅😂 could be something simple like hormonal imbalance!
Third one down is the one I just done this evening 🙏

Marie1990x · 19/09/2024 21:26

@Daniki I’d definitely be happy with those lines! I know it’s easier said than done but it looks like they’re going in the right direction for sure. Isn’t it mad how you know exactly when the baby was made!!

Tbh I’m not as worked up about it now as I was before. I think depending on what comes back, we would consider going private but will see what they say

Daniki · 19/09/2024 21:30

@Marie1990x good idea, and I'd def recommend private especially if it's going to take ages for apps, obv depending how much you can afford tho. We had to borrow for our cycle so hoping it does work out there's not much more to stretch! I think I'm just stuck in my own head, I'm afraid to believe it might be ok and that il jinx myself by believing it 😅

RRAEE · 19/09/2024 21:45

@Daniki its still early, its impossible to not stress so i dont know why people say not to, but hopefully you progression gets darker and darker.

@Marie1990x i think mine is going to start tomorrow :( with my ultra sound i was told to wait 7 days for the results i saw the results way before i managed to get a follow up call to discuss the actual results. So you've done the right thing booking like you have else youd be waiting weeks for something.

Daniki · 19/09/2024 21:52

@RRAEE I know, and this is exactly why my husband begged me not to test 🙈 oh well il never learn!
Oh no why you think it will start? 😩

Marie1990x · 19/09/2024 22:02

@Daniki this is it, it’s a lot of money and no guarantee of it working. I know a few people who have gone through it, some successful and some not! If it was a case of medication being an option I’d 100% do that private if needed.

I do think your lines look very promising though!!!

@RRAEE you never know! Have you taken a test or are you waiting it out?

Yeah my sister works for the NHS and said ultrasound results get posted literally straight away, almost instantly, so they shouldn’t fob me off saying they’re not ready. Although my ultrasound appt isnt even showing on my nhs app so not sure if I’ll be able to see the results on there?

RRAEE · 19/09/2024 22:19

I did a test and was negative but odd cramp here and there so think its coming.

@Marie1990x mine was in the letters part, check there.

Marie1990x · 21/09/2024 10:22

@RRAEE i had a look and still can’t see it. I’ll ask when I go. Not sure if it’s because the hospital have me under my maiden name still and my nhs account is in my married name, but it’s still the same nhs number so who knows!

how are you getting on? Has af shown or taken another test?

@Daniki how are you?

RRAEE · 21/09/2024 10:56

@Marie1990x maybe 🤔, mine showed up there so god knows lol

Still no AF and haven't done another test yet. Got a bit of a scratchy throat today 😅. Dunno whats happening but literally zero symptoms of it showing. I think i probs ovulated late this month or something.

Ill re test in the morning, i forgot this morning when i woke up as was so exhausted for a long week at work 😴

Daniki · 21/09/2024 16:35

@Marie1990x I'm ok, I switched tests to a diff brand on advice from someone and have got good lines out of it, which has calmed me down a bit. I wish I never tested early in the first place but il never learn 😂😩
