@HopefulH sorry to hear about your results. Im positive that I've read some hopeful stories about being able to improve that so I'm hoping you get some answers soon and can be given some hope.

Does anyone have any recommendations for pregnancy tests? I think I've weed on about £40 this cycle and I need to find a more cost efficient way of feeding my testing habit!

Rainbowsunshine81 · 07/06/2024 13:44

@lozzmax I got a big box off amazon, I think they're the at home easy Ones.

elarcoiris · 07/06/2024 16:48

@lozzmax I ordered a box of about 50 easy@home LH and pregnancy tests from Amazon, which I’m hoping will keep me going for a while!

Stupidly used one of them this morning at 8/9 dpo and was negative and now kicking myself for caving/driving myself a bit mad trying to work out whether it means anything. Gahhh.

lozzmax · 07/06/2024 16:51

@elarcoiris don't kick yourself. I did the same thing this week and got a positive which then was negative two days later - if I hadn't tested I wouldn't have known, and I wouldn't have booked my follow ups with my ivf clinic and Dr. S around why these chemicals keep happening to me. It's almost impossible to resist the temptation to test. I've never gotten a positive before 10DPO before this week, so I promise it doesn't mean anything that it was negative. Good luck for tomorrow 😘

Gizmo1983 · 07/06/2024 17:43

Hi everyone wow I’ve missed so much ❤️.
@lozzmax i got the 50 box of easy at home they have always been super accurate for me never had an issue but the last box I did have a few with indents but I could see them in the light before I even did the tests so just check to be safe xxx
hey @VenusStarr so glad your stye is getting better weirdly I’ve just got one myself today I haven’t had one in years they are soooo annoying. Have u got anything nice planned with hubby this weekend? If not you should try doing something new a new restaurant or a new place just something new to make some new memories and if nothing else will give u something neutral to chat about. Xxx ugh it’s been a right old roller coaster week for me. Granny is much more poorly she’s now in hospital about to be transferred to a specialist unit in another hospital so we are just hoping. We are super close and to be honest I haven’t been to the hospital to see her as I can’t bare it I’m also a little scared to go in before egg collection in case I pick any germs up 🤦‍♀️
definitely getting more tired and ovaries feel sorer the closer I get. Went for a scan today after the nightmare through the week. I have 3 good sized follicles and a tiny 4th don’t think that will be anything. I don’t know whether to be happy we have 3 or gutted we only have 3 I guess we will find out more at collection and then see how it goes. The dr said we hoped for more funny enough my amh is the same as yours so we were expecting better but just shows u never know do you. I heard him say my lining was 11mm I hope that’s ok he never said. I have another scan Monday and or an egg collection Wednesday. I’m still so pissed off about the botched meds, the dr said it wouldn’t make any difference but guess we will never know xxx at this stage I am pleased we have gone for the 3 cycle package plan was to pgta test but dr said if we only got one we wouldn’t bother so with 3 eggs we will be lucky to get one to transfer. I haven’t taken my hydroxy as we were pgta testing but maybe I should start in case. Aaarrrgghhh my head is scrambled xxx

elarcoiris · 09/06/2024 08:06

@lozzmax the tiniest of faint lines this morning, so you may have been right. Not entirely sure I trust it but it’s enough for me to keep going with the pred and cyclogest for now and I’ll test again tomorrow.

Keeping fingers crossed they can get to the bottom of the chemicals for you xx

lozzmax · 09/06/2024 16:58

@elarcoiris that's great news!!! Keep us updated. Sending lots of love ❤️❤️

VenusStarr · 09/06/2024 19:20

Keeping my fingers crossed for you @elarcoiris ❤️

How are you @lozzmax did you test again? I hope you're OK

@Rainbowsunshine81 what do you sell in your Esty shop? I've just started a Cross stich to keep me off my phone. Its quite a hard one and have definitely gone wrong a few times, but will carry on.

@Gizmo1983 I hope you are feeling OK, not long til egg collection 🙏 it's a strange time but just try to take each day as it comes ❤️ 11mm lining is fab! I have had lining issues in the past and cancelled transfer cycles but hopefully when the time comes, your lining will be ready for your embryo.

I had a check up with an optician on Friday, she doesn't think it was a stye, it's gone ulcer like now 😓 she said its really inflamed and wants me to go back to see her next week. Got some drops as well.
Had a nice weekend with dh, he's been more like his normal self so I hope that continues. We've decided to book a holiday abroad if we can for my birthday at the end of August 🥰 is going to see if we can do a spa break too.

Hope everyone has had a good weekend ❤️💕

@VenusStarr I sell some crystal jewellery, trinket dishes, dream catchers, earrings etc. That sounds good 😊 what pattern is it? I've starting reading another book to keep me going on my phone so much. Hope you're OK ❤️

VenusStarr · 10/06/2024 08:28

That's cool @Rainbowsunshine81 😊 keeping your hands busy definitely helps take your mind off things.
This is the cross stitch, feel like I've barely started as have only managed to do part of his ear!

@VenusStarr Thank you 😊 definitely does! Aww I love the pattern, he is cute! 🥰

Gizmo1983 · 11/06/2024 10:11

hi ladies so sorry I’ve been awol
@VenusStarr im so glad hubby is starting to be more normal that’s wonderful sometimes a bit of time is all it needs. I love your cross stitch it will be soo beautiful when you’ve finished hope the drops are working on your eye.
had my scan yesterday 3 follicles and a little one.
egg collection tomorrow he said I’m at high risk of early ovulation 10-15% 😬😬😬
I’d love some advice if I’m lucky enough to even get one blast do I bother pgt testing it or just put it back in it just seems like a ton of money to just test one. I’m even more divided as a few weeks ago my dr said we got just one we would just put it back in but yesterday he said he would still just test the one 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️
how is everyone love to all xxx

lozzmax · 11/06/2024 12:06

@Gizmo1983 I think what you need to weigh up is how you would feel knowing there is an abnormality pre-transfer versus an early loss. My view is that knowledge is power, so if you have the option to know that what you're putting in is a healthy embryo, you know that if it doesn't work out, it's not because of a chromosomal abnormality and that will give the consultant a bit more info for next time. But that's just where I am with my journey now, i want to know everything I can so that we stop having to go through these losses x

Gizmo1983 · 11/06/2024 14:50

Thank you so much @lozzmax thats a perspective I hadn’t thought of ☺️. How are you doing? Xxx

VenusStarr · 11/06/2024 22:16

Thank you @Gizmo1983 time and trying not to panic has definitely helped ❤️
Sending you lots of love for your collection. I think I'd probably opt for transfer. But we aren't looking to pgta test anyway and we've not had any chromosomal losses (that we know of). It is a lot to spend but if it gives you peace of mind. I know I'm not helping, sorry. Maybe see what happens after collection, take the progesterone as if you will transfer but you can always change your mind if you have more than 1 blast 🙏 xx

Hey @lozzmax and @VenusStarr thanks so much for the advice, luckily I didn’t ovulate and they got 4 eggs and hubbys sperm as usual is great. We are going to meds in case we do transfer if we only get one ( I’ll feel lucky to get even one) but if more we will pgta. Am still a bit woozy but that’s the plan ( I think ) lol xxx so not many eggs but the dr said we only need one xxx

VenusStarr · 12/06/2024 12:31

4 out of 4 follicles is great @Gizmo1983 🙌 hope you had a nice sleep. Rest up today and watch nice TV, eat snacks and sleep again! Keeping everything crossed for you xx ❤️

@Gizmo1983 Brilliant that they managed to get all four! Hope you’re feeling ok and can take it easy now while they do what they need to xx

Gizmo1983 · 12/06/2024 18:44

Hi @elarcoiris and @VenusStarr thank you so much m. I was so terrified of the sedation and the egg collection but it was awesome 😂😂😂. Just the dreaded waiting game now. Xxx

Jecca88 · 12/06/2024 18:57

Hey all,
Just found this thread and wanted to get involved if you will have me 🤞🏼
I am a patient at CRP clinic with Prof S since last June 2023. I had 3 miscarriages when I self referred and have been on his high NK protocol but since had two miscarriages whilst being on the treatment.
i am on the hydroxy and intralipids and aspirin aswell as the other vitamins.
prof s said he doesn’t want to give me pred due to it effecting mood and me being on a low dose sertraline. Any advice on next steps? Should I push for pred? I am currently waiting for genetic testing from my last miscarriage - which hoping should come back in 2 months.

thanks for reading and sending lots of love to all members ❤️

VenusStarr · 13/06/2024 08:29

Hi @Jecca88 welcome. I'm sorry about your losses on the protocol ❤️ I've had 2 losses with Dr S too. We were able to test one and she was chromosomally healthy, so I'm on gcsf as well as pred and hydroxy.
I recently was put on citalopram and I got intouch with the clinic and Dr S said that I can still take pred but 20mg and to monitor my mood. I'm not ttc at the moment so not on anything to give me a break and focus on my mental health. Interestingly my ivf clinic haven't got concerns about pred and my antidepressants, nor has the pharmacy.
I hope you are doing ok as you can be xx

Morning @Gizmo1983 the sleep is so nice isn't it? Keeping everything crossed for you for your update today 🙏 ❤️

Af is on her way.... I'm ok though. Hope everyone is good xx

lozzmax · 13/06/2024 08:43

Morning @Jecca88 and welcome to the thread. You sound in a similar position to me - I've had a MMC, a 6 week loss and two chemicals since being on the protocol and he's been reluctant about putting me on pred for the exact same reason - I'm on 20mg of citalopram. I had two miscarriages before I had my daughter and I seemed to be able to carry her on the same treatment plan as you're on now, but it's not working post partum. I had an appointment with him this Monday and he suggested Tacrolimus, but it would have required twice weekly blood tests and I just don't have time to be going to and from Epsom that frequently. I pushed for the pred and he said that as long as my GP was happy, he would be ok - my GP was supportive and has actually prescribed it to me which saves me a bit of money! It feels like pred is my last hope before I try ivf to start investigating embryo quality (even though Dr. S is very against it). I'm sorry for your losses and that you're going through this hell with the rest of us 😘

lozzmax · 13/06/2024 08:46

PS. Should have said I'm also on GCSF but that doesn't seem to have been enough. I'm also just getting bloods done now to see whether I need to redo the Adalimumab.

Glad you enjoyed the sleep @Gizmo1983 - I bloody love being sedated/anaesthetised! Good luck for results today.

@VenusStarr hope you're ok. What are your next steps? xx

Jecca88 · 13/06/2024 09:47

Ahh thank you so much for your responses.

@VenusStarr im sorry for your losses too and thanks for sharing your story :( - How is the GCSF? it's an expensive option and hope I can try Pred before we go to that. Dr S has always been so against IVF too - can i ask if the two losses with Dr S were natural or IVF? Sounds like a good idea having a break for the summer :)

My 4th Loss was triplets (Natural) and they said the risk of miscarriage is so much higher - so it was an isolated incident outside of protocol. My 5th Loss (happened last week) I am hoping it was a chromosomal abnormality as it was an empty sac - just gonna wait on results.

@lozzmax I am so sorry - you have had four losses since being on the treatment. So you had a successful pregnancy with Dr S? super frustrating its not working again for you :( Thanks for the advice about the GP - Maybe i will try and get a note before my next consultation with him.
Twice weekly bloods is a lot - luckily we are only 40 mins from Epsom - but that would be a lot for me.

Did either of you go for Sperm DNA Frag test? My husband just had his and awaiting results.

x

lozzmax · 13/06/2024 09:51

@Jecca88 yes we had that test a while ago and it was all clear. My MMC in November was natural twins - one of them didn't develop in the sac and the other one stopped growing at 6w3d - he said at the time it was likely that it was just a complication caused by a multiple pregnancy as chromosonally everything was normal. The issue I seem to have had since is not getting beyond the first 5/6 weeks. The GCSF is sooo expensive (but he was trying to avoid the steroids for me), plus intralipids, plus blood tests, plus consultations, plus D&C, hysteroscopy etc... we've probably spent £20k so far trying to have a second child.

Did your triplets develop to foetuses with heartbeats?
