@Onthedouble123 meant to say, are you sure it's deffo your peak and not a primary lesser peak? When I've tested with OPKS I've discovered my LH seems to go up, down, then up even higher for the real peak

Onthedouble123 · 14/05/2024 20:01

Oh, fingers crossed that might be the case @RaisingCornishWildlings it came up as 1.19 on the app though so that seems quite high?
We've DTD tonight and I'll set my alarm early in the morning to try and sneak in before ovulation or the egg at least still be viable if I already have.
I feel like it's a numbers game though so would like to have a couple more days of swimmers waiting for the egg!
2 people in my wider circles (but actually not more than acquaintances to me) have announced recently and it's really hit me hard 😞
Reeaally hoping our current/next cycles depending where everyone is are good ones for all of us! Xx

DonnaWhat · 14/05/2024 20:20

@Ella31 I think I'm out this month, the way my body was, I really have no hope. We can spur each other on for the next cycle.

@RaisingCornishWildlings I hope these signs are all positive for you. I have everything crossed for you.

Ladyinpink1 · 14/05/2024 22:17

@Ella31 cd2 for me, I also think we have been dtd too much too early then when actual ovulation time comes we've kind of had enough. x

@Onthedouble123 that's a great plan that you have and I have heard countless stories of couples who fell pregnant that cycle just before because the pressure was off. x

@MisssMarion I also have these fears, especially after a bfn, I think that one line on a test brings out all sorts of anxious feelings, I am always relived when af arrives as it feels like a fresh start x

It's funny you said that about af coming because yeah I'm the same. I'm cd3 and I'm happier than I was all last month. Bizarre.

@Ella31 Yes I think there's no pressure because there is nothing you can do at this early stage but also there's new hope at a new cycle beginning.
This is now cycle 10 since my last loss, I'm giving up being more relaxed because it didnt work and so going back to tracking bbt and apps etc with the opks so I can be certain when exactly I ovulate and i'm also eating better and taking maca first half, and some dark chocolate and pineapple lol, hoping something out of it all works!
Will you try anything different or weird and wonderful this cycle? x

MisssMarion · 15/05/2024 14:14

@Ladyinpink1 @Ella31 I think the TWW is the worst time in the cycle cause there's nothing you can do at that point, it's out of your control and you're just waiting to know if it worked. The beginning of the cycle means you get another chance, it's back in your hands again and you're in charge. That's comforting. At least that's the way I see it. I can't wait for AF now to get back at it!

Btw, is anybody using the Clearblue fertility monitor? It's definitely pricey but when I bought it I thought whatever would get me pregnant was worth the money. I got pregnant the first month the first time I used it (my dd) and the second month the second time (MMC). I'm back using it again now. It will show a peak at the same time as OPK but what's great is that it will also tell you what your fertile window is, so you don't exhaust yourself with dtd every day early in your cycle when you ovulate yet. I hope it works out this time around too...

KittyFantastica · 15/05/2024 15:07

I used one and fell pregnant first time both times I used it. Sadly both were losses (one chemical, one MMC at 10 weeks). I'm not tracking this month, just relaxing it and going with the flow a bit while I try and get over the MMC, but I'll definitely be buying more sticks for next month.

KittyFantastica · 15/05/2024 15:07

Oops, meant to tag @MisssMarion!

RaisingCornishWildlings · 15/05/2024 15:59

Keep me strong everyone! I am trying to convince myself I really am not PG but feel like I'm likely to cave in the morning and POAS!! Just been to the loo and had yellow tinged snotty looking CM when I wiped, trying not to read too much into anything as over the last few cycles I've sometimes had heavier cm a few days before AF. Still feeing on-and-off nauseous, and feeling tired but think that's just progesterone before AF rather than anything else!

Ella31 · 15/05/2024 16:01

@Ncl31 how are you today? Any luck

Keep going @RaisingCornishWildlings today you can hope but if you test and it's too early, it will effect your day. Hold strong. You have this xxx

I haven't used it. Would you recommend?

OP posts:
Onthedouble123 · 15/05/2024 16:39

@RaisingCornishWildlings are you 10dpo now? It's a tricky time as possible you would show a positive but still early such that a negative might not mean anything other than it's too soon!
I say wait a bit longer if you possibly can!!! Xx

MisssMarion · 15/05/2024 16:47

@Ella31 I would definitely recommend it although like I said it's pricey. I don't want to make you spend more money than you should...

It depends if you feel it will give you more information than OPK. This month was the first I used both and I'm glad I had the monitor because it told me my fertile window started on CD12 so we knew when to get started and no need to stress before that. It said my peak was on CD17 (and CD18). With the OPK I didn't see a real rise in LH until the peak (CD17) so that would have been a surprise...

Then it tells you when to start testing for pregnancy (3 days before AF is due) and you can test using the monitor, and also it gives you a countdown of when AF is due (I'll tell you tomorrow if it was right).

Like I said I got pregnant the first month and then the second month of using it so I'm happy so far (if it wasn't for the MMC and having to use it once again). Now is my third time so let's see...

Yes that's right, 10DPO today; according to Flo: I'm still questioning whether I even ovulated though!

All my other symptoms could be put down to incoming AF. But Saturday afternoon I had a random and short lived period ish cramp- possibly implantation?

Onthedouble123 · 15/05/2024 19:26

@RaisingCornishWildlings certainly sounds like there's reason to be (cautiously) hopeful! Will keep everything crossed for you. 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

My OPKs dropped right back down today so thinking that definitely was an early peak for some reason (just to keep me guessing because this isn't hard enough 🙄)

Gutted because we normally start at the beginning of the window but thought we were being smart this week and shaving a couple of the first days off to save our best for the peak days. We did manage it yesterday evening and this morning. Peak was earlier in the day but hoping I didn't ovulate until today some time today🤞🏻 Going to very much try not to get my hopes up this month though as it'll be v.lucky if we did catch it. Xx

I haven’t actually tested today. I’m convinced I’m out so I’m just awaiting AF. Premom predicts tomorrow. If she doesn’t arrive tomorrow then I’ll test again on Friday. Not looking too much into the bbt coming back up slightly. But here is my chart.

You have a good luteal phase though. You never know. What's your lh normally. Plus that's a great come back for your bbt.

BBT back down today plus I’ve been awake on and off for 2 hours with what feels like AF cramps. I wish she would just appear, then I can get on with it.

RaisingCornishWildlings · 16/05/2024 06:30

Well; that saves me a test. Woken up to AF- two days earlier than expected!

Onthedouble123 · 16/05/2024 07:01

@RaisingCornishWildlings that's rubbish 😞 I'm sorry. Xx

RaisingCornishWildlings · 16/05/2024 07:03

Thanks @Onthedouble123 I don't know why I'm so surprised and disappointed. From the off I always counted myself out this month! TTC is a cruel cruel game 💔
