S9 far I've blamed changing the clocks, springtime and cutting back sugar for AF this month...completely reinforcing my belief I should hibernate/choose my own time/ eat all the chocolate!

Just did a CB advanced one. Blank circle - expected as with every use after a 48hr break you always get a blank face.

However - erm, look how dark it is.

I think it’s normal to have an LH surge pre AF isn’t it?? But this measures oestrogen and LH. Am I getting my hopes crazy high?!

I last did an OPK on the 7th April at 4dpo due to the CM and the line was MUCH lighter. This one today is almost like I get at peak?!

Interesting. I use those same sticks but haven't tried at this cycle point so don't know what variations are typical. Neither oestrogen or LH particularly surge right at the end of a non-conception cycle.

Look at the hormone fluctuations compared on this graph, standard vs conception.

Get a test tomorrow if the witch hasn't shown her face!

Thanks @sirensong annoyed at myself for using my FRER at 9DPO now 😤. Just ordered more. Won’t arrive t’il late tomorrow though so will get a supermarket one in the AM. What ones are good at early detection?!

I only know that people seem to rate First Response or the Boots early detection ones, unsure about any supermarket own brand ones. At the risk of enabling an expensive habit (I've now done two orders this month 😬), Deliveroo etc deliver from Boots and supermarkets if you're in range of any.

I have no idea about OPKs, but really hope it works out for you xx

Ooh I'm pretty sure I've done an LH and it's always been super light and then AF has come. This is exciting!!!!

Oh guys I feel like getting my hopes up again. Period due tomorrow and normally would have spotting for a day and then a light flow /cm day before full period. I had a teeny spotting yesterday and now totally dry. I'm nauseous, stuffy nose and last night had horrific night sweats.

I feel like I'm going mad. I had negative test at 11dpo.

Clearly I didn’t ovulate when I got my static smiley on OPK this month. Gutted as didn’t really keep DTD much either.

Now no idea where I am in cycle or if I even ovulated at all!

Does this mean you definitely didn't previously ovulate though? Do another OPK today maybe to get a better sense of things.

@sirensong I’m not sure. To be honest when I got my peak / static OPK I was shocked as although the date aligned to usual cycles I didn’t have any symptoms. The EWCM started 3-4 days after so I’m wondering if I in fact “laid an egg” (as I now call it 🐓) a week or even longer after positive opk.

Ive read of people getting a positive opk where their body gears up to ovulate but fails for whatever reason then has another attempt later.

The most EWCM I had was Friday just gone though which would be CD23! The latest iv ov’d / laid an egg 🤭🫣 in years is CD19

@ToeBeans24 I've forgotten - do you usually have regular periods? Maybe you need to use an OPK every day next cycle and then follow up with a progesterone test.

@sirensong yep usually v regular. Was 2 days out in March as it was the cycle following my CP.

Looking at my logged symptoms if I did ov late I could only be 7dpo (not 16). All fun and games !

I take antihistamines very regularly and during my ovulation time I had doubled my doses because I was cat sitting for a friend (which I’m very allergic to). But as with any anti-histamine, it dries you up down there.

me and my partner dtd a lot around ovulation time but I’m worried if all that is futile without proper cm?

@Plumchumm I had no idea it had that impact! Surely not enough to entirely wipe out chances or there would be warnings? I've definitely read on here that some people conceived without ever having EWCM, or very little.
