@Supertrooper101 of course you're questioning everything, I'd say your head is all over the place! 🀯 I've been on the progesterone for almost 2 weeks now and haven't really got that nauseous (except when brushing my teeth 🀒) so hopefully it's a "normal" symptom for you 🀞xx

Just exchanged it for a weeks indicator one which I'll do tomorrow morning. I'm super proud of myself and didn't buy anymore line tests. I think my test line is almost as dark as control one now so there's no point making myself more anxious. My gp is amazing. Just called and got bloods appointment for 12pm tomorrow. I think the system here is very similar to the UK I'm just lucky that I found a good one πŸ™Œ

@Supertrooper101 how many weeks are you now? Totally understandable how you feel!! I agree with the no messing approach it's the worst just watching their face waiting xx

@Hankthehonk I'm thinking the same surly with that high of a reading ovulation had to happen hopefully I caught it in time. What will be will be xx

@Sez281 well done you!! Now you have your dark line are you going to leave the tests alone? Are you getting a reassurance scan (I crnt remeber) xx

Westy22 · 31/01/2024 11:02

Morning,

Haven't tested this morning @Hankthehonk as I have no more tests lol I'm going to buy some today tho, although I've had a temp dip again today so I'm not hopeful, tried to convince myself that it's because I was awake for atleast 30 mins thinking it was only like 2am so didn't temp straight away. So that's two dips one at 5dpo and 9dpo now according to my app. Boobs don't feel as sensitive today but my digestive system still isn't right so hormones are messing that up.

Thank you @xxcxdonxx

Glad you got it sorted @Jadeypie now the TWW commences for you 🀞🀞 it's dragging out so much for me lol

Can't wait to hear how the OH takes it @Sez281 , I always think how would I do it with my OH this time round but I don't he'd react tbh out of caution πŸ™ˆ he'd be super nervous. The first time round was so funny because I was shell shocked tbh he got in from work and I was like "I need to tell you something" I swear to god he thought I was about to tell him I'd either cheated or was in Β£200k worth of debt judging by his face 🀣🀣🀣 there was no crying or hugs just pure shock πŸ™ˆ

Good luck tomorrow @Supertrooper101 hoping it goes well for you xx

Paws4thought · 31/01/2024 11:19

@Sez281 sounds like the headache is a good sign, can't wait to hear how your OH takes it. I don't really have any symptoms, my boobs are a little achey but that's prob cause I keep checking them πŸ˜‚ and I'm tired but been up early all week. I did a test yesterday for reassurance and there was a nice dark line, going to try to book a scan for when I'm 6 weeks 3 days and hope its not too early to see heartbeat. Will you book any scans?
@Jadeypie ah I'm glad you managed to dtd, onto the tww, hopefully it'll go quickly.
@Westy22 when are you due af? Keeping everything crossed for you.
@Supertrooper101 I hope they can give you a straight answer tomorrow not leave you in limbo, what time is your scan?

Jadeypie · 31/01/2024 12:08

@Paws4thought I crnt believe I'm in the tww officially hahahah x

Supertrooper101 · 31/01/2024 14:23

@Sez281 what are you dpo now then for your bloods tomorrow thrn. Am getting confused at everyones timeframes and where were all at 🀣.
Scans at 9am ish tomorrow. Made sure to book it early!
@Westy22 does a dodgy digestive system mean constipation πŸ€” lol ... i didnt know hormones played a role in that too lol
@Jadeypie oooo wonder how your appointment went !

Westy22 · 31/01/2024 14:31

Haha yes @Supertrooper101 I have coeliac disease so know my bowels very well and I never get constipated, my first pregnancy the week up to finding out I was constipated and blamed it on some healthy gut vitamins so stopped taking them 🀣 I've been constipated for a few days now and not regular at all 😫 apparently it's common as the hormones slow everything down.

Tested again before..stupidly as it was the 3rd wee of the day lol there's a squint of something but I've told myself I'm testing way too early so need to wait a few days x

I'm due on the 5/6th Feb according to my apps, my last 2 cycles have got slightly longer, used to be 27 days but I'm at 30/32 now πŸ™ƒ I'm cd26 so anytime in next few days @Paws4thought x how many weeks are you now? Xx

Paws4thought · 31/01/2024 14:36

@Westy22 you've got plenty of time to get a positive then and if there was a squinter 3rd wee of the day fmu might give you a better idea in a couple of days. I'm 4 weeks 4 days so a long way to go.
@Jadeypie what was your appt for today? Sorry can't remember.
@Supertrooper101 early scan is good, saves thinking about it all day :)

Sez281 · 31/01/2024 14:42

@Jadeypie yay for the first TWW in ages! πŸ™Œ I'm not going to do anymore boots tests but have some easy@homes that I want to see go proper dark first so I'll do them once a day for a few more 🀞

@Paws4thought I'm thinking of booking early scan for 6+3 too if I get that far πŸ™ unless my consultant wants to do it earlier but o don't really want to unless anything wrong with bloods etc, I'd like to hopefully hear heartbeat at first one πŸ™

@Westy22 Oh wow the whispers of lines and symptoms sounds like it may possibly be the start of something! Crossing everything for you xx

@Supertrooper101 I'm only cd27 (13/14 dpo so it's still ridiculously early πŸ™ˆ. I have to take comfort in the strong lines & symptoms for now and then wait to see what happens with bloods πŸ™ That's great that you have an early appointment in the morning. Keeping everything crossed for you πŸ’–πŸ€žxx

@Hankthehonk I forgot to ask how you are doing? Are you on the wind down from work now? X

OP posts:
SnookyPook · 31/01/2024 14:43

@Westy22 oh that's tantalising! Everything crossed!

@Supertrooper101 glad you've got a nice early appointment tomorrow! Nothing worse than having to hang around for hours. Really hope it gives you clarity and hopefully good news 🀞🏻

@Sez281 aw your way of announcing sounds perfect! Hope it goes well πŸ₯°

@Jadeypie hope all has gone well with your appointment.

@Paws4thought hope you're doing ok!

Well.. I've made it to 12wks! Can't quite believe it! It's really feeling a lot more real all of a sudden. I think I'm daring to believe it at last!

xxcxdonxx · 31/01/2024 15:31

@Westy22 ooooh that is exciting, a few more days and hopefully you can be certain.

Aww great news @SnookyPook , the first 12 weeks is such a long wait so a huge milestone to reach.

I’m going to be rattling around here myself soon the way this is going! Not sure what to do for best if I should just start this low dose aspirin. I know it’s not good to be on it long term but in the absence of someone telling me otherwise, I am tempted.
We are due to go on holiday in a few week, my oh thinks we should take a break this month and just enjoy being away but I just don’t know if I can, every month feels so precious.

Hankthehonk · 31/01/2024 15:43

@Sez281 I'm doing ok thanks, really knackered and totally checked out from work but literally one day to go now. I am managing to tie things up quite neatly and don't feel too stressed, last time when I went off for mat leave I was stressed and overworking to the last minute but feel I've been able to be much better organised this time. Might be to do with time of year, haven't had time to get pulled into too much after the festive break.

@SnookyPook Congrats on reaching this huge milestone, I vividly remember the relief of our 12 week scan so really hope you're enjoying that feeling as well. Have you started to tell people "in real life" yet?

@xxcxdonxx there's so much luck in the air in this new 2024 thread, you will catch some of it as well I'm sure of it!
How are you feeling, it's been such a rollercoaster few weeks for you?
I totally relate to that feeling of not wanting to waste a month. I think it's not worth the regret - I wish it was easier to take the pressure off but we all know that's pretty much impossible. Men mean well when they say these things but not sure they can ever understand how all consuming it is for us.

@Westy22 I still want to see these tests πŸ˜‚ feeling so hopeful for you!

Jadeypie · 31/01/2024 15:49

My appointment went well. I have pcos even tho my last scan was all fine. previous scans and blood work shows that I definitely have it and have had it since I was a teenager which the Dr at the time just through me on the pill. Anyway I've got a loads of blood tests getting done in his words a full mot. He's referred me to the gynaecologist the check me out properly because of some symtoms regarding pains. I've been put on metformin to help with fertilty and regulate my cycles and a follow up in four months to see how I'm getting on. Now I'm go a go down the rabbit hole on google with the metformin because I didn't ask if I start taking it now with me being in the tww or wait till af starts xx

Westy22 · 31/01/2024 15:51

Haha! @Hankthehonk I'm not uploading them there bad like...I've give myself a headache eye straining so much 🀣🀣 if I get better ones I will tho 🀣 glad your feeling calm, I bet its great leaving work knowing your not going back for months, I keep joking saying I'm aiming for Christmas off (I work in retail) I need to get my arse into gear before the deadline for that passes 🀣

Hankthehonk · 31/01/2024 16:00

@Jadeypie I'm really pleased you have this clarity and sounds like you're getting good care and support from this doctor.
I also have PCOS that wasn't diagnosed until we were trying to ttc for our first, after being stuck on the pill as a teenager and staying on it for 16 years. Such a common story unfortunately. After I came off the pill I didn't ovulate at all for 11 months - investigations after 6 months of zero ovulation resulted in PCOS diagnosis
I haven't ever been on metformin so sorry I can't help with that but I'm sure you'll find some experienced folk on MN. What I can say is that I've had some success managing PCOS and regulating my cycle through exercise and diet.
I didn't really exercise regularly before, but once I got into a healthy exercise routine and cut down alcohol, ate recommended diet for PCOS sufferers, I started ovulating with fairly regular, though long, cycles. I know that doesn't work for everyone but it did for me and might be worth a try (there's no downside really!)

@Westy22 Fair enough, I'm getting overexcited for you - and I do love a line eyes challenge!

xxcxdonxx · 31/01/2024 16:26

Thanks @Hankthehonk , I hope so. I’m just a bit lost right now, knowing I can get pregnant and not hold onto it is hard for me to get my head round when I don’t know how to fix it.
I know I’ll not take the month off, in theory it’s a good idea but I would regret it and convince myself I’d missed my month.

Hope that you have a nice and relaxed day tomorrow, such a nice feeling knowing you are finishing up.

@Jadeypie glad to hear that your appointment went well and sounds like you are on the right track with your bloods and future appointments. Who knows, you may not need them!

Jadeypie · 31/01/2024 16:47

@Hankthehonk yeh I've been a serious yo yo dieter. I've noticed when I'm at my fittest it does help symptoms that's why I went on a health kick before Xmas managed to lose some weight and I've maintained it since but back to it now get some more off. I conceived my son when I was fit and healthy after 4 years trying so looks like I no what I need to do and with the metformin too will help. Xx

Jadeypie · 31/01/2024 16:48

@xxcxdonxx well hopefully that's the case hahsh xx

Jadeypie · 31/01/2024 16:48

@SnookyPook lovely to hear you've made such a milestone and you are starting to believe it xx

Paws4thought · 31/01/2024 19:52

@Sez281 yeah I wanted to go as early as possible but really hoping they don't have to rescan cause its too early. Have you told your oh now?
@xxcxdonxx I know what you mean about skipping months, it just adds more doubt and anxiety. Could you try the Tommy's midwife, think someone spoke to them not long ago and see if they can advise on aspirin?
@Jadeypie that's good that they've diagnosed you so you know what you're dealing with, hopefully you won't have to worry fir the next 9 months. What does metformin do?
@Westy22 think you should let us check them for you, save straining your eyes πŸ˜‚
@SnookyPook so pleased for you, hopefully all following in your footsteps soon!

SnookyPook · 31/01/2024 19:55

@Paws4thought indeed! Really hoping so! πŸ™πŸΌπŸŒˆ xx

Westy22 · 31/01/2024 20:00

Okay....judge me lol @Paws4thought @Hankthehonk the dpos are wrong tho its 8dpo bottom and other two are today at 9dpo. I know it's so early and I'm really setting myself up for dissapointment lol

TTC May 2023 πŸ’– Previous MC March 2023 (thread 3)
Hankthehonk · 31/01/2024 20:08

@Westy22 I can totally see lines in the top one and the inverted one in the middle! So those are actually both 9dpo today, midday and eve?
Can't wait to see what you get with fmu and smu tomorrow, I think this looks hopeful πŸ™
Ps thank you for indulging us

Paws4thought · 31/01/2024 20:09

@Westy22 I agree with @Hankthehonk can see the hint of a line in top and middle 🀞🀞
