Thought I’d make a new thread for those of us Ttc in February 2024. I know some of us will cross over from end of Jan to Feb! Wishing everyone all the luck ✨❤️

@ButterflySkies Oh no ! Hope you feel better soon ! Both partner and i caught horrendous sore throat and cough, i had it first and he caught it after so only managed to DTD day after my peak OPK so feel out this month aswell 🫠

Czzpop · 21/01/2024 11:57

Hey, been lurking for some time and would love to join.
Trying for no.2 and currently on CD2, had a loss in June 2023 at 11 weeks and since then nothing. Feeling very deflated and hopeless atm. Praying we all get our positives this month!!

ninnypoo · 21/01/2024 12:19

Hi all,
We are starting to TTC #1 after getting married in December. I'm turning 30 in May and conscious of my body clock!

I've been using NC for a year or so to track my periods and temperature to try and understand my body a bit better but haven't fully got to grips with reliably pinpointing ovulation.

I was due to ovulate Friday and we DTD Friday evening (DH away Thursday with work) however this morning NC confirmed ovulation Thursday based on temp so I'm assuming we've missed the boat this month. Better to know now than after 2 weeks I guess! But will still have a sliver of optimism... sending you all positive vibes!

17nic · 21/01/2024 12:31

Jumping on here too! Best wishes to everyone 💫 we are on cycle 12 and starting fertility tests this month after no hint of a bfp over the last year. Desperately hoping this is our month ttc number 1🙈

AccountingMummy · 21/01/2024 12:52

Hi all!! We're hoping for a February bfp as well. TTC for baby #1, first cycle trying. I came off the implant in September and started trying to understand my cycle last month with OPKs and never caught my ovulation. This cycle I'm CD18, finally had a peak static smiley on clear blue yesterday morning after 9 days flashing and a positive OPK on CD16 nighttime. Thinking I ovulated yesterday after some symptoms in the evening. We have DTD everyday for the past 9 days so fingers crossed 🤞 so happy either way to have hopefully identified ovulation so next month if this month isn't successful we will have a better idea of when to start DTD so we don't burn out,

Hopefully this is the month ladies!

babycandy · 21/01/2024 14:29

We have had a DTD-athon this weekend. This better do the trick because I can hardly walk 😂

WonderingAboutBabies · 21/01/2024 18:03

We DTD for the first time this weekend without protection... felt so strange knowing we are now actively TTC! Already symptom spotting but I'm on CD20 so probably already missed ovulation... this is going to be an agonising journey 🤣🤣

This week is the gift that keeps giving... got a call from my GP to talk about full bloods i had done last week (not fertility related issue but she did my hormone levels). Letting me know the good news my results were fine but that there was HcG in my results - i mentioned we were TTC. Had to shut her down and tell her about AF! On the plus she said she'll see me in two - three cycles if no joy.

For those interested - she recommended folic acid, co q10, vit d and pre-seed, plus general healthy lifestyle, diet and good sleep. Said balance was key to keep stress levels low, my prolactin was marginally up but nothing to write home about (but im posting it on mumsnet :))

X

Thanks so much for sharing her advice! I’ve picked up some co q10. Fingers crossed 🤞 February is successful for us all! My cycle is currently all over the place and I’ve no idea why. So I can’t seem to pin point ovulation, even with opk. I’m now on CD 23, and not had one positive opk 😢 I may need to see my GP sooner rather than later!

ButterflySkies · 21/01/2024 21:38

Welcome everyone and sending baby dust to all. Good news after a day dozing on the sofa I feel more human! Going to ask to wfh this week and hope my boss isnt a kn0b about it. If i don't get over this lurgy properly I'm don't think I'm going to functioning properly anytime soon, let alone making a baby.

@LillieAsh you're welcome! Oh bless you! My hubby's been keen on ovulation sticks for a while but I've said no before this month as I have friends who have said they aren't an exact science, so please dont stress too much, and I don't want another thing to obsess over... It's a minefield isn't it, I find everything that's meant to help adds another layer of complexity.

@babycandy that tickled me - got my fingers crossed for you. Keep busy and keep us posted
xx

👋 hi
Ttc for first time this month but got my period today😪. Would love to hear from other girls in same boat. X

dancingqueen345 · 22/01/2024 10:58

Hi all, I've been using OPKs for the last few days, it's my first time using them, and I know the answer to this isn't straightforward, but do these results look about what I should expect given where I am in my cycle?

TTC February 2024 ✨
piechipsgravy · 22/01/2024 11:44

Has anyone experienced mild period like cramps for a few days after ovulation? I had strong ovulation pains on my left side on Thursday morning but Saturday, Sunday and today have had more general cramps that feel period-y. Not sure if it's because we are actually TTC so I'm hyper aware or if it means anything.

PinkFlamingo888 · 22/01/2024 11:50

@piechipsgravy I wasn’t testing ovulation last month and had this a few days after when I thought I should have ovulated. I assumed I’d just ovulated later than I expected, however, I’m testing ovulation this month and my app seems bang on so far so I’m really not sure what that was. I always this I get ovulation cramps but I’m wondering if there’s some other cramping that comes a few days later?

ButterflySkies · 22/01/2024 15:19

@GoldenArrow here you go, im sorry you're coming across to here but lovely to have you 🩷🩷🩷

GoldenArrow · 22/01/2024 15:49

Thanks @ButterflySkies 🩷 xxx

This AF is like no other. I have endo and I think it being late has made things worse. Vomited 8 times, had really bad diarrhea, excruciating pain to the point I actually considered calling someone. Thankfully it seems the worst of it has passed and I'm tucked up in bed now after a long sleep.

Hope you ladies are all doing OK 🩷 here's to Feb being our month!

RW269 · 22/01/2024 18:28

Anyone else getting a bit obsessive with things? Think my husbands sick of me looking at dates and obsessing about what days we need to make sure we don’t miss doing things 😂 at this rate I’m just debating dtd every day of the month to not miss anything haha

OP posts:
ButterflySkies · 22/01/2024 18:41

@GoldenArrow sounds horrific love - glad you're in bed. Stay cosy tomorrow if you can? Hope it passes soon 🤞🏽

@RW269 yes 😂 im going for every other day from today for the next three weeks and daily if/when get a peak ovulation test... so chilled about this month 😂 x

Fingerscrossed88 · 22/01/2024 19:02

What CD is everyone on? I'm CD 11 with 33 legth cycles... just getting impatient 😁

RW269 · 22/01/2024 19:20

@ButterflySkies love that 😂 we’re going to need extra energy supplements hah!
@Fingerscrossed88 I’m cd8 and sooo impatient haha

OP posts:
Mrshaitchxo · 22/01/2024 19:23

@RW269 i’m the same! I don’t find that I’m too obsessive with the timings before ovulation but the obsessive analysing of everything during the TWW is my downfall. Constantly on every forum looking for glimmers of hope, trying not to POAS every day 😅

@Fingerscrossed88 im currently CD 5! So not too far behind you. Also feeling impatient😂

I’m unsure what my cycle length will be this month as taking my conception vitamins seems to have messed with my cycle?! Has anyone else experienced this? I would always be regular 28/29 days but I started my vitamins and started seeing shorter, 26 day cycles, with only a 11 day luteal phase. Stopped taking them and my last cycle was 35 days & 14 day LP. So confusing!

also, is anybody else sick of spending money on OPKs, lubes and pregnancy tests? I’m skint ha!! Kind of annoys me that some people can use an app to predict their ovulation and get pregnant instantly😅

RW269 · 22/01/2024 19:30

I’ve not ventured into the OPK sticks….yet 😂 I’m thinking maybe that’s the way to go next month if February isn’t my month !
100% with you on the test front, spent so much last month this month I vowed to not take a test until the day I’m due on but I know that’s all rubbish and there I will be 5 days before peeing on a stick once again 😂

Hi everyone,
I'm 38 (39 in April)
Starting again as had a missed miscarriage last week.
Feeling so desperate to conceive again ASAP! This will be #2.
It took quite a while to conceive the recent pregnancy so really hoping it doesn't take as long (or happens at all 😬).
Good luck everyone!!
🌈

elarcoiris · 22/01/2024 20:20

@Mrshaitchxo I’m currently in the obsessively analysing TWW period, so know exactly what you mean!

Had taken a few months off after a loss at 11 weeks in August, and as much as I desperately want this to be our month, I kind of miss the relative carefree-ness of the last couple of months.

Racket81 · 22/01/2024 20:29

11dpo today sore nipples heavy boobs and feeling breathless today which is weird. Could still be oms symptoms though. Not tested gonna wait another 3 days see if AF turns up. I hope it doesn't we really want this after a miscarraige in July and I'm 42.
