@Racket81 oh I am so pleased to hear that what a beautiful healthy photo ! 😍 what good news to hear!
I had my scan last Thursday, was 12.5 weeks then and baby was measuring beautifully and we got to see it’s little arms and legs having a little dance during the scan which was beautiful! 🥰 Had the tests done for the Edward’s etc last Thursday so just really hoping to get past this Thursday with no phone call with any bad news 🤞🤞

Aww thata great news @RW269. My partner thinks he/she is putting music headphones on I said no its covering its ears so can't hear tou playing guitar. I can't actually believe I had a baby moving around inside me it just feels so much more real now. Yes hopefully seeing as my body was good enough to eliminate my eggs that were bad thY thus time now I have a heartbeat and a correctly measuring baby that my body recognised its a good egg. Well thats the way my possativity is flowing anyway so hoping for no bad news from my 12 week.s an next week. How are you feeling now anyway.? I've not had any sickness but I can't eat huge meals.in evening ad it makes me feel rough and I look huge like fat huge. Considering I was a 14/16 anyway I look like a big lump. Lookimg forward to my tummy rounding out to a obvious bump instead. . Hope rest of you ladies are well.. xxx

RW269 · 25/02/2025 10:49

@Racket81 Awwh haha! It’s so surreal isn’t it! I bet your little baby will have grown loads by Mondays scan even though it’s just been a short while!
I feel you with the bump it currently looks like I’ve ate 2 Christmas dinners 😂
just had my results for the 12 weeks tests, all okay on the Edward’s/plato/downs but shown slight risk for Low Patt-A. I’ve not really heard about this before to be honest! Going to have lots of monitoring after 20 weeks as it can effect baby growth. So that’s a little upsetting but I’m going to try keep my positive vibes going and hope it’ll all be okay! Xx

Hi everyone, hope you're all doing well.

I wanted to wait to update as everything has just been so very stressful and there's been so much going on in our lives that it's just been a case of survival mode the last few months.

We had our dating scan yesterday, and everything looked wonderful. We also saw a specialist in London yesterday to try and get a plan together as our own hospital have been shocking. We're seeing him again in 2 weeks and hoping everything stays okay in the meantime.

I think of you all often, and hope all is going well.

RW269 · 13/03/2025 14:13

@KittyFantastica oh my goodness me, that is so so lovely to hear I’m keeping absolutely everything in the world crossed for you! 🤞 that’s nice you’ve got a specialist you’re able to see separately from your hospital if they’re not being very good! Be worth it if they’re able to give you the help and support needed. Sending all the love!

Racket81 · 14/03/2025 09:29

@RW269 sorry been lots happening but yes 12 week scan was all OK and also low risk for all the downs Edwards etc. I'm high risk for everything else with b m I and age so lots of appointments. Got one today at 2. Glad all goo with you and you too @KittyFantastica sounds like you have a good plan of action. Xx

RW269 · 10/04/2025 13:37

KittyFantastica · 10/04/2025 20:10

Hey both, I’m 17 weeks tomorrow. Glad to see you’re both doing well.

Sadly, things are going down hill for us. I’m my last pregnancy with George, I started to experience intermittent contractions and pain from 16 weeks with no apparent cause, and the same thing is happening again.

On Saturday, I had to be triaged with suspected Labour, though they were able determine my cervix was closed and nothing progressed. I’ve been having Braxton hicks with varied pain levels ever since. My own consultant told me they would not do anything and to go home and wait to go into labour.

We managed to get to see the specialist we were referred to in London for preterm birth and they were also stumped. They listened much better and were a little more proactive though, so they prescribed second line antibiotics as my back pain, cramping, abdominal tenderness and uterine irritability can all be symptoms of an undiscovered UTI. I’ve been tested and swabbed so many times and they never find any sign of infection, but they did determine from an ultrasound that I have hydronephrosis in my right kidney. They won’t do anything about it as it’s apparently very common in pregnancy, but I’ve had suspected kidney issues for years, so I’m going to push to see if they will consider further investigation as I’m not convinced it’s the harmless pregnancy version they assume it is.

So, in all, not a great update from me. The only positive, currently, is that I’m still pregnant. We just don’t know how long for. Last time I made it to 19+3. All we can do is hope, pray and try to force the NHS to help us.

RW269 · 10/04/2025 23:36

@KittyFantastica i have absolutely everything in the world crossed for you that you’re able to get some help and manage to get to a point where baby can come safely. I think about you often and I’ve been hoping for everything to work out for you. Has the specialist got any kind of review with you booked for after taking the antibiotics? See how things are going? Oh definitely have the kidneys checked, for your own health as well as otherwise! Sending you so much love and praying for you to get through to where they can come safely xx

Hi @RW269 sorry I haven't been on for ages just been so busy with work amd moving house. Aww Ivy is a fab name I also am having a girl.. Ivy was one of our favourite names too however baby surname is Hedges so not sure Ivy Hedges is appropriate also one of my colleagues has a baby and called Ivy. Do we have settled on Eden. Slightly more unusual than I would normally go for but I like it and middle name after my late mum who I lost to cancer so Eden Marian.

Thats fab news glad all.is well. Yes I dont take too much notice of what they say at growth scans I was told.my two boys were both gonna be over 10lb but we're 9.5 amd 9.1 in end.. I also having.frownth scans but for the otjer end of scale im measuring.bignfor dayws and she is a slightly.largwr than average at 20 week scan. Booked for a section anyway due to complicated births and 10 year gap since last. Iron hasn't been checked again yet..have app next Fri.so will.see. glad your all well 30 plus 3 here so what with se turn our due dates will be very simular.

RW269 · 09/07/2025 10:48

Ahh so they can be quite inaccurate really then!
Awwh it is nice though to see them that little bit extra at the growth scans isn’t it?
We’ve been advised to have a c section booked, they’re going to assess every growth scan to see when they want to do it. Bit anxious cause first birth I thought it would just be a smooth birth and the thought of the c section terrifies me but they said it’s the safest for baby so I’ll just have to deal with that haha!
Awwh yeah we will likely be within a week or so of each other depending when we have them! ☺️

I just hope they dont give me 13th Sept as thays my youngest sons.birrhday and as im a seperated parent.from their dad I dont want.it to impose on his birthday. X
