@worldwidetravel2017 yes have a few conditions myself makes it harder, all I manage is a walk with my dog every morning! Hopefully this is our year 🙌

Nice

Fingers and toes crossed.
So lucky to have a dog.
Dog ownership is in my 10 yr plan

Daniki · 15/01/2024 12:20

@worldwidetravel2017 I paid privately to see specialist after my second miscarriage and she gave me the prescription. My GP wouldn't prescribe it because he didn't understand enough about it and I didn't want to wait on a third loss to see the public clinic. Good job cuz I'd still be waiting 😂🙈

Hello, Could I join?

38 (DP 42) TTC for nearly a year now, never had a bfp. I have longer cycles (approx 35 days) and high AMH for my age but the luteal phase is exactly 2 weeks, and doctor does think I'm ovulating. I always get positive opks. So, the diagnosis is polycystic ovaries, without the syndrome...

Dp has borderline low morphology, but everything else is perfect, so shouldn't be affecting conception.

I've had hormone tests, ultrasound to check tubes, etc. etc. No issues, no endometriosis, no blocked tubes (well, one is definitely clear, they couldn't see the other fully, but no reason why it would be), hormone levels normal (other than AMH), nothing unusual at all. I've been reading through this thread though and a few of you have mentioned low progesterone. I don't think they've tested my progesterone so I think I should ask about that. Never had a bfp, even a chemical though, so I don't know what the issue is.

Have u ever tried daily zinc ?
Wont do any harm and often helps with cycles

Aw
Yes makes sense
So sorry to hear of your losses

Pregnancy after loss is hard

worldwidetravel2017 · 15/01/2024 12:22

Also -, have u guys had transvaginal scans to check for fibroids etc / to check structural ?
U can ask nhs gp 4 referral 4 that

worldwidetravel2017 · 15/01/2024 12:23

Hertility health - hormone and fertility testing are very good
Ive used them twice
150 gbp very well spent each time

worldwidetravel2017 · 15/01/2024 12:25

Make sure your vit d is @ least 80 too - the nearer to 100 the better
Source - it starts with an egg book

CatCaretaker · 15/01/2024 12:26

@worldwidetravel2017 will add zinc, can't hurt.

Yes, have had transvaginal scans and salineultrasound to check for issues. All clear (except for a polyp that I had removed, and shouldn't have affected conception anyway, apparently).

A holiday sounds amazing, enjoy!

Daniki · 15/01/2024 12:29

@worldwidetravel2017 yea very hard after loss, it takes the joy out it's a very anxious time! Must get that book iv been debating getting it! Iv been wondering recently if I have endo, iv always had long, painful periods but they've went next level in the last year, lasts 7 days, spotting, extreme pain and I have to double up on pads/tampons on day 2 of period. Gp hasn't been helpful in getting me diagnosed 🙈

You can ask 4 referal to gynae 4 maybe endo

They dont like to do endo looking 4 procedure - laparoscopy if people r trying to concieve though

CatCaretaker · 15/01/2024 12:31

@worldwidetravel2017 nope, just bought a house and every single penny is going into that!

worldwidetravel2017 · 15/01/2024 12:31

And maybe zinc too

worldwidetravel2017 · 15/01/2024 12:33

Vinted can be very good4 selling old stuff to fund holidays.
And when u buy stuff 4 new home - sites like top cash back and quidco help

I made 700 gbp last year via 4 bank switches
With the u switch current acc service

Daniki · 15/01/2024 12:36

@worldwidetravel2017 I actually took the progesterone the last 2 cycles from 3dpo and it defo helped the spotting!

CatCaretaker · 15/01/2024 12:37

Hey @worldwidetravel2017, I'm in the ROI but yes, all over 2nd hand sites, the only things we bought new so far were the toilets! 😂

worldwidetravel2017 · 15/01/2024 12:47

Bbt themometer
Basel body temp

worldwidetravel2017 · 15/01/2024 12:50

Im 37
My partner is 33.5

Heres hoping by xmas il be heavily preg

I think i might have progesterone issue as my current hurdle

Its common in females who are over weight to have less progesterone

Annoys me that bmi doesnt consider chest

39f boobs wont be helping bmi

CatCaretaker · 15/01/2024 15:14

@worldwidetravel2017 Christmas wishes, fingers crossed.

39F! Wow, seems that would make a difference to BMI all right (my 34A over here are a bit jealous!).

I've never measured BBT cause I don't think I'd be organised enough to measure it regularly. I do shift work so my schedule is all over the place too. There are BBT watches aren't there? Will check it out.

I'm sure you've outlined it in previous messages, but what tests have you had? Ultrasounds and hormonal etc?

worldwidetravel2017 · 15/01/2024 15:25

Did hormones and fertility twice with hertility health

Had transvaginal

Being seen by gynae again next month as some cysts need checking

I mean tmi
But we concieved quickly - 2nd month trying
But then was early miscarriage

Me being over 35 - we didnt expect to concieve that fast

  • & then didnt expect it to go wrong so fast

Before we tried to conceive I fixed feretin deficiency - vit d deficiency and b12 deficiency..
All those 3 are important

Havent had my prolactin checked yet - thats next - i have a friend whos done lotsa failed ivf - i told her to go back to basics - she got tests i suggested - her feretin / iron was low - she has tablets now and prolactin high - which they want to retest 4 her in a month

My androgen is normal so they dont overly think pcos

Yet tmi but i get my chin waxed but that could be high prolactin- im talking to dr tomo

Progesterone was low in past -, needs looking @ .

Clearly having had early miscarriage - concieving wasnt overly an issue - maybe we were ' just unlucky '
Or maybe my progesterone is low or prolactin high or both
^ both those issues can / could be fixed with tablets i believe.

Ive had other stuff like colon polyps dealt with lately
S0 many areas of my body have been looked @ / checked

Boobs arent ace 4 my 'old lady back ' tbh

They were smaller b4 i put the weight on with illnesses

CatCaretaker · 15/01/2024 17:05

Wow, you've had a lot. Didn't know that high prolactin was an issue (mine is OK anyway).

Fingers crossed for both yourself and your friend, the failed IVFs must be awful too.

CatCaretaker · 15/01/2024 17:31

What ovulation tests do you guys use BTW? I've always used the clearblue ones, but they're expensive and I think I'd rather be able to judge them myself, rather than waiting for a smiley face.
