@JC084 that sounds like a very stressful couple of days. Fingers crossed all is ok and there’s no more bleeding.

@RoseH36 exactly! You don’t want to hear how large the baby inside you looks when you know you have to be the one to give birth to them!!

RoseH36 · 19/02/2024 21:02

@JC084 oh that's amazing news! Fingers crossed they help. Which ones have you got? Expect a few side effects from them.

@Fullofconfusion exactly, easy to say that when you aren't the one who has to go through it all.

CatCaretaker · 19/02/2024 21:47

@Hayl777 sorry, I've no idea, but I see you got an answer on the main thread. Will you test again tomorrow, or wait the week?

JC084 · 19/02/2024 21:50

@Fullofconfusion thank you. Trying to keep positive!

@RoseH36 - cyclogest. Did the first one this evening ... hope side affects aren't too bad!

JC084 · 19/02/2024 21:52

@Hayl777 sorry I'm not too sure! Definitely keep an eye out for any other symptoms though. If you're worried, I'd call again and ask to be seen

Hayl777 · 19/02/2024 21:55

I am a bit worried.
I'm scared to be hopeful.
I just can't see how the test is getting darker.
I guess it's most likely to be ectopic so I am being very vigilant over symptoms.
But i can't help but hope... u hear stories of ladies having period throughout and all being well 🤞🏻

RoseH36 · 19/02/2024 22:12

@JC084 same as me 😊 hopefully you'll be ok on them.

CurlyWurly1991 · 20/02/2024 08:01

Ahh AF has got me today at 13dpo. Had a faint positive at 11dpo and those familiar heavy and stretching feelings so my guess is early chemical. So gutted… not looking forward to the first period post MMC either ! Wondering if it will ever happen to us and starting to lose hope.

CatCaretaker · 20/02/2024 08:11

@CurlyWurly1991 very sorry to hear that. Sorry, I don't remember your full story, have you had a chemical / MC before? How long have you been trying?

CatCaretaker · 20/02/2024 08:11

@Hayl777 how are you today?

CurlyWurly1991 · 20/02/2024 08:18

@CatCaretaker hi, yes I have had at least one chemical and had a MMC in January. Need to try and stay hopeful because I see lots of success after miscarriage stories on here xx I know it’s possible xx

CatCaretaker · 20/02/2024 08:25

@CurlyWurly1991 fingers crossed for you. Have you had any investigations into the MC / CPs? Or just in general? I'm not in UK so not familiar with how it works over there.

Hayl777 · 20/02/2024 08:33

CatCaretaker · 20/02/2024 08:11

@Hayl777 how are you today?

I was sick this morning but feel better now that i have eaten something.
Still no pain and no bleeding for 5 days.
Blood pressure is fine etc so think it's morning sickness kicking in.

SnookyPook · 20/02/2024 09:02

@CurlyWurly1991 sorry to hear that. It's very frustrating isn't it when you have a whisper of something and then it's gone. Hopefully this will be your cycle 🤞🏼🌈

CurlyWurly1991 · 20/02/2024 10:07

@SnookyPook thank you xx I was starting to think it was my time. In another sense it’s a relief to get AF and the wondering stops, don’t know if that makes sense?

@CatCaretaker my GP did a bunch of tests after we had been TTC 5 months and DH had a private sperm test. All fine. Day 21 test was marginally low on one cycle (but literally just borderline, I wasn’t concerned) and on a pregnancy cycle progesterone was high. I think it’s just age.

jellyfish2210 · 20/02/2024 10:16

AF arrived for me yesterday. Hycosy on the 5th so we won't be trying this cycle as my periods have arrived early the last two cycles and it's now the day after my predicted ovulation. Probably good to have a break anyway. This was cycle 13. And I was very emotional yesterday and definitely on the edge today so hopefully a break will be good.

RoseH36 · 20/02/2024 13:04

@CurlyWurly1991 I'm so sorry to hear that 😢 hope you're ok. Is it worth asking about progesterone? I'm sure @worldwidetravel2017 said you can ask for that after 2 mc now, unless I've imagined that. I honestly believe that's what's got me to this point so far.

CurlyWurly1991 · 20/02/2024 13:15

@RoseH36 thank you, I had good progesterone numbers in my pregnancy cycle though and only just borderline in an ovulatory cycle. No spotting in the MMC cycle at all 🤷🏼‍♀️

I am so glad it had been a help for you and everything is going well for your pregnancy xx

CurlyWurly1991 · 20/02/2024 13:15

@jellyfish2210 Im sorry to hear it, sounds like a bit of a break will do the world of good xx

There's a heartbeat 💓 I'm actually measuring an impossible 7+6 so no doubt they'll be telling me I'm likely to have a big baby. I had this with DS and had gestational diabetes at 30 so I'll start following that diet again. Booked in for another scan in 2 weeks time for reassurance.

Yay! Great news 🤩

Yes completely get what you mean. I used to really struggle the few days before AF and then when she appeared it was like relief and a chance to reset. Also I'm like you, I'm convinced my issues last year were an unfortunate run of less than optimal eggs due to my age. It's a numbers game isn't it - just takes one good one. 💕

@jellyfish2210 not surprised you've been struggling a bit. It's so relentless and the cycle of hope and crashing back down every month can be so exhausting. Hopefully the HyCoSy will be a positive for you - I've heard good things about them from others. 💕

Lalaland13 · 20/02/2024 16:49

Definitely feels like a numbers game! And it’s just once a month you get the chance, blows my mind how easy it was the first time. Really was not prepared this time round !

Sorry about your AF @CurlyWurly1991 - you can see why they say not to test early when this happens 😢 I do get what you say about a relief in way for AF to shows up when you’re left wondering.

My friend who is having her second says totally different experience finding out pregnant second time as know what to expect (it’s hard work !!) and said she wasn’t as excited as first time!!! I will be way happier this time as it’s taking so bloody long, I found out with my first the day before a night away at a vineyard with a friend! I was shocked and a tiny bit annoyed I couldn’t then drink or even keep a secret 😂😂 I’ll be jumping for joy this time if it ever happens!

Lalaland13 · 20/02/2024 16:57

When do you think would have ovulated per this? Screenshot from the watch - tests were darkest on weds/thurs! I was away a few days but we BD on 14th, 15th and 18th… hmm

jellyfish2210 · 20/02/2024 22:13

@Lalaland13 it blows my mind that so many of us are actively trying and it can take months or years to get pregnant, and then so many are accidentally getting pregnant. It just seems to unfair!

DH and I have decided to not try for the next two cycles and just remember what it's like to enjoy adult time and not have everything revolve around ovulation dates. Hoping to reclaim thoughts that aren't consumed by TTC!!

CurlyWurly1991 · 21/02/2024 09:19

@Lalaland13 looks like Friday to me, however the wrist temp is not reliable for bbt so I wouldn’t rely on it. Sounds like your dtd coverage was good in terms of the Opk though. Hopefully this is your cycle!

CD2 here and I’m kind of waiting for the disappointment to hit me but I guess I’m not expecting much any more. I think you start to get a bit numb… which is so sad. I gave myself a year to TTC, I worry about turning 38 with the miscarriage risk increasing (I know it’s not sudden but every cycle becomes less likely). In my head I am giving it another 3- 4 cycles and then will probably need to stop. I’ll probably feel relief as well as disappointment.
