Hi everyone, I'm a long time lurker. I'm 39 and ttc #3 which is my first with my husband. I'm 11DPO cycles are usually 26-27 days but I ovulated late this month on CD15 so flo is saying my period is not due until Wednesday.

Tested on a whim tonight and got these....

Hi girls, can I join?

I'm 36 and we've have been trying for 18 months.

For a few reasons, we've decided to continue to ttc until September this year, but if it doesn't happen we're calling it a day.

I'm currently 2dpo and I'm also a very early tester 😂

Fullofconfusion · 18/02/2024 23:07

@RoseH36 I’ll be thinking of you tomorrow.

@teampacey that looks like my first positive test when AF didn’t show last month, hopefully a sticky bean for you

Teela86 · 19/02/2024 07:17

@teampacey my positive on those strips was possibly even more pale than that at 11dpo and now they're much darker, congratulations

CatCaretaker · 19/02/2024 08:38

RoseH36 · 18/02/2024 21:19

Haha not 23DPO, I was on CD23 when I tested positive. So based on when I peaked it could be anything from 5+6 onwards 🤞

I was wondering about that, figured you must have very long cycles 😂!

What time is your scan again?

SnookyPook · 19/02/2024 08:54

Thinking of you @RoseH36 ! Nice you have a bit of a window with viable dates too. Hope you get reassurance today. X

RoseH36 · 19/02/2024 10:11

@SnookyPook @CatCaretaker @Fullofconfusion thank you. It's at 10:40, feeling so nervous.

Lalaland13 · 19/02/2024 10:42

Good luck @RoseH36 x

RoseH36 · 19/02/2024 12:33

There's a heartbeat 💓 I'm actually measuring an impossible 7+6 so no doubt they'll be telling me I'm likely to have a big baby. I had this with DS and had gestational diabetes at 30 so I'll start following that diet again. Booked in for another scan in 2 weeks time for reassurance.

CurlyWurly1991 · 19/02/2024 12:51

Yay @RoseH36 lovely news !!

Lalaland13 · 19/02/2024 12:53

Amazing @RoseH36 - congrats you must be so relieved !!

Haha yeah I had the same with my son and my due date was calc’d was 2 weeks prior to when I thought… of course he was 11 days ‘late’ and a normal 8lb 8oz not the 11 pound giant had been told!

RoseH36 · 19/02/2024 12:56

@CurlyWurly1991 thank you.

@Lalaland13 very relieved! I do have a small bleed above the sac so the spotting may have come from that, hopefully the rest gets absorbed.

Haha its funny where their measurements come from isn't it? I was told the same and he was 7lb 6oz 😅

Fullofconfusion · 19/02/2024 12:57

@RoseH36 that’s amazing!!

I’m so happy for you.

@Lalaland13 I was told big baby too, 10lb plus always measuring big etc. mine came 2 days early and 7lb 11oz. I think it’s hard for them to estimate from bump measurements. I was slightly worried I’d have a huge baby though!

Ah amazing news!! 😍 So happy to hear this! Haha you must have done a double take when they said 7+6 given you half thought 5+6 a possibility!

RoseH36 · 19/02/2024 13:03

@Fullofconfusion it does make you worry doesn't it? I recall one of the midwives looking at me once and saying you're having a whopper... not what you want to hear! Turns out I was carrying a lot of water and he had long legs!

@SnookyPook haha just a bit! I asked her again once I'd stopped crying how far along she'd said as I thought I must have misheard.

JC084 · 19/02/2024 13:06

@RoseH36 I am so pleased for you! 💗 that's brilliant!

I've had my 6 week scan on Friday. Everything looked healthy and they could see the yolk sac but no heartbeat as yet. They said I was probably more like 5 and a bit weeks. That might make sense as I know I ovulated late due to January's loss.

Then, last night I started bleeding. It got a bit heavier and i panicked and so went to a&e, as my EPAU had said to call them immediately if I had any bleeding. Was there for hours but was well
Looked after and I've now been prescribed progesterone ... however, I'm waiting for a call back today for me to go get it as they didn't have any last night. Not had a call yet so may call them shortly.

Bleeding is still there today but is only a very small amount and so I am hopeful that it might be ok. They've said I'll just have to wait it out though until my next scan in 2 weeks time

Am absolutely exhausted - physically and mentally ... not sure I can go through all this again and so just hope it's a normal bleed and all is ok

SnookyPook · 19/02/2024 13:35

@JC084 that seems bad that they're making you wait 2 weeks until the next scan. Sometimes places seem to come at this overly medically and forget the people going through it. Hope you get the progesterone asap and that everything settles. Rose and I are both examples of bleeds and everything being fine but it is so so unnerving - especially if you've been through loss before. Hope you're doing ok. X

RoseH36 · 19/02/2024 13:43

@JC084 thank you. I'm sorry to hear what you're going through again. Definitely chase the progesterone, you need to be on it ASAP. I'd try and get a second opinion on a scan, there's no way I'd be wanting to wait another 2 weeks. Just tell them it's making you really anxious and worry. Keep us posted, we're rooting for you x

Bumblebee413 · 19/02/2024 15:12

Oh @RoseH36 I’m so happy to hear your news! What a relief 🥰

@JC084 so sorry to hear what a scary weekend you had x

JC084 · 19/02/2024 15:29

@Bumblebee413 @RoseH36 @SnookyPook
Thank you ladies. Ive done next to nothing today. Just resting up and trying to get some energy back. Have been trying to call EPAU since 1pm ish but with no luck as yet. They close at4, so worried I won't be able to get the progesterone. Will keep trying.
Bleeding seems to have stopped now which I'm
Taking as a good sign x

worldwidetravel2017 · 19/02/2024 16:16

Hope u get the progsterone @JC084

Glad alls okay @RoseH36

CatCaretaker · 19/02/2024 16:58

@RoseH36 so delighted for you!

@JC084 did you get the progesterone?

RoseH36 · 19/02/2024 17:55

@Bumblebee413 @worldwidetravel2017 @CatCaretaker thank you. Hopefully the size won't be a concern but no idea how they can put me at that gestation, I've counted back 7 weeks, 6 days and that was Boxing Day, 4 days before I had a period 😅 I'll change my name to Mary as clearly it was a Christmas miracle.

@JC084 sorry your EPAU don't sound very easy to get hold of, assume they don't have a voicemail? Ours does so they always get back to you as soon as they can. It's something simple they should all do really.

JC084 · 19/02/2024 18:37

Thanks all. Managed to get through, went up there and got my prescription just before they closed. Phew! All sorted for now.

Bleeding seems to have stopped so 🤞🏼

Hayl777 · 19/02/2024 19:35
