Oh gosh - sorry to read you’re having this worry @RoseH36 but spotting and a bit of blood can be absolutely nothing to worry about so try to stay calm and hope all worried eased on Monday xx

RoseH36 · 17/02/2024 14:41

@Lalaland13 thank you, really hoping its nothing. Still feel sick this afternoon so taking that as a positive

CatCaretaker · 17/02/2024 16:46

@RoseH36 how are you now, has the spotting eased off? Thinking of you all day, I hope it's just harmless spotting.

RoseH36 · 17/02/2024 17:23

@CatCaretaker thank you, still not much at all when I wipe but am getting a bit of cramping starting. Still feel really sick and tired like I have been all the way through so far so who knows what's going on 🙁

RoseH36 · 17/02/2024 17:40

@worldwidetravel2017 our A&E is a nightmare at weekends, there's honestly no point me going there. If all stays the same tomorrow I'll just wait until Monday and see what the scan shows.

Daniki · 17/02/2024 18:58

@RoseH36 sorry to hear about your spotting, just wanted to say it's very common to spot with progesterone as it irritates the cervix so could well be just that. Some women insert it rectally to avoid this? Also wanted to say from person experience I'd avoid a&e , I went in on my first miscarriage as was unsure what I was supposed to do and they left me sitting there bleeding for 9 hours and then told me to come back the next day for a scan in the EPU. I'd ring EPU Monday morning and see can they take you in for a scan 🫶🏻

SnookyPook · 17/02/2024 19:05

@RoseH36 why do these things always happen at weekends? My last bleed was a Friday night and had to wait until Monday afternoon for the scan. It felt like an eternity. Really hope everything is ok for you. Sending lots of love and good wishes your way. 💕

RoseH36 · 17/02/2024 19:57

@Daniki I'm booked in Monday morning, I was booked in Tuesday for a scan anyway so managed to change it. Really hoping it is just the progesterone as nothing has gotten worse through today. I did my lunchtime one rectally, quite stingy lol but no mess! So will stick to that for now in case it has irritated me. Sorry to hear you were left for so long in a&e, such an awful way to treat you.

@SnookyPook it's typical isn't it? Things haven't gotten any worse, several times I've been to the loo and it's been totally fine, just a couple of times with slight discoloration on the tissue bur nothing major.

Daniki · 17/02/2024 20:26

@RoseH36 oh god I know all about it I have Crohn's disease and the amount of stuff iv had to put up there--tmi 😂 but hopefully that helps, from what you described there it sounds like it could be just from irritation! Hope tomorrow flies by for you, as @SnookyPook said these things always happen on wknds 😣

Bumblebee413 · 17/02/2024 21:24

I’m so sorry to hear you’re having such a rubbish time @RoseH36. It’s great that you’ve got an alternative option with the pessaries and that you were able to get the scan that one day earlier. Apologies if it’s obvious or tmi, but using your little finger rather than another to help the pessary on its way up here can help with the stinging. Hope that the cramping abates- I get really bad stress related IBS, so hoping it might be something like that. Sending you lots of love x

Keeping everything crossed for you @CurlyWurly1991. Apologies if a silly question, but have you had a negative test since the mmc? X

CurlyWurly1991 · 17/02/2024 21:32

@Bumblebee413 not a silly question at all, yes I had a negative test about 3.5 weeks after surgery.

RoseH36 · 18/02/2024 08:43

@Daniki oh bless you, you must have to go through a lot with Crohn's, that can't be easy. Touchwood at the moment things still seem settled, just want today over with.

@Bumblebee413 hadn't thought of that at all so thank you, it did help the one this morning 😊

Bumblebee413 · 18/02/2024 10:31

@RoseH36 oh I’m so glad! How are you feeling today?

@CurlyWurly1991 that’s great news xxx

RoseH36 · 18/02/2024 10:57

@Bumblebee413 exhausted. I've been having a horrible sensation all week of feeling hungry/sick so several days I've been up in the night needing food. Was sat downstairs at 4:30 eating toast 😅 taking it as a positive that those feelings haven't gone though as horrible as they are. Hope you're doing ok.

CurlyWurly1991 · 18/02/2024 12:53

Ahh @RoseH36 i remember that feeling . Not fun! I used to keep a cheese sandwich next to my bed for the nighttime munchies 🤢 I gained about 20kg 😆

RoseH36 · 18/02/2024 13:17

@CurlyWurly1991 it's awful isn't it? I never had this with DS. That's a good idea though, would save me having to go downstairs. I was fine until I needed the loo at 2am and being awake kick started the hunger. Tried to hold out as long as I could before eating.

CurlyWurly1991 · 18/02/2024 14:38

@RoseH36 I guess every pregnancy is different. I’ve heard good things about supplementing with b6 for nausea and taking ginger root tablets (much stronger than just eating ginger). I had terrible nausea in my first pregnancy which is probably why it has taken 10 years to pull together the courage to face it again 😆

I am trying to keep myself from testing today. Yesterday’s bfp was so faint at 10dpo but I didn’t hold etc. Might try tomorrow, what’s the consensus - first or second morning urine, afternoon, evening, how long to hold for? I am normally patient enough to wait for AF when these things don’t matter so much. Maybe I should just sit on my hands until Tuesday when AF is due…

Bumblebee413 · 18/02/2024 15:19

@CurlyWurly1991 I don’t have any sensible advice- I always make grand plans then cave and pee. I figure if it’s showing on pee that isn’t held or first thing in the morning at this stage then that would make it all the better if it’s there again? There is definite space for error in my logic 😂

Cant tell you how much I’m loving the cheese sandwich idea- genius. I’m just eating constant junk to try and stave off the nausea. Anything carby and bland and I’m there. Grateful for it though x

RoseH36 · 18/02/2024 17:44

@CurlyWurly1991 will have a look for those tablets, probably better than the stem ginger cookies I've been munching on, as nice as they are they won't do me any favours.

I found afternoons showed up better on the one step than morning.

@Bumblebee413 glad it's not just me! Although anything I eat is then causing indigestion so getting through loads of Rennie.

Lalaland13 · 18/02/2024 18:24

Sunday nearly done @RoseH36 hope all goes well tomo.

The cheese sarnie idea is amazing! Have to say I get hangry even when not pregnant, I always have breakie and proper lunch! I feel nauseaous if not!

My BBT was steadily increasing but dipped yest and today, it started to rise again… I think that means ovulation very close but the ovulation tests are so unreliable! They were darker on Thursday I think than today

RoseH36 · 18/02/2024 18:53

@Lalaland13 thank goodness! But now it's wanting tomorrow over but at the same dreading it. Just praying there's a heartbeat at this stage even if I'm measuring earlier than they'd put me at as I don't want an anxious wait.

Fingers crossed it rises further for you, I've never checked BBT before so wouldn't have a clue about that but did find the only OPKs I could rely on were Clearblue.

SnookyPook · 18/02/2024 20:07

@RoseH36 hope you're doing ok. Remind me what gestation you think you're at? I thought I was 7+2 at my first scan but measured a week behind however with a good heartbeat at 6+2. Stayed on that trajectory. Was a bit frustrating going back a whole week though!!

@CurlyWurly1991 good luck with your next testing session whether tomorrow or Tuesday 😊 x

RoseH36 · 18/02/2024 20:49

@SnookyPook that's reassuring to hear, same as you actually, 7+2 tomorrow so thinking it will hopefully be anything from 5+2 onwards. Always tricky when they count those weeks we know we weren't pregnant. The first test I did picked it up which was 23DPO.

RoseH36 · 18/02/2024 21:19

Haha not 23DPO, I was on CD23 when I tested positive. So based on when I peaked it could be anything from 5+6 onwards 🤞
