Aw @jellyfish2210 theres still time. I’m 9dpo and getting soooo tempted to test but I expect a bfn and I think it’ll just make me grumpy, plus I won’t trust it. I really hate the end of the TWW, if I could go to sleep between about 6dpo and 14dpo every cycle then I would!

jellyfish2210 · 16/02/2024 09:04

@CurlyWurly1991 I know. The first week is not so bad because there's no point in test but these last few days when I'm so desperate to see two lines, is really tough. At least it's over the weekend and we have a birthday party to go to tomorrow that I said I would help at so that will help distract me for a little while.

SouthwestSis · 16/02/2024 09:44

Hi @Libbynznz I'm on CD5 today,
Have had a CP and an early loss in the last 6 months, took last cycle off to try and give myself a bit of TLC but rubbish viral illnesses and terrible sleep for my just-2yr old mean I feel even more wiped out.
We're probably going to have to retry sleep training soon as we're both nearly broken

I caved. 10dpo and I did a easy@home test. It's bfn and I'm getting sore eyes squinting at it. Still a couple days before AF. Really wanted to get bfp this cycle. I have hycosy booked for the 5th March and I really really don't want to have to do it. Was really praying this would be the cycle and I wouldn't have to do it. Still got time for a bfp, not out until AF rears her ugly head

@jellyfish2210 why don't you want to do the hycosy?

jellyfish2210 · 16/02/2024 18:55

@CatCaretaker oh because I'm a total prude!! 🙈 the transvaginal US that I had was uncomfortable enough let alone them hocking about up there with a catheter and saline 🙄

Ah, fair enough. If it's any consolation, I had one, and it wasn't uncomfortable or sore at all, but that won't help with the embarrassment of the situation, I get you.

The lady I had wa lovely and just kept chatting to distract me, hopefully you'll get someone similar (if you have to go through with it, gingers crossed you won't!).

RoseH36 · 16/02/2024 19:02

@Fullofconfusion well done for getting that booked in, here's hoping the next few weeks fly by for you.

I've been a bit quiet on here lately, been struggling with the feeling of nausea/hunger constantly, you know that feeling where you can't determine whether you need to be sick or eat? It's eased off a bit yesterday and today thankfully.

Nervous about my scan next week, so desperate for this to be successful, we won't be trying again so it really is make or break.

RoseH36 · 17/02/2024 08:11

Just been to the loo and the tissue was discoloured when I wiped 😪 this has never been good news for me in the past. Should be 7 weeks today. Test yesterday was very much positive and still getting signs and symptoms. Will call EPAU and see if I can move my scan back to Monday and try and find childcare for DS.

CurlyWurly1991 · 17/02/2024 08:12

Oh @RoseH36 hopefully it is just some spotting and everything is fine in there. Spotting can be harmless. I hope the EPAU can move the scan and it will be reassuring xx

CurlyWurly1991 · 17/02/2024 08:14

How are my TWW sufferers getting on?
I started to feel hopeful based on unusual symptoms and 6-8dpo spotting, but have had a rush of blood today (sorry tmi!!) and I am 10dpo. Feels like I’m pressuring myself about this cycle because of the MMC. Haven’t even had a period in between.

RoseH36 · 17/02/2024 08:15

@CurlyWurly1991 thank you, I'm terrified of it happening again. They've got me in Monday, it was originally booked for then until I realised its a PD day for DS nursery. Monday can't come round quick enough

CurlyWurly1991 · 17/02/2024 08:23

@RoseH36 It’s awful xx I know I will feel similarly if/when I’m lucky enough to be pregnant again. Remember just because it has happened before it doesn’t mean it will again. I’m glad the EPAU are being supportive and accommodating xx

RoseH36 · 17/02/2024 08:30

@CurlyWurly1991 thank you, trying to stay positive but it's so hard.

CurlyWurly1991 · 17/02/2024 08:43

@RoseH36 I hope then when you have your lovely baby in your arms you will be able to look back and know it was all worth it, even though it is such a cruel and tough ride when you are going through it.

RoseH36 · 17/02/2024 08:48

@CurlyWurly1991 that's why I so desperately hope everything will be ok. We're not trying again if this doesn't work out as we said if progesterone can't prevent it happening then nothing is likely to.

CurlyWurly1991 · 17/02/2024 08:52

@RoseH36 thats a lot of pressure. I do understand the reasoning but for now, if you can, I would try and put that to one side in your mind and not think about it as ‘now or never’. You can revisit that decision if needed at a later date xx

Fullofconfusion · 17/02/2024 09:01

@RoseH36 i have everything crossed for you that this is just a bit of harmless spotting and your scan will show a happy little bean tucked away in there.

It’s so stressful. The trying. The early days. The constant worry. I try very hard to only worry about the things that I have control over. As you just make yourself miserable worrying about the things that you don’t. I know it’s not easy but try to think that way. Sending you lots of love and positivity

SnookyPook · 17/02/2024 09:02

@RoseH36 it's such a horrible feeling when you see something on the tissue. I've had 3 episodes os spotting so far this pregnancy - the last one included a couple of small clots too. Every time I've been convinced it was the end. And every time it's been random, baby has been fine and they can't see any obvious reason for it. It's been majorly triggering for me as the only hint for my MMC was a couple of spotting incidents. However, it genuinely seems to be 'different pregnancy, different outcome'. Spotting really can be something or nothing. In my case they think it's my cervix. Incidentally the progesterone pessaries can irritate a delicate cervix too. I really hope that's all it is for you too, however I know that nothing is going to reassure you until a positive scan is seen. Try and keep yourself busy this weekend and hope Monday comes round quickly for you. 💕

Agree with this too. It may well be what's been discussed but it is a lot of pressure and doesn't sound like something that's helping you for now so maybe put it to one side and decide to revisit it if needed. 💕

RoseH36 · 17/02/2024 09:22

Thank you ladies, I just said to DH I wonder if progesterone could be causing it as I know it can irritate your cervix. I'm on 3 pessaries a day which is a lot and have had other side effects from them. Still a lot of discolouring when I wipe but at the moment nothing else. It's hard not to compare things to other times isn't it? When I had my mmc I bled but had no pain so even the nurses at the hospital assumed things would be fine.

CurlyWurly1991 · 17/02/2024 10:47

@RoseH36 it could well be the pessaries. Will be thinking of you on Monday.

I’ve just had a barely there but visible line on an internet cheapy test. Didn’t use FMU and it’s 10dpo so very early still. However, Im spotting quite a bit so could well be a chemical. I’ve just felt so off the past week it pushed me to test. But now I feel none the wiser really!

RoseH36 · 17/02/2024 10:54

@CurlyWurly1991 thank you. Going to try the others rectally today as I've read people have less issues that way, as much as I don't like the sound of it.

Oh fingers crossed for you! Will be great news if it is

SnookyPook · 17/02/2024 11:06

@CurlyWurly1991 ah fingers crossed for you 💕

worldwidetravel2017 · 17/02/2024 11:45

Thinking of u @RoseH36

RoseH36 · 17/02/2024 12:15

@worldwidetravel2017 thank you. There was nothing when I wiped just so hoping it is just a bit of irritation from the progesterone.
