Ok ladies I think I’m going slightly crazy here. AF was due 8 days ago now. Plenty of cramps and sore boobs so I’ve been awaiting patiently. At 4 days late I tested and a very stark negative.

Now my cycles have been long since coming off the pill in September so I thought nothing of it. Been having very sore boobs and cramps every day still. DTD last night and there was pink discharge afterwards so I assumed today AF would be here full force but not even a tiny bit of pink or red! It’s driving me crazy.

I think I’ll test again tomorrow

Bumblebee413 · 02/02/2024 21:16

I’m so sorry @Lalaland13 xxx

CurlyWurly1991 · 03/02/2024 07:49

I’m sorry too @Lalaland13 I hope your next cycle is a sticky bean xx

@Fullofconfusion that is confusing! Do you temp by any chance? This can confirm that ovulation has taken place and a clue about where things are at. I do find it very useful because I’ve had a couple of occasions where I’ve had a positive OpK and other signs but no temperature rise, so no ovulation. Usually I have ovulated later that cycle.

someone was asking about temping, sorry can’t remember who. You need a bbt thermometer to do it and the temperature rise indicates that ovulation has happened (increase in temperature is due to progesterone which is released by the corpus luteum after ovulation). You need to dtd before the temp rise as otherwise you have missed the egg.
a good book to find out more is ‘taking charge of your fertility’ or download the fertility friend app which, while a bit clunky and old fashioned, is generally excellent and has lots of guides etc.

@JC084 congratulations ! X

Lalaland13 · 03/02/2024 07:54

Ohh congrats @JC084 xx

Lalaland13 · 03/02/2024 09:16

Oh so you need to use OPK as well as BBT really then @CurlyWurly1991 - I have always wondered if just BBT worked x

CurlyWurly1991 · 03/02/2024 10:26

@Lalaland13 Ideally yes I think OPKs plus bbt are a really good combination. On the other hand if you have very regular cycles and predictable signs of ovulation (EWCM) then maybe you can avoid the OPKs. I kind of hate them tbh!

Bec0mum · 03/02/2024 14:23

I’m so confused! I’ve done my first two opks yesterday (CD9) and today (CD10) and the test line seems to be lighter today? Yesterday I did it at 2:30pm and today at 1pm. Does it have to be exactly the same time every day?

Ummmm….I’m not sure AF is coming

I’ve taken a one step test this afternoon and I think I’m in shock right now. My periods have been so all over the place that tracking hasn’t really been possible but I think this may be my BFP

@Fullofconfusion congratulations 👏🎉

CurlyWurly1991 · 03/02/2024 16:14

@Fullofconfusion yey!! Lovely news xxx congratulations !!

CoolSummer89 · 03/02/2024 17:31

@Fullofconfusion ahhh congrats! So exciting!! How many days post ovulation are you?

SouthwestSis · 03/02/2024 18:42

Evening all, so I'm back after having an early loss (again) early on in January. We conceived straight away next cycle after a chemical/early loss at the end of Nov, so I'm feeling pretty wiped out this month on top of me and my toddler having a viral lurgy atm.
Have been trying my best to rest but what with work and a toddler the opportunities are a bit non-existent.
No BD this cycle so far, will be starting to try again next cycle

JC084 · 03/02/2024 20:06

Tested about 7pm this eve and so think I'll take this as my BFP!
9 days dpo - cautiously happy x

RoseH36 · 03/02/2024 20:39

@Fullofconfusion @JC084 congratulations to you both 😍

@SouthwestSis hope you're doing ok and you and your toddler are better soon. So hard being ill with a little one around, amazes me how they still manage to keep their energy.

Lalaland13 · 03/02/2024 21:15

Ohh congrats @Fullofconfusion ❤️❤️

Lalaland13 · 03/02/2024 21:17

Hope you’re okay @SouthwestSis and get some rest - somedays it’s just freaking hard.
Sorry for the losses 😢 it’s a bloody hard slog sometimes xx

Lalaland13 · 03/02/2024 21:19

Yeah OPKs are hard @Bec0mum ! I guess same as preg tests the level of your impacts what it shows. I’ve not really found them that helpful but I do use them and I seem to have them totally clear or some kind of line … and I assume a line means it’s time to BD xx

SnookyPook · 03/02/2024 22:27

@Fullofconfusion @JC084 congratulations! 🥰

@SouthwestSis sorry for your loss and being poorly on top of that too. Hope you're doing as ok as can be xx

Fullofconfusion · 03/02/2024 22:42

@CoolSummer89 good question! My Flo app thought I’d ovulated on 10th January. I did some OPKs but didn’t get an obvious peak so I’m not sure that’s entirely correct.

VixFromThe6ix · 04/02/2024 04:10

@Fullofconfusion @JC084 Congratulations to you both!!! Let's go sticky beans!!! 🤞🤞🤞

JC084 · 04/02/2024 07:19

@Fullofconfusion congrats!!

Thanks everyone - need to call hospital first thing tomorrow to see what they advise. Am Booked into recurring miscarriage clinic end of March, but they did say if I got pregnant in the meantime to call them straightaway. Am nervous, but will just try and relax and see what happens.

Bumblebee413 · 04/02/2024 07:59

Huge congratulations @JC084 and @Fullofconfusion ! So exciting!

@SouthwestSis I’m so sorry. You absolutely didn’t need a lurgy on top of all that. Xxx

Fullofconfusion · 04/02/2024 18:24

@JC084 huge congrats to you too!

I’m still feeling cautiously happy. Took another test today and still have a line. I also have cramping and general pre-period symptoms so I still feel slightly on edge.

Fullofconfusion · 04/02/2024 19:18

And thank you everyone for your congratulations. It means a lot

RoseH36 · 04/02/2024 21:42

@Fullofconfusion it's so hard when early pregnancy symptoms are the same as pre menstrual ones. I've still had cramping on and off but the tiredness has really kicked in this weekend, I'm shattered. Part of it could be the progesterone too though as that apparently causes tiredness, and sore boots, my left one in particular is really sore.
