Anyone ttc in 2024 after loss?

Lost my perfect little baby at the end of October. I was 15 weeks, baby was gone since 13 weeks. Planning to start ttc again in January. I am devastated and finding it hard to cope. Also extremely nervous about being pregnant again. Yet the need to have a living baby in my arms, outweighs the crippling fear. This little baby was my first too.

@Nic2908 sorry you're feeling that way, it's so tough isn't it. A demanding job and miscarriage trauma aren't going to make things feel more doable at all, right. Be kind to yourself. You're right, small steps are absolutely the way forward! Well done for getting on the bike!!

@Ella31 welcome and I'm so so sorry for the heartbreaking loss of your twin boys.
Sending a hand hold and wishing you well in the next step of your journey x

@christmasmistletoe 4 many the miscarriage bleeding turns into / is kinda counted as a period

My last mc - didn't ovulate for nearly 9 weeks so don't worry.

Hi ladies, happy new year. It's 4 weeks tomorrow since the miscarriage. I'm hoping AF will arrive asap so we can get started ttc again. I'm feeling very low in mood, which I hope lifts soon.

@Ella31 you are so incredibly brave, even though it probably doesn’t feel like it.

have any of you read the worst girl gang over? It’s a tough read I won’t lie but I actually thought it helped me.

when people say things they think will help but actually make things worse, someone said to me ‘some babies just want to know what unconditional love feels like, that love that only a mummy can give. Then that’s enough for them. They go and they take that love and use it to protect us and the ones we love the most’. That has really stayed with me and I feel that it’s quite a powerful belief. And so I truely believe that each and everyone of us have our little angels looking out for us and they will bring us our babies.

this is going to be the luckiest of all threads!!

let’s bring on all of those double lines.

Hi all, I'm so sorry to read of your losses. I'd like to join you all; I really appreciate the support on these threads. In just over a year we've lost our first pregnant, our daughter at 25 weeks and then after a break had a chemical followed by an early miscarriage. It's all been rather shit for want of a better word! Sending you all love ❤️

And so are you. I was completely distraught after my first two losses and then I conceived my twins - even though I was robbed of them, I wouldn't change them for the world.

So don't give up hope, I almost had before my angel boys.

I agree this will be the luckiest thread please god.

Hi @Vic231 welcome, I'm so sorry for the loss of your daughter. Lost my twin boys at 29, before that i also had a mc and a chemical. Its horrible. Hope you are doing ok❤️

8dpo - bfn 😢 am I being ridiculous to be upset?, the last time I tested positive was 8dpo/9dpo with my twins.

Not trying to replace my sons but I want to be pregnant again so badly. I held my baby son in my arms as he died aged 4 days old and my husband held his twin brother who was born sleeping. Though tragic I knew at that moment all I ever wanted to be was a mother and yet here I am distraught that I'll likely get my period for the first time after giving birth 8 weeks ago.

moosey89 · 03/01/2024 15:00

@Ella31 I'm so sorry for all you've been through. Please try not to test early, it brings even more stress and heartache and doesn't change the outcome. Sending you huge hugs xx

Bey · 03/01/2024 15:04

@Ella31 i am so sorry for your losses, so heartbreaking.

I tested negative 9 days po with my last pregnancy then went on to test positive a few days later when my period hadn't arrived so there's still hope. No of course you're not ridiculous to be upset, it's so understandable. I hope you don't have to wait too long to become a mother you sound like you will be a wonderful one.

Thanks @Bey , I miss my boys terribly. Giving birth to them was my proudest moment, it just didn't go my way unfortunately. That's good to know about the dpo, I've no idea when my period is due because I had a chemical last February, didn't get a period at all after, but ovulated and then got pregnant with my boys - so I'm nearly a year without a period.

You are so right. I think I'm basing it off testing positive last time with my boys.

@Ella31 I really feel for you. Its so hard. I can relate to how desperate you feel. After my first loss I so so wanted to be pregnant again that first cycle afterwards around 10dpo I got a bfn on a test and then I lost my mind a little bit going to a shop and buying one of every test as I just needed just one of them to positive and surely one of them would be. They weren't and it was brutal.
On another cycle for the bfp with my DS I didn't get a bfp until 11dpo. Only time can tell. If not this cycle, then it'll be another cycle. Sending love x

Thanks @Hopingrae , I think it's all the emotions too. Visiting the boys grave this week was hard and I know I have to deal with the grief too. Hope you are doing ok yourself

Af arrived but I'm really worried. My luteal phase was only 9 days/10 at most. Anyone here who gave birth have this before with their first period. I saw it can happen with breastfeeding but obviously I wasn't due to the loss.

I lost my twin boys at 29 weeks - 2 months ago. One stillborn my other son died 4 days later. I'm trying again and currently 7dpo. Have back pain and sore breasts so feel like my period is coming. Feeling quite sad to think it's a period. Hoping 2024 will be a better year.

I am so sorry for your loss. That must have been devastating for you. I'm keeping everything crossed for you Flowers

Sending so much love and positivity to everyone on this thread.

It's been a few months now since my early miscarriage in Sept. We haven't really tried properly since as my cycles have been all over the place.

Trying properly this month and tracking the lot. I have had positive ovulation tests this evening on CD11 both cheap opk and clear blue. We have been have sex every other day anyway and I just told my partner we need to go again tonight - he looks shattered bless him! CD11 seems quite early to ovulate but hey ho we're rolling with it!

Xx

Ella31 · 04/01/2024 19:40

When I conceived before - I just dtd around my fertile window - wondering should i expand it out now. Probably dtd 3/4 days before ovulation and 2 after to cover base.

@DiaryOfaTTCer oh stop. The look on my DH face when I'd announce "another night of dtd" the poor souls🤣

Hopefully this will be it for you.

@DiaryOfaTTCer good luck with TTC this cycle! I tend to ovulate between CD 12 and 14, so I sometimes gets positive opk on day 11 too. I'm on CD8 of first period and still spotting, I'm hoping ovulation isn't delayed too much! I feel so ready to try again.

@UnderstatedElegance any sign of AF yet? I found the waiting for first AF so tough, I just wanted to feel like my body was moving on. Hope you're doing ok.

Hopingrae · 05/01/2024 11:47

@Vic231 I'm so sorry for the loss of your daughter. Sending hand hold and positive vibes to you for the next part of your TTC journey.

Any luck today ladies? Just back from my gp, decided to have a checkup as my anxiety was bad the last few days. Was really positive and kind. And it's helped my fears about not being able to conceive again. Actually excited about the coming month now and the hope of a bfp.
