Anyone ttc in 2024 after loss?

Lost my perfect little baby at the end of October. I was 15 weeks, baby was gone since 13 weeks. Planning to start ttc again in January. I am devastated and finding it hard to cope. Also extremely nervous about being pregnant again. Yet the need to have a living baby in my arms, outweighs the crippling fear. This little baby was my first too.

Keeping everything crossed for you @Chaz693 and so sorry for your loss

Hopingrae · 06/03/2024 14:07

@mamataylor I wish you all the luck for your latest cycle and it would make my day to see you on the other thread! Sending all the positive vibes your way x
@Chaz693 mine looked very similar at 10dpo! Everything crossed for you!!

mamataylor · 06/03/2024 21:09

@Hopingrae @Bey thank you lovely ladies 🥰

@Chaz693 congratulations xx

Chaz693 · 07/03/2024 09:40

I tested again this morning and there is a much clearer line on both tests. I'm so shocked! And can't quite believe it. Thank you for all the support!

Congratulations @Chaz693 they are good lines ☺️

Retailchick · 07/03/2024 15:50

Congratulations @Chaz693 I can definitely see a line. Had a little break from MN and tried to put TTC out of my mind last month but I’m back in the running this month and just started the TWW 🤞🏼🤞🏼…now to distract myself from going crazy over symptom spotting!!

mamataylor · 07/03/2024 17:02

@Retailchick im due to ovulate in the next day or 2 so I’ll be in the dreaded tww with you so at least we’ll have each other to bounce off and keep company! X

Gracie1825 · 14/03/2024 10:22

Congratulations @Bey and @Chaz693

Chaz693 · 14/03/2024 10:27

Thanks for all the congratulations but unfortunately this ended in another miscarriage on Wednesday. I started bleeding heavily and the doctors said my hcg was going down. So there treating it as a chemical. So I’ll be back ttcing next month after a little break to just give myself a break. Feeling emotionally drained after 2 back to back miscarriages. X

Gracie1825 · 14/03/2024 10:42

I've been quiet thought I might cope better if I wasn't obsessed this month. With mumsnet and symptoms watching etc didn't start testing early and AF came today and I'm still so upset.
Thought more things were aligned this month.. previous 2 cycles were 25 and 26 and this was 28 so was very hopeful.
This was cycle 3 after MMC
Going to let myself be sad today and try and be positive again tomorrow

@Chaz693 so sorry for your loss. Take care of yourself ♥️

@Gracie1825 sorry to hear AF arrived.

@Bey @Hopingrae how are you both? X

Chaz693 · 14/03/2024 13:06

Thank you all. I’m doing okay. Trying to get in to see my doctors to request some tests as they told me last time they wouldn’t do anything as I’d had a healthy pregnancy between my miscarriages. So now I’m pushing for at least a blood test to just figure out what’s going on. I’ll hopefully be back in April or May with ttcing after I’ve had some tests. X good luck everyone! X

Bey · 14/03/2024 13:37

Hi @mamataylor i am doing ok thank you, I am now 5 weeks along, I still have no symptoms which is making me feel very nervous. Still checking for bloody every time I go to the loo, and still worrying but hopeful.

How are you?

Hopingrae · 14/03/2024 14:47

@mamataylor thanks for checking in. I'm 7 weeks today. Managing to take it one day at a time. Although very much like @bey, always a bit worried going to the loo! My nausea has really ramped up in the last few days, feeling pretty ropey. Undecided about early scans or whether to just see if we get to 12 weeks. Whereabouts are you this cycle? Hope you're doing ok?

mamataylor · 14/03/2024 17:42

@Bey my morning sickness etc didn’t kick in with my daughter until 6 weeks so there’s still time. Equally you may have a smooth pregnancy and have zero symptoms the whole way through - my sister in law was like that and her little girl is now 18 months old! Take it a day at a time 🥰

@Hopingrae if you feel an early scan will reassure you then there is no harm in having one! I understand your reservations though. Sorry to hear you’re feeling a bit rough too - it’s catch 22 with sickness isn’t it 🙈 reassuring for you but also rubbish for you!

Yes I’m doing ok thank you, both. I’m 6dpo today so in the dreaded tww 🙃 AF is due next Saturday so will try and hold out until then to test! I’ll be back to update you both 🤞 x

Bey · 15/03/2024 11:36

@mamataylor

Thank you I'll probably regret hoping for symptoms once they kick in!

hope the tww goes quickly for you and this month is your month 🤞🤞🤞

Retailchick · 18/03/2024 17:15

Hi everyone, hope you are doing ok.

@Chaz693 im really sorry for your loss and hope you get some answers from the GP.

I am a bit in shock as was expecting my period today, have had a bit of spotting as I usually do before AF arrives but have had a very faint positive on a cheapie test stick just now.

I just wondered if any of you have had / known there to be false positives on cheaper tests and wondering if I go and buy an early response test it will show any darker line even though I won’t be testing with FMU? Or do I wait and retest tomorrow? I genuinely feel like my eyes might be playing tricks as this can’t be happening with a natural cycle after 2 rounds of IVF (DS conceived on first 2.5 years ago) and trying naturally for 5+ years…

Retailchick · 18/03/2024 17:17

Here is the line - can anyone else see it?

Sandwichesandwine · 18/03/2024 17:42

I see it @Retailchick I think an early test at the point of missed period should work any time of day but may make sense to wait til the morning if you can. Keeping everything crossed for you! Xx

Retailchick · 18/03/2024 18:27

Thanks @@Sandwichesandwine I couldn’t wait until the morning and have just done a dash to Tesco.

Also a faint line here I think. Would you expect it to be darker on this? I can’t believe it - keeping everything crossed it isn’t chemical 🙏🏻🤞🏼

Bey · 18/03/2024 18:52

They look like definite lines to me @Retailchick especially if you were due AF today very unlikely to be a false positive, congratulations!!

mamataylor · 18/03/2024 19:23

@Retailchick i can see it!! Congratulations ♥️ try not to read into whether it’s faint or not, a positive is a positive and everyone’s HCG levels are different this early on x

Sandwichesandwine · 18/03/2024 19:34

I was just going to say the same as @mamataylor! Definite lines there. Congratulations 🥰

Retailchick · 18/03/2024 20:26

Have had some light pink spotting just now which i usually get before my period so that has just dashed my confidence that this could be the real deal… I will wait to test again in the morning / see what happens with my period over the next few days. I’ve just never had a positive during a natural cycle before… will keep you posted x
