TTC after ectopic/after loss/older age etc ALL WELCOME 🙂

Hello,

Would anyone like to join a thread for TTC after ectopic/miscarriage, or when facing other challenges eg age, PCOS etc? DP and I have just decided to try again for no2, and I'm going to come off the pill. It would be nice to have some buddies to share experiences and support each other 🙂

About me:

Pregnancy 1: conceived first cycle age 35, healthy pregnancy, DS born summer 2021 (now age 2)

Pregnancy 2: conceived first cycle age 37, ectopic, surgery November 2022

My plan is to eat well, exercise, cut out alcohol, and generally look after myself.

Because I got pregnant quickly both times, I'm hoping our chances are still good...no idea how only having the one fallopian tube is going to affect things 😬

I think I'll do OPKs but not sure about temping yet.

Oh god it's such an embarrassing squinter though. Ok, please don't judge me 😬 I'm sitting in DSs room while he goes to sleep, might see if I can get a better photo than this. I won't be offended if you can't see anything... I know I've got the worst line-eyes (as in, seeing imaginary lines).

No judgement here I see it! You’re only 8dpo now right? So it wouldn’t be a glaringly obvious line anyway.

@MrsB2019x I'd say try another. A couple of cycles ago I had 2 easy@home in a row that had two lines after drying (the second might have appeared in the first 5 mins but screaming toddler meant I couldn't wait that time) the second darker than the first. Though AF appeared shortly after the second so I counted it as a chemical. Might have been evaps but I'd never had them in this whole batch of 30 tests and never had them since.

Actually the tests weren't even dry - they were still wet, it was just after the 5-10 mins wait time.

@Confusedddddddd Yeah I’ll definitely try another tomorrow, I’m fairly certain it’s nothing though just a dodgy test

Thanks @MrsB2019x and @Confusedddddddd boobs are definitely more sore today than they were yesterday. But we'll see. There are so many clear blue evap threads around on here too!

Weird one this morning ladies…
So my test took a lot longer than usual for the dye to reach the results window (9 seconds instead of 5) and it seemed wet for ages.
The first pic was taken at 7 mins and the dye is still being pulled through the test. Second pic was taken at 15 mins once dry and the line is pink in person, doesn’t look it on camera though.
Thoughts?! 😩

@MrsB2019x hmm could be? There's definitely a line there. It's good it was there at 7min. Are you 10dpo now? Any symptoms?

Did another clearblue. It looked the same as yesterday's initially, but has dried with that classic dark thin evap line. So I'm treating them both as BFNs. Should get some wondfo delivered this afternoon...

@YellowZ Seen so many bad things about ClearBlue on here lately, it’s criminal! Hopefully your Wondfos will be more reliable. I think I’m gonna go out today and get the Boots early ones, seen good things about those on here

There's masses of evap examples if you Google. (Which naturally I have). Whereas the clearblue website is all like, any line is a positive, no matter how faint.

Boots tests sound like a good idea 🙂fingers crossed for a bfp!

@YellowZ everything crossed for you today with wondfo. So hard to tell with evap vs positive! Like you say, early days will lots of time for bfp to show itself.
@MrsB2019x that looks like a faint positive to me... All fingers crossed for you too!

My GP had said she thinks I should be eligible for blood tests for recurrent miscarriage as I've had 3, even though not in a row. Feeling strangely positive about this, something to focus on for the new year!

I reckon both of yours are positive. Tests are tested to ensure they don't produce a blue/pink line unless there is hcg in your body. These are really sensitive tests so will also pick up a day or two of hcg if the embryo tried to implant but failed. But then you'll start getting negative tests.

Though I have read on a hospital site that UTIs can also turn a sensitive test positive.

Tested again after a 3 hour hold, BFN on Boots but think I can still see a shadow on the Easy @ home? I’ll test again tomorrow with FMU

Just googled the boots ones @MrsB2019x and it looks like they are slightly less sensitive than the easy@home? Do you have a closeup of the easy@home test?

Amazon hasn't given a delivery window yet. They're just saying up to 10pm. So it depends what time my tests arrive... Fingers crossed they do come today! I'll definitely test if they come earlier in the evening. Just don't want to do an indefinite hold haha

Aw thanks @Confusedddddddd this is my test from this morning. It was looking like yesterday's to begin with. Then it turned into this mess at some point

Unfortunately DS won't go to sleep so I can go POAS. I've also had a pint of water since my last wee 🤦 amateur mistake. I must never drink again so I'm always POAS ready.

DS was horrific in the night too. He was up eating a banana at 3.30, awake from 3.00-4.30 in the end. It's like he's trying to put me off getting pregnant by reminding me what bad sleep deprivation is like.

Quick update from me... had my scan on 21st... Was petrified... But, Babba was in the right place and there was a heartbeat! Still early days but at least it's a bit of breathing room for Christmas 💕

@YellowZ Typical isn’t it 🙈 my DD would be well jealous, she often wakes in the night asking for a ‘snackie’ 😂 maybe hold now and do it at 5:00ish?
