Hello all,

A new cycle unfortunately started for me today. I really thought last cycle was going to be the one but unfortunately not the case and AF has shown her ugly face!

I had an early miscarriage in early September and this was the first cycle back TTC #1

Just wondering if anyone wants to join on the journey this month - always nice to be able to speak to people in the same situation!

Baby dust to all x

Hello ladies! Lovely to hear from you both!

Sorry to see you've got a lot going on at the moment @rosecbrm , but as you said everything happens for a reason and everything will fall into place when the time is right. 🤍🤍 lots of love to you though as it is really tough mentally to process everything especially when your heart was so set on TTC.

Glad to hear everything is going well with you @MaryHua too! We had a surprise for gender when we had our first, it was lovely and the most amazing thing so I recommend to everyone if they can wait then definitely do. We are also doing the same this time as it'll be our last baby🤍

rosecbrm · 29/02/2024 14:23

@MaryHua @Biscuitsarelife1 thanks ladies, really appreciate the support!

Also super exciting that you're both waiting to find out the gender! That will be so lovely when the time comes.

Take care both xx

Ah that's exciting @Biscuitsarelife1 that you're also waiting to find out! Sometimes I feel like the only one who still wants to do it these days. But I'm glad it was a lovely experience for you last time so I'm now very determined to stick to my original plan. 😊
How many weeks are you now? X

Biscuitsarelife1 · 29/02/2024 15:07

@MaryHua I'm 15 weeks on Sunday so 14+4 (?) at the moment. How about you?

MaryHua · 06/03/2024 23:16

Hi so sorry @Biscuitsarelife1 I missed the notification for your message so have only just seen it! As of today I am 17 weeks. Still haven't felt anything.
How is your pregnancy going? Any symptoms? X

rosecbrm · 21/03/2024 18:51

@MaryHua @emmatcc1 how are you both doing? Have you found out your genders yet? Xx

OP posts:
MaryHua · 21/03/2024 19:05

Hiya @rosecbrm !
Thanks for messaging! Doing well, baby kicking now. 20 week scan on Monday.
We are not going to find out gender to leave it a surprise for the birth. I think @Biscuitsarelife1 is the same? 💙💗

How are you keeping? Did you get any further ahead with your MMR vaccines?

rosecbrm · 21/03/2024 19:07

@MaryHua sorry yes you did say that! Glad you're doing well 💘

No further, we haven't been TTC for two months just to have a break and I started my new job this week. Had my 21 day bloods done today to measure my progesterone!

I really want to start TTC again soon, however this sounds ridiculous but I'm scared of what my new job is going to think of me if I end up getting pregnant quickly after not being there so long!

OP posts:
rosecbrm · 21/03/2024 19:08

Also no further with the MMR, I was waiting for the doctor to give me the go ahead for it but haven't heard anything yet!

OP posts:
MaryHua · 23/03/2024 11:25

How is the new job going @rosecbrm ? Congrats on the new start ☺️
I completely understand your concerns and it's so common that women worry about their workplace and announcing the pregnancy. It's so awful that that is still the culture but at the end of the day, it doesn't matter what they think. It's your life and you have to do what is right for your family and go for what you want. A baby is a much more long-term vision than a job so don't let anyone get you down about it. And rant away here if they do!!

Fingers crossed you get the updated injection soon so you can get past this stage and continue TTC when you're ready xxx

rosecbrm · 23/03/2024 13:37

@MaryHua really well thank you lovely, I'm really enjoying it!

Thank you so much, I really needed to hear that. I just worry cause you don't ever want to give a bad impression or anything like that, but you're right this is so much more important.

Thank you ❤️

Hello both! Sorry have missed a lot of these posts! Everything is good with me, 18 weeks tomorrow- we're currently on our honeymoon/ended up doubling as a babymoon which has been lovely and nice to spend time with our toddler before we turn into a 4!! I'm not finding out the gender either although super tempted, husband has persuaded me not to as it was the best surprise last time.

Glad to hear you are both okay- @MaryHua that your pregnancy is going well, and @rosecbrm that you're enjoying your new job and hopefully able to get some answers on your MMR soon! If it's any help, I was promoted in Feb when my work didn't know I was pregnant and was so worried about telling them. My boss was lovely when I did tell her and over the moon for me and hasn't made any difference to the promotion or way they've been with me! Life always comes first in my eyes and they really cannot say anything xx

MaryHua · 23/03/2024 21:26

Hey @Biscuitsarelife1 lovely to hear from you and your updates!! Congrats on wedding and honeymoon and also your promotion ☺️ so lovely that you're getting that break away, second trimester glow well timed! Hope the pregnancy is going well for you.

@rosecbrm 100%... and remember as well that many of who we work with also have kids so have perhaps felt the way you feel at some point or other. It's your right to have a child. Our workplaces will carry on and there should be no judgment. You won't be letting anyone down. It's just part of life, as @Biscuitsarelife1 says xxx

rosecbrm · 25/03/2024 21:03

@Biscuitsarelife1 @MaryHua ladies I cannot believe it, I randomly did a test tonight as haven't had spotting like I usually do and it's a BFP.

I'm in complete shock! I wasn't tracking anything at all, we had sex once in what I assume was my fertile period and that's it! I literally cannot believe it. So happy.

But I'm also scared for a number of reasons now, what if it ends up like my last pregnancy, I've literally JUST started my new job last week and I've also had my progesterone level back from my day 21 bloods and it is slightly below the normal range (which I knew!). Help ahhhhh!!!

MaryHua · 25/03/2024 22:54

@rosecbrm OMG!!!!
That's amazing! Tentative but huge congratulations.

A positive is a positive, and that's what we need to focus on for now.
The outcome of previous pregnancies shouldn't have any fore-bearing on the outcome of this one because if I remember rightly there was nothing spotted at your anatomical scans etc that were alarming.

Honestly I am so so so happy for you.
Don't you worry at all about your new job, that will work itself out. Just focus on keeping yourself well, taking your supplements now and getting the necessary appointments set up. The rest will all fall into place.
Also, I'm so over the moon for you, have been crossing all my fingers and toes for you but didn't realise that it would happen so soon for you with all that's been going on. But all it takes is just 1 sperm and bingo!
If you are feeling overwhelmed or want to chat, reach out to us here. Apologies it takes so long to read these messages at times - my notifications are so delayed for mumsnet. If you fancied connecting via fb or WhatsApp let me know - but obviously no pressure there whatsoever. I know it can be a very personal and private time.
Congratulations hunny 💗♥️💗

rosecbrm · 25/03/2024 22:56

@MaryHua thank you so much lovely, I really needed to hear that!

You guys have been amazingly supportive throughout this whole process, all whilst having your own pregnancies to worry about so thank you so much.

Absolutely, would love to connect on Facebook or WhatsApp! Be great to have someone to chat to through all of this ❤️❤️❤️

OP posts:
MaryHua · 26/03/2024 14:20

@rosecbrm aw no problem at all! It's been so lovely chatting with you both too, and sharing our journeys.

Just got on a late lunch break at work but have been thinking about your good news this morning and couldn't wait to message again today. How are you feeling? How many weeks do you think you are about? 4 or 5?

Not really sure how to go about connecting, but is there an instant message service at all on mumsnet? I still don't really know how to navigate my way around haha! If not then you can add me on fb if you'd like - it's Sarah Hua (I'm the profile pic with just me holding a glass of fizz in the African plains haha). Again no pressure whatsoever to add me. Just figured fb might be safer way of sharing my contact rather than posting my mobile number here

rosecbrm · 26/03/2024 15:37

@MaryHua thank you so much lovely, I've just added you on Facebook (hopefully got the right account!)

Going off when my last period starts (1st March) I am suuuuuuper early, 3 weeks and 5 days! I'm feeling good, got lower back and pelvic ache, literally feels like I'm about to come on... but I think that's normal? I technically haven't even missed my period yet, I'm due on in 2/3 days but no spotting as of yet, hoping it stays that way!

I spoke to my dr about my progesterone levels this morning and she's sent if off to obstetrics to review whether any action is needed. She didn't seem concerned as my levels were only slightly lower at 26.7 and the ideal level is 30 and over xx

OP posts:
MaryHua · 26/03/2024 15:40

Hey @rosecbrm think I've confirmed the right person. Can you let me know?

Oh that's still super exciting that a BFP showed up so early on the tests. Was it a strong second line? I took mine 3 days before my period was due and got my positive so it happens all the time.
Glad you got a blood test too, but sounds like you're on the way!

I also had period like cramps around the time but I took all that as further implantation 🤞♥️

rosecbrm · 26/03/2024 15:44

@MaryHua yes that's it! Amazing 🥰

It was quite faint tbh, but if I'm going off when I usually ovulate I'm only around 10/11 do. I'll attach a picture! Top was yesterday evening (super faint!) and bottom was this morning. They seem darker in person but are still so faint none the less. I've got a clear blue early digital coming today so I'll do that tomorrow maybe!!

Amazing that's really reassuring, the doctor said this morning that is really normal but you can help but think the worst sometimes! Xxx

@rosecbrm defo positive tests there! Mine looked similar and I tested positive at 3 weeks 5 days as well so exactly the same as you. My digital showed positive on the same day so chances are your's might too!

Ahhh this is so exciting!
All 3 of us due in 2024. A lovely wee bundle to arrive in your house @rosecbrm just before Christmas?! ♥️♥️♥️

Biscuitsarelife1 · 27/03/2024 02:58

@rosecbrm oh wow! This is amazing, congratulations! Keep us posted on the clear blue test! I highly recommend the boots early test- I took mine on period day and the line was so strong so a lot more reassuring!

rosecbrm · 27/03/2024 08:10

@Biscuitsarelife1 thank you so much my lovely, I hope you're ok?

I had a positive digital last night so I'm chuffed about that!
