Hello all,

A new cycle unfortunately started for me today. I really thought last cycle was going to be the one but unfortunately not the case and AF has shown her ugly face!

I had an early miscarriage in early September and this was the first cycle back TTC #1

Just wondering if anyone wants to join on the journey this month - always nice to be able to speak to people in the same situation!

Baby dust to all x

Hi @rosecbrm how are you today lovely? Just catching up on these messages from yesterday.
Very upsetting about the dodgy tests.
Did AF turn up? X

rosecbrm · 30/12/2023 17:06

@MaryHua hey lovely, no af yet! Tests are still giving the same results, not sure what's going on! I imagine af will turn up in the next few days

Thanks for checking in xx

I've also realised I could be anywhere between 9-12 dpo, we will see! Xx

MaryHua · 30/12/2023 17:45

So the tests are still giving faint lines? Have you taken a boots one?
You're definitely not out this month... fingers crossed @rosecbrm x

rosecbrm · 30/12/2023 17:54

@MaryHua yes but when they're wet they're barely noticeable. I haven't done one today as we've come away - good distraction!

I've done a boots early one and I'm sure it's negative but I have bad line eyes! Will do a final test when we get home in a few days - if af doesn't show before then!

I've not been getting period cramps like I usually would, more like niggly pulling feelings! It's hard to know what's going on because I don't know when I ovulated, I'm just going off when I had EWCM! X

OP posts:
MaryHua · 30/12/2023 23:14

@rosecbrm ah well it's worth while holding off the testing anyway for another day or two to get a more accurate result.
Niggly pulling feelings were what I had too in the days leading up to when AF was due.

You just never know 🤞

rosecbrm · 30/12/2023 23:26

@MaryHua unfortunately I think AF is starting, my spotting has got darker and more regular.

Bought some different conceptions tablets for this month and the clear blue ovulation tests so we'll see how we go with those.

Husband has said if nothing again this month we'll go for a private fertility scan and tests just to rule out anything that could be preventing us from conceiving again since our miscarriage in September.

I can't moan too much as we've only been TTC 4 months and 1 on them we did get pregnant but unfortunately didn't work out. Hopefully it's just a case of my body re-adjusting or something.

Hopefully January is the one - going to stay positive!

Thank you for being there! X

MaryHua · 31/12/2023 01:31

@rosecbrm ah sorry to hear that.
Sounds like you've got a very supportive husband and a good plan of action in place.
Having had a fertility scan I can confirm that it does bring good peace of mind or at least indicators of anything else that's not quite right so well worth it.
Clearblue digital smiley face tests were accurate and worked well for me, so I'd definitely recommend getting a box to try to see how you get on.
Best of luck next month, will be thinking of you xx

rosecbrm · 31/12/2023 06:36

@MaryHua thanks lovely. Super confused again tbh as woke up this morning and spottings completely stopped again!

I've not had a proper red/heavy bleed yet. My spotting has just been very on and off the past 2/3 days and ranging from light pink/brown to a darker pink last night, been super light, hardly there most of the time. Super confused!

How bizarre @rosecbrm
Must be driving you crazy just wanting to know now! Keep us posted xx

rosecbrm · 31/12/2023 12:11

@MaryHua definitely will. Thanks lovely! Will do a test when I'm home tomorrow if nothing further develops xx

Happy new year to you both!

@rosecbrm how are you getting on lovely, any updates?! Xx

rosecbrm · 01/01/2024 14:11

Happy new year ladies!!

@Biscuitsarelife1 I've come on my period today I think unfortunately - I was expecting it but what a roller coaster month!

Going to try keep positive for January. My husband keeps saying I need to give myself time, especially after the miscarriage. Doesn't help when I'm super impatient!

I know we'll get there one day hopefully 🤞🏼

Hope you're both well 🥰 xx

Biscuitsarelife1 · 01/01/2024 14:17

@rosecbrm ah I'm sorry to hear that- I hope you're doing OK! My husband was the exact same and kept telling me to stop being impatient which is easier said than done. Lots of baby dust for the months ahead ✨

MaryHua · 01/01/2024 15:00

Happy new year to you both @rosecbrm and @Biscuitsarelife1

Sorry to hear about AF arriving. But at least you know now and no more waiting.
Such a rollercoaster as you say and nature isn't fair the way it teases at times!
My husband is exactly the same - telling me to be patient. But we have to remember they don't have the surge of hormones every time we expect our period etc. so they cannot comprehend our yearning.

It's still very early days and the odds are very much in your favour @rosecbrm to conceive and have a healthy baby. So in all likelihood you will be celebrating in the coming months xx

rosecbrm · 13/01/2024 09:56

@MaryHua @Biscuitsarelife1 hello ladies, hope you're both doing okay?

I just wanted to update you guys, I went for a pelvic fertility scan this morning (assuming similar to what you had @MaryHua) just to check all was ok etc and everything's checking out exactly as it should!

Currently CD13, she can see that I have a slightly larger follicle on my left ovary which she thinks I will ovulate from in the next few days so that's very reassuring!

I have a doctors appointment Wednesday to discuss my hormone levels, as I'm not sure if the MC/spotting is linked to having low progesterone, but we'll see what they say!

Hope you're pregnancies are going well xx

Biscuitsarelife1 · 13/01/2024 10:12

@rosecbrm hello lovely! Was actually going to post on here today to see how you was getting on! Glad to hear the scan went well and everything is looking as it should and definitely a good idea to go to the doctors to check hormones then you can feel confident everything is all as it should be when you're trying. I weirdly never had spotting before periods at all before, only in the months we started it trying which is odd- no idea why!

And I'm doing OK, this pregnancy is a lot tougher than the first not sure if it's because I have a crazy two year old to chase after, but the fatigue is next level, and had a fair bit of sickness. I have an early scan today just to get some reassurance all is OK so can update you guys later :) x

MaryHua · 13/01/2024 12:14

Hiya both!! @rosecbrm @Biscuitsarelife1

Lovely to check in with you guys.
I'm so glad that you got the scan @rosecbrm to be able to get that peace of mind that there is nothing anatomically standing in your way. That's a huge relief!
Let us know how you get on at the doctor's!

Best of luck @Biscuitsarelife1 for your early scan today! I'm sure all will be well, sounds like your fatigue and sickness are all good signs even if they are tough to live with.

I'm good, extremely tired as well and have had bad nausea but it seems to be easing now as I'm getting closer to 10 weeks. Thank goodness because it's debilitating! I really take my hat off to those women who have other kids to look after- I don't know how you manage it!! X

Biscuitsarelife1 · 13/01/2024 18:50

Scan was all good- heart beating nicely and measuring slightly ahead at 8 weeks!

MaryHua · 14/01/2024 03:49

That's wonderful @Biscuitsarelife1
A lovely relief to get to 8 weeks and see the heartbeat.
Hope you don't have too many severe symptoms.
I'm currently experiencing insomnia which explains why I'm replying at this strange time!

rosecbrm · 14/01/2024 16:30

@MaryHua @Biscuitsarelife1 thank you lovelies.

Glad you're both doing okay (apart from the PG symptoms!) and pregnancies are going well.

Hopefully I can join you on the journey soon 🤞🏼 x

Hello both!
@rosecbrm @Biscuitsarelife1
Hope you're well. How is everything? X

Biscuitsarelife1 · 25/01/2024 06:01

@MaryHua thanks for checking in! I'm okay thank you, sickness is starting to ease but still very very tired. Have my first midwife appt tomorrow. How about you? X

rosecbrm · 25/01/2024 08:08

@MaryHua hey lovely, I'm okay thanks! 6/7dpo today. Hope you're both well xx

OP posts:
MaryHua · 25/01/2024 08:30

Good to hear that things are starting to settle @Biscuitsarelife1 - the nausea has been the worst part for me. And the exhaustion.
Good luck with your booking in appointment!
I have my 12 week scan (though I'm more like 11+2 as I ovulated late) tomorrow and I'm very nervous about it...

@rosecbrm how are you feeling about this month? Did you use OPKs? Fingers crossed and baby dust ✨
