Hello all,

A new cycle unfortunately started for me today. I really thought last cycle was going to be the one but unfortunately not the case and AF has shown her ugly face!

I had an early miscarriage in early September and this was the first cycle back TTC #1

Just wondering if anyone wants to join on the journey this month - always nice to be able to speak to people in the same situation!

Baby dust to all x

Hmmm no sign of AF and haven't had any spotting like I've had the last couple of months but have had cramping and usual twinges. I still really don't think I am this month but like 10% of me is thinking what if i am?! I have a work lunch tomorrow with drinking - if I don't come on by tomorrow morning do I get a test?!

Biscuitsarelife1 · 19/12/2023 09:47

Nothing still- off to get a test as out for lunch in two hours!!

Biscuitsarelife1 · 19/12/2023 10:01

Holy f*- I'm pregnant

Omg omg omg @Biscuitsarelife1 !!!! That's amazing news!!! Congratulations 🎉
Delighted for you.
Welcome to the baby club!
What would your estimated due date be?
This is amazing news for a month of "not trying"

Biscuitsarelife1 · 19/12/2023 18:17

Thank you @MaryHua I am in complete shock. Apparently 27th August ?! But my date changed 3 times the first time and he ended up being a week early anyway

MaryHua · 19/12/2023 18:38

Aww mad how my late ovulation means that our due date is actually in the same month (I'm thinking 14th august for me) despite this being the next cycle for you.

Any symptoms?

@rosecbrm any news lovely? X

MaryHua · 19/12/2023 18:39

Also I take it you had to come up with a fast excuse to miss out on the boozy lunch @Biscuitsarelife1 ? 😅😅

Biscuitsarelife1 · 19/12/2023 19:25

@MaryHua strange isn't it! I ovulate early too, usually day ten so my cycles are slightly shorter. But honestly take the date with a pinch of salt. My first due date just calculated on dates was 9th Nov, then after my early reassurance scan it went to 6th Nov, then my NHS scan 3rd Nov! Made his appearance 27th Oct so all fun and games haha

I've got very sore boobs, feel a bit queasy which I'm expecting. The morning sickness at 6 weeks hit haaaard which is great so can't wait for that again lol- all worth it though. And just twinging and cramping which I had last time too! Hoping to get an early scan for mid Jan when I'll be 7/8 weeks. How are you doing?

Biscuitsarelife1 · 19/12/2023 19:26

@MaryHua still went to the lunch but didn't drink! Wasn't the only one and no one batted an eye lid luckily

rosecbrm · 19/12/2023 19:26

@Biscuitsarelife1 ahhhh omg! That's amazing news, congratulations lovely! So pleased for you!!

@MaryHua no new for me lovely, I am assuming?? I am 1/2dpo maybe? Haven't got high hopes for this cycle as my ovulation was all over the place, who even knows if I did ovulate!!?

MaryHua · 19/12/2023 23:57

@Biscuitsarelife1 glad that you didn't have to explain yourself at the lunch. But your mind must have kept going back to your pregnancy every second thought. For the first week I couldn't focus on anything else.

Hiya @rosecbrm
Thankfully you have Christmas and new year to help with the 2WW now, and you just never know.

I'm doing ok, feeling a bit less nervous this week which is strange? But I think it coincides with increased symptoms. My boobs are only just starting to ache now, I have nausea in the mornings and I'm very tired. Was at a meal tonight with the neighbours and I could barely keep my eyes open after 9pm!
Just over a week to go until my early scan - hoping that I'll see a heartbeat as I'll be 6W+ 6 or 7 weeks by then... 🤞

rosecbrm · 20/12/2023 08:02

@MaryHua very true! Hopefully it'll keep my mind occupied. It's hubbys birthday at the end of the month too so there's lots going on.

I'm glad you're doing ok! So exciting that your scan is so soon x

Thank you @rosecbrm and honestly you just never know what will happen this month! Keep us posted!!

rosecbrm · 20/12/2023 08:18

@Biscuitsarelife1 definitely will do! It helps not knowing what DPO I am so the resistance to testing is hopefully going to be strong!

Would be nice to have this thread with all 3 of us having a positive outcome 🤞🏼 x

Biscuitsarelife1 · 21/12/2023 10:37

Merry Christmas to you both!! And everything crossed for you @rosecbrm ✨✨🤞🏼

rosecbrm · 23/12/2023 19:39

Random question ladies @MaryHua @Biscuitsarelife1

Did either of you get what feels like mild period pains prior to your BFPs? I'm worried that even though my ovulation was late, I'm still going to come on my period when I was originally due which would be within the next few days, thus obviously my luteal phase not being long enough!

If I had to guess, I would assume I'm anywhere between 4/5/6 dpo?

Hope you're both feeling ok xx

OP posts:
Biscuitsarelife1 · 23/12/2023 19:49

@rosecbrm I had period like cramping yes! And still do and I remember having it for the first few weeks I've knowing. Both times I've now had my BFPs I had cramping before like period. Nothing major or too painful but was absolutely convinced I was going to come on, the only thing that was different for me this month to the other 3 was my CM drying up completely and being a lot less, then a few days of it being a little creamy, and no spotting the few days before. Really hope it's good news for you 🤞🏼

rosecbrm · 23/12/2023 20:04

@Biscuitsarelife1 thank you my lovely, I guess I'll just keep an eye on it. I'm not feeling to hopeful but I just really hope my late ovulation makes my luteal phase shorter than what it already is! X

OP posts:
MaryHua · 23/12/2023 22:00

@rosecbrm yes I had period like cramping before my BFP and immediately counted myself out. But low and behold!
Keep us posted and best of luck xx

rosecbrm · 23/12/2023 23:18

@MaryHua can you remember when you had it? I feel like the fact I'm having it now would be way too early for it to actually be anything, other than AF!

OP posts:
MaryHua · 26/12/2023 18:10

Hello @rosecbrm sorry it's taken a while to see this message. Had come off mumsnet for Christmas to try and minimise the worry!

I don't recall exactly when I felt the cramps but I believe it was for about 4 days before AF was due. But then again I couldn't tell exactly when AF would have been due because of my late ovulation and my luteal phase varied month to month.
How are you feeling?

Hope you've both had a lovely Christmas 🎄

rosecbrm · 26/12/2023 19:52

@MaryHua no worries lovely! Hope you're okay, when is your scan again?

I'm at the same point, no idea when af is due cause of late ovulation!
I'm all good thanks still feeling relaxed! No signs of af yet which is good, I would imagine I'm around 9dpo ish maybe??

We had a lovely day thanks, hope you did too!
