Hello all,

A new cycle unfortunately started for me today. I really thought last cycle was going to be the one but unfortunately not the case and AF has shown her ugly face!

I had an early miscarriage in early September and this was the first cycle back TTC #1

Just wondering if anyone wants to join on the journey this month - always nice to be able to speak to people in the same situation!

Baby dust to all x

@rosecbrm are you thinking of testing soon or just going to wait it out? I know not always the case but I always found AF would exactly 14 days after I had ovulation pains (assuming that was when I actually was ovulating), so last month when I had the pains a day earlier than predicted on the calendar, I knew AF would come a day early and it did! Might help you to calculate?

rosecbrm · 26/12/2023 19:58

@Biscuitsarelife1 thanks lovely, good point! My luteal phase is quite short at like 12 days with some spotting before.. so a few days to go I guess!

Hope you're okay lovely x

@rosecbrm I see- well hopefully this is your month!! I never usually had spotting before AF until we started TTC in September (really weird!) but didn't have any at all this month. And I'm good thank you, just the usual early weeks of pregnancy anxieties, can't wait to be able to go for an early scan but probably still another 2.5 weeks until I'm about 7 weeks! I did a digital CB yesterday with the dates and I was positive and 2-3 weeks so it is progressing which is a good sign! and my boobs are sooo sore, super bloated and feeling very nauseous. All good signs but still have lots of stretching and light cramping (which I know is normal)

MaryHua · 26/12/2023 20:13

My scan is tomorrow!! 🫣
Appetite has suffered this week and I'm feeling nauseous quite a lot of the day. Have barely been able to touch my Christmas dinner!!
I think a lot of it is anxiety for tomorrow too. But I will update here.

Fingers crossed this is your month @rosecbrm - you just never know!! X ✨

rosecbrm · 26/12/2023 20:14

@Biscuitsarelife1 that's interesting to know!

Glad you're okay, at least the symptoms (as rubbish as they may be!) are signs everything is progressing.

Hopefully this month is the month, but who knows.. I'm not overly positive!

Have you got the scan booked?

OP posts:
rosecbrm · 26/12/2023 20:15

@MaryHua ahhh please keep us updated on the scan, is it early or in the afternoon?

Can't believe how quickly it's gone already!! X

OP posts:
MaryHua · 26/12/2023 21:52

It's at 12.40pm tomorrow @rosecbrm
I'm all nerves! And it's gone by quickly but oh so slowly at the same time! 😂
I've got my mum and my husband coming with me tomorrow so I'm grateful for that. My mum is a midwife x

rosecbrm · 26/12/2023 23:42

@MaryHua amazing! Ahh that must be reassuring to have your mum who really does know what she's talking about!

@MaryHua how did it go lovely? X

Hiya @rosecbrm
Sorry it's taken me a while to reply! I was driving back to my hometown and there were so many diversions! 😅
But all went well. Measuring 7 weeks which is bang on from when I ovulated and seen the heartbeat, so I can relax a little bit now!
It was a very emotional half hour to say the least!

Biscuitsarelife1 · 27/12/2023 16:35

@MaryHua so pleased it went well and you were able to see a heartbeat! Really good news

rosecbrm · 27/12/2023 18:09

@MaryHua ahhh so pleased for you! That's amazing news x

I think I'm around 9/10dpo maybe.. no testing yet but cramps & slighty sore boobs, but that's normal for me pre AF anyway! Might test in the morning🤔

rosecbrm · 28/12/2023 09:24

@MaryHua @Biscuitsarelife1 thought I had what was a VVFL on a boots early test and wondfo this morning, but just went to the toilet and had very slight light pink spotting which is what I usually get before AF. Gonna take it as not successful this month 🙁

Going to take a little break from mumsnet, wish you both all the best with your pregnancies! X

Hi @rosecbrm
I know you may not see this now, but I'm thinking of you.
A very faint line could still be a line and until AF arrives nothing can be ruled out. Have everything crossed for you, but most of all, take the time you need to just step back and look after yourself.
Maybe speak to you in the new year once you've had space.
Take care lovely x

Biscuitsarelife1 · 28/12/2023 16:00

@rosecbrm thinking of you lovely. Hope all OK and speak to you when you're ready 🤍

rosecbrm · 28/12/2023 16:50

@Biscuitsarelife1 @MaryHua thank you both, my spotting was literally once when wiping and has fully stopped now so I'm a little bit more hopefully again.

I did another test this afternoon and another faint line on that actually dried a lot darker, but could be an evap. Will test in the morning and let you guys know x

OP posts:
Biscuitsarelife1 · 28/12/2023 19:12

@rosecbrm keep us updated! Everything crossed for you

MaryHua · 28/12/2023 21:29

Oh do keep us posted @rosecbrm - really have everything crossed for that line to get darker for you. Are you using FRER?
Can you estimate how many DPO you might be?
That spotting could very well be implantation bleeding.
Get a good rest tonight and test again in the morning x

rosecbrm · 28/12/2023 22:38

@MaryHua @MaryHua thanks both will do!

These are the tests I've done today, they've obviously dried a lot darker than what I thought I could originally see, I'm pretty sure it's a dodgy batch of tests as my spotting has started again!

Will test again in the morning if AF hasn't showed before x

@rosecbrm that's most definitely a line!!!
Oh the wait must be excruciating.
Tomorrow you will know. Take care xx

Biscuitsarelife1 · 29/12/2023 07:43

@rosecbrm can definitely see lines on those! Let us know how you got on this morning testing xx

rosecbrm · 29/12/2023 07:55

@Biscuitsarelife1 @MaryHua hello both, no progression since yesterday, I think it's a dodgy batch of tests because when the test is wet it's hardly visible!

OP posts:
Biscuitsarelife1 · 29/12/2023 07:57

@rosecbrm oh I'm so sorry lovely, that's super bad too on the tests! Perhaps if no sign of AF soon you could try a different brand? X

rosecbrm · 29/12/2023 08:01

@Biscuitsarelife1 thank you lovely, I'm not as upset as I thought I would be, just taking it as this month isn't our one!

I've not had any spotting this morning YET but I do think AF will show. I've got some more boots tests that I'll try tomorrow if nothing x
