Hello all,

A new cycle unfortunately started for me today. I really thought last cycle was going to be the one but unfortunately not the case and AF has shown her ugly face!

I had an early miscarriage in early September and this was the first cycle back TTC #1

Just wondering if anyone wants to join on the journey this month - always nice to be able to speak to people in the same situation!

Baby dust to all x

I’ll be joining on Friday/Saturday when af is due. When do you usually ovulate?

@emmatcc1 amazing, nice to have someone on the same journey.

Will it be your first month TTC?

I usually ovulate around CD15! What about you? X

I'm CD2 on cycle 3 of TTC for our second! Ovulate around CD11/12 as slightly shorter cycle

I’m CD2 and next month will be our first month trying again after an ectopic in August. Feeling a mixture of emotions so will be good to share the journey with others!

@rosecbrm No when af arrives I’ll be going into cycle 17 of ttc. My ovulation is usually on cd13-14.

@Biscuitsarelife1 cycle 3 for me too! How long are your cycles?

@Lostlawyer26 so sorry to hear about your ectopic! Definitely good to share the journey, I find it helps take some on the anxiety away!

@emmatcc1 ahh I see, how long are your cycles?

Hoping for a positive cycle for us all x

@rosecbrm It depends when I ovulate but after that af starts exactly 14 days after ovulation I’m never late or early.
What about you?

@rosecbrm mine are usually between 26-28 days. I have quite a short luteal phase at 11 days x

@rosecbrm seem to be around 24/25 days. I got pregnant the first month of trying with my first so naively thought it would happen the same this time round although I know 3 cycles is not a long time at all!

rosecbrm · 02/11/2023 07:37

@Biscuitsarelife1 I'm pretty similar tbh, got pregnant the first month of trying although ended in mc!

I thought naively too that it would happen again straight away, but of course it didn't. We'll get there though 🤞🏼 x

Hey there! I am currently 13 DPO and just got a BFN. 😞 pretty sure I’m out this month AF is due tomorrow! It will be my 4 month ttc. Would love to come on this journey this month with you and feel so alone!

I'll join, I'm counting today as CD1 as I've got the telltale very brown/almost red discharge that I usually get right before a period. Tested yesterday at 12dpo and again this morning at 13dpo and both negative.

It's almost been a year since we started trying and I'm feeling kind of numb, very much have the feeling of "why even bother testing, of course I'm not going to be pregnant" for the past few months. Have had 2 chemicals. Will test again in the morning unless AF properly shows.

I'm sorry to hear about your miscarriage @rosecbrm , there really are no words of comfort, so will send you a hug instead. xx

@Smile2134 welcome! Definitely nice to have someone to share the journey with!

@MademoiselleFrenglish thanks you; so sorry to hear about your chemicals too. It really doesn't get any easier, I definitely feel your pain!

Baby dust to everyone for this cycle xxx

Af started for me yesterday evening and 2 days early so I’m cd2. Ovulation is due around the 14th and I’m hoping to be more relaxed this cycle.

@rosecbrm It doesn't, does it. This cycle has hit me way harder than any other recently, very weird considering I wasn't enthusiastic about testing. AF still hasn't shown after 2 days, it's just strong brown spotting, so who knows what's going on. I'm going to double my dosage of COQ10 this month, DH too, see if that makes a difference. Good luck to you, sending so much baby dust x

Totally agree it's nice to be able to speak to people in the same boat as I haven't really told anyone we are trying for number 2, although I am sure they think we are! The constant questioning 'when's the second one then!?' Is soooo annoying, like yes I am wondering when it's coming too!

Report
MademoiselleFrenglish · 03/11/2023 15:26

@Biscuitsarelife1 What do you respond to them? I'm trying for my first, so slightly different, but currently it feels like my options are either lying and say we're not trying, or saying we are trying and getting more and more questions about how long it's been etc. I don't particularly want anyone to know, but don't feel good lying either.

Biscuitsarelife1 · 03/11/2023 15:28

I just laugh and say we'll see!! Feel like everyone's just waiting for me to say we're having our second. It does get annoying though and I never thought that sort of thing would annoy me

Report
MademoiselleFrenglish · 03/11/2023 15:41

@Biscuitsarelife1 I'll give that a try, so far I've just mumbled something. It really is annoying isn't it! I also didn't think it would bother me so much but I get the desire to just yell at them whenever they do!

As our fertile windows approach, just wondered what everyone will be doing this month and if you'll be doing anything differently to previous? I'm not sure how else to increase our chances!

emmatcc1 · 04/11/2023 22:43

@Biscuitsarelife1 try not to stress if we dtd enough and not be so obsessive in the tww. I’m way past all the extra vitamins, holding legs in the air and no seat heating in the car.

Report
Lostlawyer26 · 04/11/2023 23:26

@Biscuitsarelife1 trying not to stress here too, although being our first month trying after the ectopic it’s easier said than done. Will also be ordering preseed or conceive plus.

Hi! Are you doing anything specific this cycle to try and up your chances?

AF buggered off yesterday for me, so I'm going to start with the OPKs tonight or tomorrow. I always start early because otherwise I sit there thinking that I could be ovulating early and miss my chance 🙄Am also taking a double dosage of COq10, and my usual folic acid and vitamin D. I read somewhere that dates and nuts are both good for fertility, and I seem to have become hooked on them lately, so am also eating them!

Hi @MademoiselleFrenglish

I'm CD8 at the moment and my AF is usually only 3 days... quite short. Haven't started my OPKs yet as I'm trying my best to not overthink this month but I always do! So I'll probably start testing from Friday...
The last 3 months we DTD on peak smiley face and the day after and maybe once or twice more in and around ovulation.
This month I'm thinking maybe just do it every second day and see what happens.
I take FA and vitamin D and have cut out wine but not much else.
That's interesting about the dates and nuts! Didn't know that and always worth trying!
Best of luck this month x
