@Khanga27 congratulations lovely! Unfortunately nerves are very much to be expected but hopefully you can find moments of joy and excitement too ❤️ New pregnancy, new start 😊 xx

Catson · 21/12/2023 09:07

Thanks @CurlyWurly1991 I thought it was low too but looking online, my trust seem to have 11 as a cut off when pregnant 🫠 I am super tired sick imagine I am feeling it. I am taking pregnacare that has iron in it but was thinking I'd get something else too

Lalaland13 · 21/12/2023 11:35

Wow !! That is a great line! Congrats - perfect Xmas gift!

Cressie2 · 21/12/2023 11:57

@Khanga27 I’m thrilled for you! What wonderful news before Christmas. Huge congratulations.

@SouthwestSis i hope you feel better soon and can rest up now that you’re in laws are on hand.

To everyone else, wishing you all the happiest Christmas and a positive and healthy New Year X

Hi everyone, little update from me - there is a little Baby in there with a strong heartbeat ❤️ I burst into tears when they told me!

Measuring a week behind what I thought but they didn't seem worried. Also, I am pretty sure I ovulated later than usual (wasn't tracking) because we only dtd CD17 and 19 and usually my peak opk is CD13/14. So hopefully that's not too much of a worry. Really trying to enjoy this positive moment. Still a long way from feeling safe as my MMC stopped developing at 7+5... But one day at a time. Right now, in this moment it's all as good as can be. Not ectopic. Not nothing there.... A bit of breathing space for Christmas 😊

Hope everyone is doing well x

RoseH36 · 21/12/2023 15:02

@Khanga27 congratulations! Keeping everything crossed for you x

I'll test again tomorrow or Saturday. Me and DH had a chat last night and agreed that if we aren't successful this month we'll get him a sperm test done in Jan. We've also agreed to put a deadline on how much longer we continue trying before accepting it may not happen for us. 15 months is a long time and perhaps we're just not destined to have another.

RoseH36 · 21/12/2023 15:09

@SnookyPook that's fantastic news. Long may it continue for you 🥰

Favofit · 21/12/2023 15:30

@SnookyPook that is the best news, so happy for you ❤️❤️❤️

So I caved and did a test… initial wave of happiness now replaced by anxiety because of what happened last time, and also disbelief in case it’s a dodgy test (should have done 2 types). Think I definitely need to keep that at bay. I’m 13dpo so I will do another test in a few days.

Congrats

jellyfish2210 · 21/12/2023 16:48

@SnookyPook congratulations! So exciting!

Angelsrose · 21/12/2023 20:30

Fantastic news @Khanga27 and @SnookyPook so pleased for both of you.

Cressie2 · 21/12/2023 22:04

So happy for you @SnookyPook, that’s such good news and what a relief for you. Once you see the heartbeat the chances of miscarriage rapidly drop but I can understand why you are still a little guarded. Such lovely news before Christmas and hope you’re doing well/not feeling too exhausted?

My early viability scan is tomorrow and feeling very nervous about it. If there’s no heartbeat would break me before Christmas but praying it will all be ok too and then I can breathe a little as well 🤞🏻

@RoseH36 that seems like a good plan regarding the sperm test, I hear Hertility is good for couples too and hope that you receive good news soon 💕

SnookyPook · 21/12/2023 22:35

@Cressie2 aw I will be thinking of you tomorrow - how far along do you think you are? I was so nervous before hand that I felt like I was going to faint in the waiting room. It's horrible isn't it. In the end I tried to make peace with the fact that whatever was going on, was already going on, it would just be my knowledge of it that would change. Which might not be much comfort at all but helped me in a strange way. Everything crossed for you that you get good news and a bit of hope for Christmas 💕

Fullofconfusion · 22/12/2023 01:11

@SnookyPook I’m so pleased for you. That’s just brilliant news. I hope you’re doing well.

@Khanga27 congratulations!! Keeping everything crossed for you. What a lovely Christmas present

I’m going to try OPKs this month so that I can get an idea of what’s going on as my cycles have been super long. When do I start testing? Flo predicts ovulation around day 22 but it’s just guessing from my previous long cycles. I’m thinking I need to start testing way before then but I don’t really know

RoseH36 · 22/12/2023 07:49

@Cressie2 good luck! I've not heard of hertility so will have a look.

@Fullofconfusion it will tell you if you get the Clearblue ones when to start testing as it's based on your average cycle length, with day 1 being your first full day of bleeding. I start testing I'm day 7 for mine which is usually a 27 day cycle.

Supertrooper101 · 22/12/2023 08:33

@RoseH36 ive just done the hertility bloods. Got the results and very detailed report back within a week. It was £149... i fudged some answers to get the bloods that i wanted like dhea and testosterone. But you get your amh etc in it too so i thought it was a decent price for 10 bloods and full report advice etc 🙂

Bumblebee413 · 22/12/2023 08:36

@SnookyPook that’s so lovely to hear! What lovely news just before Christmas 🥰🥰

I have a suspicion that I may be ovulating, but in all honesty it’s a complete and utter mystery this cycle 😂😂 I’m on day 46, which is unheard of and I’ve had EWCM since Tuesday. I don’t have any OPK tests with me as I’m away for Christmas and I don’t actually think they’d help with my mental state too much at this point. I’ve had sore boobs for a week and I just feel like I’ve given up on AF arriving soon- it just doesn’t feel like she’s coming. I had my ninth (😂😂!!) negative test yesterday.

I chatted to my DH about it as it just felt so frustrating, stuck in limbo and then he suggested that I stop testing until New Year’s Eve, as hopefully I’ll have had my period before then or there might be some news. I’ve handed all my tests over to him as I didn’t want to be tempted and it just feels better to be honest. Like it’s even more out of my hands but as a conscious decision! X

RoseH36 · 22/12/2023 08:52

@Supertrooper101 Glad to hear it was good for you. I've had a look and didn't realise it was just for women. I've already had all my bloods etc checked by a consultant, it's DH we need checking.

@Bumblebee413 great idea handing the tests over, it's so hard not to be tempted to use one otherwise. Really hope AF turns up soon for you, or you get a positive on NYE, just something to let you know once way or another.

BFN again for me today. AF due Christmas Eve and so far no usual signs so just feel confused. I've had aches and twinges on and off all week although I know they don't mean anything. Decided if I'm definitely out this month then next month I'm taking progesterone from day 21. I was told to take it from a positive test which is why I've been testing earlier than I'd like to but it just adds to the not knowing. I've seen lots of other reports suggesting taking it from day 21 so figured if I do that I'll have no need to test early.

Bumblebee413 · 22/12/2023 18:38

Sounds like a plan @RoseH36. Fingers crossed- it’s not over until the fat red lady… um… sings….

RoseH36 · 22/12/2023 22:33

@Bumblebee413 very true, I've looked back at my last cycle and the evening before AF was due was when I had the line that was so faint I wasn't sure it was there. On this basis I've decided I've going to use a pessary tonight, I'd rather waste a couple of days of them than discover I am pregnant and regret not using them for a day or so. Why is all this TTC stuff so dam hard and confusing.

Cressie2 · 22/12/2023 23:06

Good move @RoseH36 I’m glad your consultant has checked your bloods and hope that they can help with DH too.

Thank you @SnookyPook, I was just like you in the waiting room and thankfully they found a heartbeat so I can breathe, for now. 7weeks + 1 day today. You must be around the same? I’m so happy but as you know, not out of the woods just yet.

I personally found it hard when I was trying to see others get their BFPs, so I don’t want to talk about my pregnancy on this forum anymore as it’s not really fair.

I wanted to say a huge thank you all for your support, which was really needed, and for being the platform I could go to, to vent my frustrations along the way.

You are all amazing women. Hope you all have a wonderful Christmas and sending loads of baby dust to you all over the next few months 💕💕💕

SouthwestSis · 23/12/2023 08:26

Huge congratulations @Khanga27 !
Can't wait to hear your updates over the next couple of months.
@Cressie2 don't worry too much, it's nice to see that there is hope I think for us over 35's!

My update was that my OPKs peaked on Wednesday but husband didn't feel well enough to BD until yesterday, will try and see if he's up for it again today but we are celebrating Christmas with his family today as I'm working shifts on 25-27th so it will be a challenge!

jellyfish2210 · 23/12/2023 08:50

AF due tomorrow, I have some light spotting but took a test anyway because I'm obsessed and have convinced myself I can see a line. Think I'm just so desperate to see one that I'm seeing things. Will test again tomorrow.

So lovely to have a few positive tests in this group. Congratulations to all of you!

RoseH36 · 23/12/2023 09:09

@Cressie2 thanks Cressie. Hopefully his will come back fine too but he's 46 now so I know age is against both of us really.

Do still pop on and let us know how you're going though, lots of us have followed your journey and I agree with @SouthwestSis that the ladies like you who are getting BFPs do give us hope.

@SouthwestSis Hope your husband is better soon. Nothing worse than being ill and forcing yourself to BD, that was me last month and hubby in the past too. I thought I was finally over this virus, although I do still have a bit of a cough, but woke up with a sore throat yesterday.

Hope you have a brilliant day celebrating Christmas. Don't be too hard on yourselves if you don't get to BD, sometimes a break can do you good.

@jellyfish2210 AF is due tomorrow for me too. Hope the spotting doesn't come to anything and you're not out yet.
