@MrsBP15 hi there I can't remember your story but did any specialists recommend tracking ovulation?

Angelsrose · 18/11/2023 11:19

Hi everyone. I started TTC #1 in January and got my BFP in September aged 38. Had my dating scan yesterday, I am 13 weeks + 3 days today. The nausea has been terrible but i remain grateful for this miracle! I still check in with this thread because it has been such an enormous source of support and comfort to me. I truly wish everyone the very best.

MrsBP15 · 18/11/2023 12:23

Hi @ThesisthenaViva ive been trying since Feb and have been tracking cycle and using OPKs since then. I get very positive tests and have had my Day 21 test done and it came back at 45 (still not entirely sure how good that is but I understand that it’s good enough) I have been pregnant before in my early 20s so I know it’s possible for me. I’m 38 now. To be honest I think the most likely thing (given my history) is that adenomyosis and/or endometriosis are making it harder for me to get pregnant. I can have a laparoscopy for endo but they can’t do anything about adenomyosis other than hysterectomy. I haven’t seen fertility specialist yet but we will be discussing options with them when we do.

ThesisthenaViva · 18/11/2023 13:31

@MrsBP15 apologies I meant to say tracking follicles/ovulation by ultrasound.

@worldwidetravel2017 frustrating that you have this hanging over your weekend. How do you feel, are you well in yourself?

@FigandHoney how are you feeling, I hope the little bean is settling in nicely?

Where is everyone up to… I’ve lost track?!

CD14 here, my OPKs are rising so should be testing today but I’m out all day. Have brought some with me but unlikely to manage it. No idea how people smuggle cups and tests into bathrooms and avoid the prying eyes of others! I’ll be annoyed if I miss it though…. 😆

I got a cfs diagnosis in july..

Duno whats what re that now ^^

I have bowel issues / sensitive bowel / maybe ibs etc

They took bowel polyps out in May

Gastro team are ringing me next week and seeing me urgently soon

More cancer marker tests Monday
And liver equivalent of ca125...

My oct full blood count came back fine but liver stuff doesnt always show up there

March 2023 liver function test was fine

I have abnormal ca125 etc

And other abnormalities from ct scan

3cm high density on liver is big worry - liver cancer or not

The most scared ive ever been
But today im alive so celebrating that

Cressie2 · 18/11/2023 22:05

@CurlyWurly1991 keep us posted!

I’m 2DPO and yet another month of trying. If nothing by Christmas time I think I’ll have to speak with my GP. @MrsBP15 what a find! Wish I’d known a week ago as just forked out on them at full price. So expensive!

@Catson Not long until your 12 week scan, exciting times! Hope the nausea subsides soon.

Hoping everyone else is doing ok? How’re you all getting on? Hope you’ve got lovely weekend plans.

SnookyPook · 18/11/2023 22:53

Hi everyone. Taking a step back from MN since my most recent MC so apologies for being a bit out the loop.

Just wanted to check in to see how you're getting on @worldwidetravel2017. So sorry to hear your recent updates and how scared you are. Everything crossed for it being something benign and easily manageable. Sending lots of hugs and positive thoughts your way. 💕

Update from me.. I think I ovulated around CD14 - got a mega spot and CM changes. Felt a bit weird 'wasting' a cycle by not TTC but I am glad now as it is actually doing me lots of good knowing there's no chance this cycle and just being more relaxed and not having TTC/fears of more loss dominating my headspace. I am also glad though that it looks like my hormones have settled quickly. Hoping AF will appear on schedule and then we'll see how we feel for next cycle. Got an appointment with MH midwife next week. Still awaiting appointment from fertility clinic.

Lovely to see more BFPs and to hear of pregnancies progressing well. A much needed reminder that it can and does happen! Hope everyone else is ok. X

CurlyWurly1991 · 19/11/2023 07:30

Agree @SnookyPook its lovely to hear from those popping back to update on their pregnancies.
it must be quite nice to have a cycle off, are you going to do anything differently ?! (Booze up , hot sauna, etc?)
@worldwidetravel2017 I hope you have a good support network where you are, and are being looked after.

CD15 and positive Opk yesterday so fx I pop out a decent egg and have a shot this cycle…

SnookyPook · 19/11/2023 08:21

@CurlyWurly1991 fingers crossed for you! Hubby and I have had a couple of date nights and I have enjoyed a few glasses of vino! Other than that, just enjoying not constantly thinking about it all. It's refreshing! I can already tell that I'm in a better headspace. Not sure what I'm expecting of MH midwife too but curious and hopefully that will be helpful.

FigandHoney · 19/11/2023 12:51

@worldwidetravel2017 no wonder you are scared. I really hope that it isn't as bad as it sounds. Please do something to distract yourself and treat yourself. Any chance for a little holiday trip somewhere? Thinking of you xx

Thank you @Cressie2 .As far as I know the little bean seems to have settled in nicely. Test still nicely positive. Although I was hoping to get a 3+ today after getting 2-3 weeks last weekend. But didn't. The worry is always there. We booked a private scan for reassurance at the end of 7weeks.

FigandHoney · 19/11/2023 12:53

I am glad you are in a better headspace @SnookyPook. Sounds like having a break is doing you loads of good

@CurlyWurly1991 Hope you pop out a gorgeous fertile egg this cycle

Thank you
I have a beach day trip on sat.
Had a nice sun lunch out today if we overlooked multiple bathroom trips
Was yummy food anyway.
Many tests and investigations upcoming so cannot go far

H0pefull · 19/11/2023 18:08

@worldwidetravel2017 so so sorry to read your recent posts. (Have been offline this week, only just catching up sorry) you’ve already been through so much recently, this is such a worry for you. As others have said, everything crossed for you that whatever your results, all can be treated / removed. We are all here for you❤️

how is everybody doing? have been reading through quickly this eve, hope those with recent BFPs are doing ok and progressing well! those in TWW fingers crossed for you 🥰xx

Bumblebee413 · 19/11/2023 18:16

I like the sound of popping out a gorgeous fertile egg! This cycle is feeling so weird. Just in that I’m CD 13 and tracking, expecting to ovulate around day 19, but there’s no pressure this time. I’m not willing myself to ovulate so that we catch the window before DH heads away or accepting that we have missed it or will. We just have a chance this time, like ‘normal people’ 😂 it’s been such a weird year!

Equally, at this point in time it is feeling very casual. But then I don’t normally go crackers until I believe there’s actually a chance that I might be pregnant 😄

@worldwidetravel2017 excellent call on the Sunday lunch! Hoping that the doctors are able to answer some questions for you tomorrow and that the tests go well.

I absolutely love the updates. Keep them coming please, you wonderful mamas. I know what you mean about it being a source of support @Angelsrose. I’m fully aware that I haven’t had even a smidge of a pregnancy the last 9 months, but having you all here has been so lovely. Definitely a space for sharing things you don’t in real life. Thank you for your understanding and sweet posts the other day when I had a wobble about my girl moving out of her baby room. She is loving her big girl bed and seems far more settled in it.

@SnookyPook I’m so pleased that you’re enjoying your cycle off and well done again for choosing to look after yourself. I definitely found the (involuntary) cycles off rather wonderful in a lot of ways! May your month be full of wine, couple time and relaxing x

Pineappleapple · 20/11/2023 08:44

For anyone using fertility friend - when would you book 21 day bloods? Ovulation day according to clear blue is the green square

2023 TTC 35+ Part 6
CurlyWurly1991 · 20/11/2023 09:21

@Pineappleapple thurs 23rd looks like day 21 equivalent (7 dpo)

CurlyWurly1991 · 20/11/2023 11:53

@worldwidetravel2017 hope all goes ok with the medical checks today x

1dpo here based on OPKs. Seen GP and having the day 21 repeated as progesterone came back low. GP says they can’t prescribe anything for raising progesterone, I would need to be referred after 1 year (so Apr 24). Seems like a long way away, hopefully we don’t need the referral but it’s good to have a plan.

H0pefull · 20/11/2023 12:14

Morning ladies, hope everyone's ok. Thinking of you today @worldwidetravel2017 , let us know how you get on if you feel ok to do so xx

I'm after some advice this morning if anybody can help. I have had my day 21 bloods back this morning and have been asked to repeat them as they're not high enough to confirm ovulation. I was unable to go on my actual day 21 as there was no appointments available, so i went first thing in the morning on day 23 instead. So my question is could this be the reason for the low result? I'm unsure if I just went for the day 21 bloods too late, or does it not work like that and would the reading still be the same on day 21 or day 23? Sorry if I sound really stupid here, it's just all so confusing. I have only seen the results in my NHS app this morning so I will of course discuss with my GP and repeat the bloods as they have requested, but I just thought I would ask here as well for some opinions.

Thanks for any help you can give xx
