@MixedCouple Ah that makes me feel much better yours looks similar! I’m somewhere between 4 weeks and 4w5d. That sounds sensible to stop testing then! Last time I didn’t stop testing until I was 7 weeks and had a private scan. I reckon I’ll probably be the same this time if it goes that far as I’m so scared 🙈

worldwidetravel2017 · 15/11/2023 19:01

Well - here we go guys..

Ct scan showed something on liver :(

Awaiting urgent mri :(

My life the last 6 months - urgent iron iv - urgent colonoscopy - biopsies - transvaginal scan - gastroscopy etc
So .much stuff

They still dunno why abnormal ca125

Never had an mri b4

The leisen ( sp?) They found is 3 cm :(

Cressie2 · 15/11/2023 19:44

@worldwidetravel2017 I’m so sorry that the CT scan has picked up on something and can imagine it’s a very worrying time for you. I’m hoping it’s just something benign like a hemangioma which are very common and thankfully the MRI is urgent so you should be seen in the next fortnight and have some conclusive answers. MRIs are nothing to worry about and are a little claustrophobic but some hospitals let you take music in with you if you want it to be more relaxing. Thinking of you lots tonight and try to keep calm until you have your results. Sending you the biggest hug in the meantime Xx

Mrsspoon3 · 15/11/2023 19:54

I’m really sorry to hear that @worldwidetravel2017, you’ve been through so much recently! I hope you’re able to stay calm and not worry too much and that everything turns out to be ok x

Bumblebee413 · 15/11/2023 21:57

I’m so sorry @worldwidetravel2017 that just be so worrying. I’m glad that they’ve done an urgent referral so that you get answers quickly. Sending lots of love xxx

Angelsrose · 16/11/2023 00:04

@worldwidetravel2017 sending lots of comfort and support to you. It has been a difficult time for you and I hope everything gets sorted for you very soon.

FigandHoney · 16/11/2023 09:50

Oh @worldwidetravel2017 I am so sorry. That must be really worrying for you. Sending you a ginormous virtual hug. Hopefully it turns out to be smthg fairly benign.

worldwidetravel2017 · 16/11/2023 09:53

Thanks guys
They actually phoned me this am and wanted me in tomorrow

But cant as obv tried to concieve v recently & ovulation is any min from today..

Obv wont try anymore this cycle now.

They wont / dont do it if theres any chance you can be preg.
Will be early dec - assuming not preg - most likely not preg as obv not many chances in but equally could be

Could of done with a break
Last 6 months has been so many referals / so many hospital trips
Very intense

worldwidetravel2017 · 16/11/2023 09:54

Given i had delayed reaction to iodine from ct scan
They are getting a senior radiologist to ting me bk re contrast 4 mri

FigandHoney · 16/11/2023 09:55

@Mrsspoon3 I am still anxious but going by my last pregnancy I don't think that will stop until baby is born.
Your test line is a beautiful positive. So try to hold on to that. I know it's difficult.
I am still testing to see progression every 2 to 3 days. But it also has a lot to do with how diluted your urine is, how much dye is in test, etc.
Also depends on when the bean implanted. With my son I had very light test lines after missing my AF. But they slowly progressed.
With this pregnancy my lines are much darker much sooner. So I think I ovulated late and implanted late with my son. And with this bean the opposite.

@Bumblebee413 thank you! Your friend is very wise

Thank you @H0pefull . I hope this is your cycle

I really hope there are lots of BFPs to come really soon

FigandHoney · 16/11/2023 09:57

@worldwidetravel2017 I really hope this is the last of it. That it turns out to be benign and then from that point you get a rest from all the appointments. Sounds awfully exhausting for both body and mind

Thank you
Unfortunately theyve yet to find out why abnormal ca125
Although could be linked to liver inflammation / this 3 cm liver lesien

( really hope its not liver cancer as thats a particularly bad cancer prognosis to get - liver cancer = doom )

Im supposed to be having another colonoscopy in nov given the polyp removal they did in May
But no letter yet
Guess that could be dec
But equally - ive had a negative qfit test since
And if i concieved after mri in Dec - they then wouldnt do it etc.. & would do another colonoscopy after id birthed a child ( if it ever happens )
But one day @ a time

Wishing you all a lovely wkend

CurlyWurly1991 · 16/11/2023 19:09

One day at a time @worldwidetravel2017
thinking of you, what a stressful time you have had.
hope it is a simple benign/treatable explanation and you can push on with TTC on the other side.

Thank you so much

Its been a horrendous day - i got access to a medical letter on nhs app and unfortunately it doesnt sound good

Might be the big c

Cressie2 · 16/11/2023 20:17

Oh my gosh @worldwidetravel2017 what did it say? They’ve probably just put the c word in the letter as they need to rule it out amongst other things which is why they are being super thorough. So nerve wracking for you having to wait until December. I really hope you’re ok.

@FigandHoney so so good that your lines are much darker. It all sounds super positive. Are you going to see your GP or just wait for the first scan? So happy for you X

worldwidetravel2017 · 16/11/2023 20:23

Hid my name and hosp name 4 some aninomity..
Might delete it in a bit - but thats a screen shot .

I already spoke to Macmillan this eve - they are very kind and very empathetic

@worldwidetravel2017 it’s hard to know why you have increased node numbers (nodes are normal in those areas) or why high density has been spotted on the liver lobe and only an MRI will really be able to explain the CT scan properly. I hope you get seen to as soon as possible. The last 6 months must have been so stressful for you. I really hope the results are good and then you have some stress off your shoulders and a fresh chapter in the new year. In the meantime, be really kind to yourself.
Hope you’re being supported at work and that you have some time off over Christmas to be with family and friends. We are all here for you too. I don’t even know you but have also been through cancer scares for a few years (thankfully benign) and can imagine the stress you are under. Keep busy and keep doing what you love. You’ll have your answers soon enough. Sending you the biggest hug. ❤️

ThesisthenaViva · 16/11/2023 22:53

I haven't posted on this thread for a while but just wanted to say @worldwidetravel2017 my thoughts and prayers are with. Hoping that the outcome is a positive one 💜

worldwidetravel2017 · 17/11/2023 12:50

Thanks guys
I contacted hospital direct Re email & phone - re extraditing an urgent referal which local drs hadnt sorted / acted on

@ least that serious letter has been sent to the eyes of some other consultants now

MrsBP15 · 18/11/2023 08:28

Sending you love and light @worldwidetravel2017 really hope you’re ok and you get answers really quickly ♥️

CurlyWurly1991 · 18/11/2023 08:47

@worldwidetravel2017 frustrating that you have this hanging over your weekend. How do you feel, are you well in yourself?

@FigandHoney how are you feeling, I hope the little bean is settling in nicely?

Where is everyone up to… I’ve lost track?!

CD14 here, my OPKs are rising so should be testing today but I’m out all day. Have brought some with me but unlikely to manage it. No idea how people smuggle cups and tests into bathrooms and avoid the prying eyes of others! I’ll be annoyed if I miss it though…. 😆

MrsBP15 · 18/11/2023 09:01

Hi everyone just wanted to let you all know that clear blue ovulation tests are on offer on Amazon at the moment!x

@CurlyWurly1991 I'm now 8 weeks pregnant. Nausea and tiredness have definitely set in. Still lurking here for everyone's updates

MrsBP15 · 18/11/2023 09:32

@CurlyWurly1991 i’m 7dpo and have had a few private appointments. Got one with fertility specialist in 10 days or so and husband just sorting out sperm analysis. Next week will be getting on it (so to speak) and have just stocked up on ovulation tests (see above!) so back to where I was pre holiday. Trying not to pin too much hope on our appointment with specialist but really hoping we’ll have some good guidance/options after seeing them!

Supertrooper101 · 18/11/2023 09:52
