Boots 5 days early tests.. evaps/indents?

Has any one had evaps or indents on boots 5 days early tests? Or does anyone have any line progression pics starting from a faint line?

I used them last month and had about 5 tests with faint lines on, I also had faint lines on easy@home along side them. They never got darker and AF arrived on time. I wasn’t sure if it was a chemical or just bad batches of two different brands.

im now 10dpo on my next cycle and I’ve had a couple of faint lines today on boots tests. The pic attached is one of the latest.

I’ve used boots many times and never had even a hint of a line if the test is negative, not even hours after it’s dried. I’ve always found them the most reliable early detection tests. Now I just don’t know what brand to turn to, FRER are no longer available. I know easy@home are awful
for false positives, I’ve had a couple false positives on them myself.

I am just going to have to wait it out this month and hope the line progresses. I have a CB digital early but don’t want to waste it because the line on boots is so faint.

what’s other people’s experiences with these tests? I’ve found a couple of posts about them but there’s not many.

@Sez281 most of my other tests arrived (still waiting on premoms) but in person there is 100% a line on all of them

@Jess1997 wow that's a lot of tests! 😂 I can definitely see something on the top one. The rest might not show as well on camera, also I question my eyes after looking at pictures all day 🥴 I did an easy@home about an hour ago and I've gotten another line but pretty sure it's an evap as the dye was quite slow to move through so might be a dodgy batch. I'm going to wait till fmu tomorrow. Fingers crossed your lines get darker 🤞🤞x

I see a line on the top one definitely. I have had loads of false positives on easy@home though. I switched to the orange Premom this month and so far I’ve had not even a hint of a line but some of the reviews say that they didn’t have a line when all tests were positive so not sure on their sensitivity.

i tested east@home for false positives between af and ovulation, when I knew I deffo wasn’t pregnant and this is one of the results…

I had positive easy@home and boots during tww last cycle so I was trying to determine if it was a chemical or dodgy tests.

@Dan521 the top one of mine is actually wondfo! I normally use easy at home but decided to switch it up this month! I’ve only ever had a couple false positives on easy at home! I have Premom coming too they were supposed to arrive today but didn’t so hopefully tomorrow!
@sez yeah I ordered 60 tests on Amazon 😂😂😂 all for £25 which isn’t bad considering some tests are over £10 for 2 😂 and weirdly enough for me I’ve always found my second morning urine is way better than my first!

@Dan521 that evap line is crazy! Like if you told me it was in your tww I'd 100% say you were pregnant 😳 I'll attach the two I took this eve from same sample..The dye moved through then weirdly so I'm nearly sure it's evap on both but then I tested one in water and it was bfn so I dunno 🙈😕 @Jess1997 let us know how the Premom goes 🤞

@Sez281 they both look positive to me! I swear I’m not gonna be convinced until I get a BFP.. I’ve had 2 CPs this year but both of my tests were so incredibly faint and this month just feels different so I’m crossing everything

I swear by the Boots 5 day early tests and they have always worked for me. I was getting a faint pink line by 10 dpo and was pregnant!

@Proudmummy67 I swore by them too up until recently 😭 I wasn’t sure if last month was dodgy tests or a chemical so decided to give them the benefit of the doubt and try them again this time and ended up with lines again. I’m at a loss now feeling like there’s no reliable early tests out there.

I know the feeling @Jess1997. I've had a MMC and CP this year so I know not to get my hopes up. I genuinely think that all of mine are evaps. Really hope you get your BFP dye stealer soon xx

@Sez281 i actually got pregnant last September too and had a MMC that I found out about at my 12 week scan in December so this is an extra special month for me 😭 I always wanted a 2 year gaps between kids and my LG just turned 3 on the 5th of September too! So not 2 year gap but maybe 3 😭

i have three kids 15, 14 and 11. I do that many secret tests and then carry them around with me to inspect them in different lights around the house, sometimes my kids walk in unannounced and I quickly stash them. I often forget about them then find them later on.

we have just had a family meal around the dining table and then all played a game of cards. We were just finishing up and my youngest son pulled a test from the bottom of a pile of junk on one of the chairs and announced “mums pregnant”

I seen the test and jumped up trying to play it cool saying “it’s just a Covid test” Just as I seen both lines, my face dropped and he started shouting “look at her face she’s deffo pregnant” my OH then seen it and his face dropped and it’s ended in chaos 🙈.

I inspect every test with a fine tooth comb, I am absolutely baffled how I have missed a line like this. Judging by the colour of it I can only assume it’s from last month. I’ve had to really convince my OH that i am not pregnant I seen his face light up. Now he’s asking if I am not pregnant then who is.

Im baffled, really really baffled. Now excuse me while I go and try to convince my entire household that I am not actually pregnant

It can’t even be from last month when I had lines on tests because I recently found all of them and took a pic of the inserts for future reference and none of them have lines like that one. Wtf 🙈

I feel so bad for OH my three kids are from a previous relationship, he wants this so much. His little face just lit up for a second 😭.

ive just used my last boots test to double check and it’s a bfn. I am definitely out this month. We’re going to start looking into fertility tests/treatments after this cycle.

I think he thinks I’m messing when I’m trying to convince him I’m not pregnant he’s like “well you don’t know for certain do you give it another week” 😭 I’ve had enough for one day stop the world I’m getting off.

My boots test was BFN this morn so I think yesterdays was an indent. There's stlll a whisper on my easy@home but I don't trust them anymore. I'm still only 9DPO AF due in the next day or so. Will just have to wait it out now 🤷‍♀️

@Sez281 there’s still a chance if you’re only 9dpo. I’m about 12dpo now and accepted that I am out this month. Just waiting for af to arrive now in the next few days. Think we’re going to look into having fertility testing done next. OH thinks he has low sperm.

@Sez281 and I agree 9dpo is early, I’m 11DPO today and only got the first hint of a line yesterday!
12dpo is still early too!!
but I highly highly recommend the wondfo early tests off Amazon! They’re picking up a like better than the Premom

ah @Jess1997 how exciting! Congratulations. I think a clear blue early digital would probably pick that up. I might try the wondfos next time. i have loads of Premom left but haven’t had even a hint of a line on them.

@Sez281 have you considered looking at ways to lengthen your luteal phase? I’m just thinking if it can take up to 12 days to implant with the most common being day 9 and your LP is 10 days, your lining might be shedding before the egg has had a chance to implant. May be worth looking into, I’ve seen people mention primrose oil to lengthen it although I am not sure how effective it actually is. I think LP is 15 days although I have never ending positive opks on and off throughout the month I’ve just been going off the peak. I might bbt this month.

@Dan521 Yeah I'm definitely going to have to do something as the max LP I've ever had is 11 days. I have managed to conceive twice this year but unfortunately resulted in MMC & CP. I think the procieve max vitamins I've been taking the last month have definitely affected this cycle as I usually enter fertile window on cd8 and peak around cd 12-14 but this time around it was cd 21 so I'm interested to see if it's going to lengthen my LP phase too.. if not and AF comes in the next couple of days I have an appointment with a fertility consultant in 2 weeks so hopefully they'll be able to look at that. I'm turning 41 at the end of this month and no DCs yet so time isn't really on my side 🥴

I’ve been looking into sperm analysis today, called a few clinics, none of them do it as a stand alone test. You have to book packages which includes all kinds extra. Were happy to continue just tying as usual but just want to rule out if sperm quality is an issue or not. We don’t want to waste another year trying if there is no hope the whole time.

@Sez281 I noticed after taking seven seas pre conception vitamins that my ovulation came forward 2-3 days and on the TTC board I was on at the time a couple of others mentioned it too. They're pretty cheap so not much lost if it didn't do anything for you but thought I would mention.

Before taking them my cycles would be 30-36 days long and I would ovulate about 10 days before, after taking them it became 14. I didn't change anything else and by this point had been trying a fair few months so was familiar with when I ovulated.

I’ve had what I think is the tiniest whisper of a line on a boots test. Can anyone else see anything or am I imagining?? No idea where I am in my cycle as still bfing and only had one period post partum so far. (Baby 15 months now).

@AppleTree16 I think given the fact that so many people are getting evaps on these the best thing to do is to test again in 24/48 hours and see if it is more visible. I know that feels like a lifetime though when you’re wanting to know for sure 😭
