Hi 🙋‍♀️, just as the title says, I am now on cd1 of my first cycle after a loss at 11+4 (stopped growing just after a scan showing strong heartbeat at 8 -9w)

Feeling nervous but positive about a new cycle ...but finding it hard to think of anything else other than ttc 🙂

Happy for some company to obsess with over these next weeks x

Sorry to hear AF has arrived @Oxalis00 especially after a hopeful month. Hope these next 2 weeks until ovulation go in fast! x

Hello @Bali200 ! I was just thinking of tagging you to ask how you are. Where are you on your cycle atm? I'm feeling good thank you x

@Ladyinpink1 no I cancelled it. Everything seems to have happened naturally so figured that was the best outcome for my body - let it do it at its own pace which I hope means things will settle down okay. My only fear is having any retained tissue so needing a procedure in a few weeks time - I would do anything to skip a month ahead in time! I'm glad you're feeling positive about this month and that you're going away at the right time :) x

Aaliyahrae · 19/10/2023 20:07

@Oxalis00 I surprised myself! It’s still lingered in the back of my mind but decided to delete apps etc and just have sex when I feel like it. Sorry to hear AF has arrived! Hope you’ve treated yourself with something nice.

@Bali200 I had a little break too when my AF came, I was so sad because the clear blue test gave me a very clear intent that got my hopes up! Glad you’re ok and back.

@ThelastRolo20 So sorry to hear. I had a miscarriage a few months back so I know how rough it is! Make sure you look after yourself x

@Ladyinpink1 I’ve heard lots of positives about people falling pregnant while away on holidays etc because you’re so relaxed. I have everything crossed for you!

Wise0wl · 19/10/2023 21:07

@Oxalis00 so sorry AF is here. Weirdly after crushing disappointment and a big cry, I found being back on CD1 a fresh start. It’s the hopeful waiting after ovulation I find so hard, reading into every symptom! Sending hugs x

ThelastRolo20 · 20/10/2023 08:16

@Aaliyahrae thank you, definitely taking one day at a time. Having a day with my toddler today which I'm looking forward to - it's very distracting! I know it's early but I've also started doing pregnancy tests to see the line get fainter, that also helps.

Hope you're doing okay and looking after yourself, sometimes a break from everything is exactly what's needed x

Haylsttc · 20/10/2023 21:16

@Aaliyahrae welcome back, sorry to hear you were having a hard time! I agree it’s so hard not to think about ttc when trying after a miscarriage. Totally different experience to what it was when we first started trying! Just do what feels right for you ❤️

@Bali200 nice to see you back too! Each month AF arrives I’m so sad too 💔

@ThelastRolo20 hope you had a good day today and kept yourself distracted 😊 hopefully it doesn’t take too long for your tests to return to negative 🤞

@Oxalis00 sorry to hear you’re on cycle day one, such a painful feeling! I hope the time goes by quick for you until ovulation 😊

Bali200 · 20/10/2023 22:43

Hi @Ladyinpink1 how strange you were thinking of tagging me! I’m doing ok thank you for asking, I’m CD16 and got my peak opk today so I’m at the fun part of my cycle 😂 although I look like I’m going to ovulate a couple of days later than last month so I’m hoping at least for a lengthier luteal phase this cycle, hopefully the B6 and vit c work their magic as 8 days last month was not the one ✨🤞🏼x

Thanks @Aaliyahrae and @Haylsttc its really tough ttc after a loss isn’t it, I think focusing on the ttc was my coping mechanism last month so when it didn’t work I felt like the grief hit me all over again 😪 x

So sorry to hear you had an indent @Aaliyahrae, that’s so cruel 💔 I hope you are doing ok now after a bit of a break? X

I’m also trying to restrict my time on MN as I was spending an unhealthy amount of time on here, especially on my WFH days I was doing very little work 😬 therefore you can all expect replies from me in 3-5 workings days 😂 x

Wise0wl · 21/10/2023 08:25

Trying not to be too disappointed (but also trying to manage not feeling too hopeful if the chances are low)… DH is away until Monday afternoon, I’ve just got a static smiley on my CB test. Too late to hope that dtd on Monday might be even remotely in with a chance of being successful…? (Even writing this has made me feel like it’s really unlikely 😔) hope you all have a lovely weekend x

SnookyPook · 21/10/2023 12:08

@Wise0wl oh that's so frustrating. If you can manage Monday afternoon, do it! Egg releases 12-24 hrs after peak and then, depending what you read, can survive another 36hrs. Did you manage any of the last 5 days too? There is always a chance but admittedly not perfect timing. When things like that happened to me I tried to see it as the Universe intervening cos it knew I wasn't quite ready that month or maybe it wasn't a great egg... Not much comfort I know but maybe helps a little. Sending a big hug!

Liz2681 · 21/10/2023 12:13

Sorry to hear that @Wise0wl, it's so frustrating when things don't align but agree with @SnookyPook that it doesn't mean you're completely out depending on when you ovulate after your peak and the viability of the egg after. I'd therefore give it a go if you can on Monday!

Hope everyone is doing well and enjoying the (soggy) weekend! x

Wise0wl · 21/10/2023 21:33

Thanks @SnookyPook & @Liz2681, managed Weds, Thurs and Friday morning, so still hopeful. And now going to invent a dentist appointment for Monday afternoon so I can finish work a bit early 😂 how are you both doing? X

graceinc22 · 22/10/2023 08:03

@Wise0wl ah, being away always seems to come at the most inconvenient time, but sounds like you’re well covered from before the trip!!

I think I may have FINALLY ovulated yesterday… only 7.5 weeks since the miscarriage… positive opk on Friday and then a temp rise this morning. Let’s see, my post mc cycle has given me lots of false alarms!

ThelastRolo20 · 23/10/2023 05:30

@graceinc22 that's great re positive OPK - I'm only one week after my miscarriage, can I ask if you had a period in-between? I'll be using OPKs as soon as the bleeding stops to try and make sure I don't miss ovulation so good to know other people's experiences. Either way good luck! X

graceinc22 · 23/10/2023 05:43

@ThelastRolo20 no period in between, I know I’m at outlier and had been told to expect 4-6 weeks as the avg. I also had some spotting and some pain so I’ve been referred to a gynae scan - but I think it’s just the PCOS kicking in! Some of my friends also took a while for their bodies to be back working after miscarriage, but then you read on here about people getting pregnant straight away - just trying to be patient and kind to my body. It’s been through a lot!

Wise0wl · 23/10/2023 20:21

@graceinc22 good news about your positive OPK!

I didn’t do any ovulation tests until this cycle (third since my MMC) and whilst I know it’s easy to get obsessive about it, it’s helped me feel a bit more in control. Hope you’re doing ok @ThelastRolo20 x

ThelastRolo20 · 23/10/2023 20:31

@Wise0wl I'm doing alright thank you - doing daily tests which are getting lighter which is helping mentally. A week on and the bleeding has really slowed too so hoping it's all coming to an end! How are you getting on? X

Wise0wl · 23/10/2023 21:09

@ThelastRolo20 I’m glad to hear that! Somehow before I had my MMC I thought that miscarriage was a one time thing, you just had a big bleed and then it was all gone. I feel silly saying it, but I didn’t realise it would be like a period or bleeding after birth and go on for so long. I’m now on CD17, the first day of my tww (hence being active on here as I hate waiting!) so we’ll see 🤞X

ThelastRolo20 · 23/10/2023 21:15

@Wise0wl ah best of luck, fingers crossed this month is the month. If I were on a normal cycle I'd be ovulating next Tuesday, but given the MMC, it's anyone's guess this month. Haven't gotten any false positives on OPKs though which is good so when it's positive I'll believe it

Wise0wl · 23/10/2023 21:19

Thank you. And likewise, good luck for a positive OPK for you!

Aaliyahrae · 24/10/2023 13:11

Got a BFN this morning. Only tested as I found a test in the back of a drawer. Not sure what I expected because I’ve barely had sex. If I was pregnant, it would definitely show by now based on when I last had sex. I should be coming up to my 3rd trimester not still hoping to be pregnant; it’s so sad. Went into Waitrose to grab some bits for dinner and there were lots of newborns and tiny babies in the cafe, my heart was aching so much. Sorry for the downer post. Just wish I never had the miscarriage.

LFD123 · 24/10/2023 13:24

Hiya new to this so not sure if I’m even posting right. But just wanted another opinion, is this positive? Had an early miscarriage last month and have been having negatives this passed 4 weeks, however this morning when I tested there was this. Should I take it as a positive?

Aaliyahrae · 24/10/2023 13:26

Hi, the line doesn’t look like it has any colour but it is a very decent line so an indent! Perhaps take another test and see if you get another line - if you do, then I’d say you’re pregnant!! xxx

LFD123 · 24/10/2023 13:32

Thank you, with my first pregnancy I used clearblue & it was a faint line to start. But does the first response 6 days early pick up sooner than a clearblue would? I’ll maybe test again tomorrow.

Liz2681 · 24/10/2023 13:34

@Aaliyahrae really sorry you're having a tough day. It is so difficult when you reach certain milestones and think what could have been. Hope you feel better soon xx

@LFD123 welcome to the thread! So sorry for your loss with the MMC. If that's an indent it's certainly one of the most prominent I've seen, so to me it looks like it could be positive. Were the other negatives you've had since your MMC first response tests as well? If not, it might be that the HCG levels are still being picked up from the MMC (depending on how far along you were). If they were FRs, I'd test again as it's not unheard of to get pregnant fairly quickly after a MC - I ovulated two weeks after my MC last month so it's certainly possible! xx

LFD123 · 24/10/2023 13:40

@Liz2681 i think I used every brand available to double check I was negative lol, so yes I’ve definitely had a fully negative first response & clear blue. I was expecting to see the same this morning & got a shock… don’t wait to get my hopes up either & afraid to even mention to my husband incase I’ve got it wrong 😑
