Thanks everyone! No bleeding yet and I have read some reviews online of the tests that said they were rubbish at showing progression and stayed super light.. so perhaps a nugget of hope still. Going to contact my GP tomorrow I think and see if they'll do bloods. 🤞🏻🌈🤞🏻

Westy22 · 10/09/2023 22:09

Fingers crossed for you @SnookyPook ❤️❤️

SnookyPook · 11/09/2023 06:50

Thanks guys but unfortunately I'm on the 'short-lived excitement' train... CB weeks indicator which should have been 2-3 by now has come up with Not Pregnant which is pretty conclusive!! No bleeding yet but at least I know it's coming. Just hope it doesn't take too long now.

This has hit me far less hard than my MMC in April. I guess I'd had less time to feel hopeful etc. It almost feels more surreal than anything. I'm still trying to home in on the positives that we've got pregnant twice in the space of 8 months, and less on the mad panic about egg quality etc 😬🙃

The right one will come at the right time. I'm sure whenever my rainbow does come along, it will make absolute sense why I had to wait for them. 💕🌈

Jadeypie · 11/09/2023 08:14

@SnookyPook so sorry to read this this morning sending you lots of hugs x

The understanding of it is a really good way to feel about it. I agree that timing is meant to be and our bodies know better than us at what it's doing. As you say you sure will get your rainbow 🌈 xxx

Hankthehonk · 11/09/2023 11:25

@SnookyPook My heart breaks for you, I'm glad you are being so rational and philosophical but if you need a cry or whatever I hope you can just let your feelings come. You are absolutely right of course that there are positives in you getting pregnant again, it's great if you can focus on that. But it still sucks, it's not fair. I'm sorry xxx

Sez281 · 11/09/2023 12:23

@SnookyPook I'm so sorry. It's so shit and feels so unfair 😞. I really do think the same as you though that it's so positive to have gotten pregnant twice in 8 months. I genuinely believe everything happens for a reason and it will happen soon 🌈 xx

Jadeypie · 11/09/2023 13:41

@Sez281 it's official. I've stopped the spotting!!!! I'm starting these opks tonight, thinking 7ish each night, then when I think I usually ovulate i will start twice a day. Listen to me acting like I know what I am talking about 🤣🤣🤣 xx

Hankthehonk · 11/09/2023 14:28

I'm not sure if everyone still trying wants a pregnancy update, so skip this post if not.

We had a (private) 16 week scan this morning and we're having a boy! So excited, we already have a wee girl. She is less than excited but we have 24 weeks to win her round to the idea of a brother...

More importantly I was just so happy to see that he's doing well, measuring bang on 16w3d and wriggling like crazy. I had built up some anxiety again before the scan, and I'm on a high now just having the absolute certainty that he is ok. Can you tell I really enjoy saying he instead of it/them?!

SnookyPook · 11/09/2023 14:50

@Hankthehonk delighted for you! Little boys are awesome 🥰 So glad he (he!!) is healthy and wriggly and thriving.

Thank you for the thoughtful pre-amble to your update too 💕

As to my situation, it is shit, and I have cried.. but it's just kind of merged with the ongoing grief I was already dealing with in a way. Nothing has changed except I had a couple of days of hoping this was my rainbow baby on the way. It's crap that it isn't, and it is a bit concerning in case my eggs are just all shitty now, but going down a dark rabbit hole isn't going to help me. Also, part of me is relieved that my body recognised it wasn't viable before letting me get to 11/12wks this time.

So I'm going to try and keep healthy and positive and trust that that little rainbow is still out there waiting for the right moment to come to us. 🤞🏻💕🌈

I might dip back out of here again for a bit as I really do think that being less obsessive about it all helped me to have a better cycle last time and although it wasn't the best outcome, I did get closer..! However, it is also nice to have some company so will see how I get on 🙂

Sez281 · 11/09/2023 15:49

Ah that's lovely news @Hankthehonk ☺️ I can only imagine the relief seeing him wriggling away 💙How old is your little girl? I'm sure she'll come round to having a wee brother over the next few weeks 😂

@Jadeypie ooooh happy 1st time opk'ing! I actually get great enjoyment out of watching the lines get darker. Much more fun than the tww! 😂

@Westy22 hope the worst of AF is over and you're enjoying your holiday xx

Sez281 · 11/09/2023 15:52

@SnookyPook dipping in and out of here sounds like the way to go. The relaxed approach definitely worked for you last time so just play it by ear, we're always here for a catch up or a vent if needed! X

Westy22 · 11/09/2023 16:00

Glad your okay @SnookyPook your rainbow baby will come ❤️ xx

AF is tailing off nicely @Sez281 😊 just getting ready to leave for the airport, hope our holiday is good because right me and the OH are doing each others head right in 🤣 don't know whether he's anxious about flying or the fact we are flying to Morocco just after an earthquake is stressing him out lol (we only booked Friday before it happened 🙈) our area isn't affected thank god x

Jadeypie · 11/09/2023 16:03

@Hankthehonk aww lovely update!! Little boys are just the cutest also live wires 🤣 well mine is anyway haha xx

@SnookyPook totally get it. Try take sometime for yourself and it's OK not to be OK ❤️ xx

@Sez281 I'm just glad I feel like I've got my body back ATM tbh xx

@Westy22 hoping your enjoying your mental break from ttc xx

Sez281 · 11/09/2023 17:00

@Westy22 The earthquake was awful god love them. Glad your area isn't affected. I think it will be great for them having tourists going over to keep the economy going. Hopefully when you get there you'll both be able to relax. I definitely have been having way more fun with my OH on this holiday (I was fit to kill him in the weeks leading up to it! 🙈) I think I'm subconsciously so stressed all the time thinking of ttc that this break was badly needed. Hopefully the same for you 🤞xx

@Jadeypie yeah you must be so relieved. Hopefully you'll have results from gp soon which will give you some reassurance xx

@Sez281 I have a question....so how many mins do u leave the opk test before taking the pic on prenom? Also when the lines start progressing does that mean ovulation is more like days away or weeks? Sorry if they seem random haha xx

SnookyPook · 12/09/2023 08:29

@Jadeypie I always take the pic once it's dried a bit so the background doesn't look 'wet' if you get me.

The surge varies from woman to woman so you will likely just have to track for a while to get an idea of your own pattern. I have quite a quick peak. Others have a longer slower rise and fall I believe, and some women have a double peak kind of pattern where they have a mini peak and then the proper one. I think PreMom have an article on it somewhere. So, as an example, I'm normally low, low, low, then the day before it rises slightly, then the day of it suddenly jumps up. I normally get my peak early evening and then next day it starts falling again. I'll attach pics of my last 3 to give you an idea! The one that has a lower peak - I forgot to test when I usually do in the evening so think I just captured the high readings either side. That's the one I conceived the CP (think that's why it's currently not showing the purple peak fertility days too as it registers things a bit differently if you log a +ve test) so it didn't matter and still gave me the info I needed! Good luck with it - I find it quite satisfying to track and see numbers on charts 🤓

@SnookyPook thank you! I think I get it haha. You read stuff online and chocker your head so just thought best asking the pros on here ha.

Yeh I agree I will be using this month as a feel so then next month hopefully I'll be more clued up about how my body does it. And I agree there is something appealing watching graphs and charts haha. Xxx

Sez281 · 12/09/2023 09:10

@Jadeypie yep @SnookyPook hit the nail on the head about everyone being different. I've attached my chart so you can see how mine isn't as steady and definitely fluctuates a lot before my peak!..And yeah 3-5 mins or when it's proper dry should be enough to upload them. I really enjoy doing them and looking at the graph 😂 xx

Has anyone seen GP after losses? I've got an appointment this afternoon and just wondering if anyone has any wisdom of things to say/ask? I never saw them after my MMC as was all dealt with at hospital. Now obviously just had my chemical. So two losses in 8 months. I'm 37. Would there be anything particular worth asking them about do you think? Or is it more just ensuring things are properly recorded etc?

xxcxdonxx · 12/09/2023 10:46

@SnookyPook I haven’t and mine was dealt with at the hospital too. I think having it recorded would be one thing and then seeing if any tests were available to you if you wanted to go down that route.
That is really nothing of wisdom I’m afraid but hope the appointment goes well xx

xxcxdonxx · 12/09/2023 10:48

@Jadeypie similar to the other ladies, mine as always pretty low and then rises really quickly. I’ve normally been able to catch an ‘almost’ peak and then know my actual peak will be in the next hours/day. Mine always ties in with ewcm 😷 so I know it’s en route!

Jadeypie · 12/09/2023 10:51

@Sez281 oh wow yeh I see what you mean. I'm actually looking forward to seeing how my graph turns our 😆

@SnookyPook mine was also dealt with the hospital so I wouldn't be able to advise. But being recorded and a good chat to the gp to see if there is anything they can suggest will be good. Xx

SnookyPook · 12/09/2023 10:52

@xxcxdonxx thanks, yeah thinking similar. Just want to make sure it's on my record really. I have had a successful pregnancy previously so know that DH and I can be genetically compatible and carry to term etc... I suspect it's probably just slightly older eggs but maybe they've got some words of wisdom - maybe around what supplements might actually be worth it etc. Just hoping it's not one of those doctors that makes you feel stupid and ancient for TTC in late 30s!! 🤞🏻😄

xxcxdonxx · 12/09/2023 10:54

Ladies I am back with another mixed scan update 😫
This was a follow on from last weeks scan and there has been some growth but not what they would have expected from a week apart. She was able to see a pulsing of a heartbeat but said that the yolk sac was enlarged which can be symptomatic of a miscarriage. So I’ve now to go back in two weeks time where I should get more of a answer either way.
I’m pretty resigned to the fact that I am going to miscarry again but it’s sad knowing that my body is working away to try and keep the pregnancy going.
This is also going to be a very long two weeks!!
