@Sez281 i just got the ‘high strength’ which I think is 100mg. I thought I’d save myself some cash and start with that before spending the big bucks 😂

Ive had a positive opk when pregnant before @Westy22 but hopefully another test tomorrow can clarify!

Thanks everyone I'm proud of myself ha. I feel like I'm driving myself mad. Got backache keep getting cramps and disappearing and expecting Af to show again. I got my appointment for my pelvic scan in two weeks them hopefully the hormones one will come next xx

@Sez281 what is ut meant to help with? Xx

@xxcxdonxx yeah that's the one I take. It definitely can't do any harm. Although it's meant to give you more energy and I haven't noticed it 😂
@Jadeypie it's recommended to improve egg quality. There's loads of different threads about different types etc that would confuse the hell out of you but I just go with the boots generic one. That's great about your scan! Hopefully the hormone check is soon after and you'll have a much clearer idea heading into Christmas & New Year 👌 xx

Sooo I think AF arrived last night, its very light atm but definitely think it's kicking in. So we go again. I'm currently sat with 6 tablets to take 🤣 I'm telling myself that I need to up my game now, someone mentioned a podcast list where they took 3 coq10 tablets so 900mg a day and DHA supplements, she put it on her podcast and a few people said it worked for them so I've ordered the DHA and will be taking the same level of coq10 this month 🙏 wake my old eggs up a bit 🙃🤣

Ah sorry @Westy22 but at least you now know where you stand now.
Wowzers, 900mg…the ones I bought are only 100mg 😂 I may be joining you though to wake mines up too!

I’ve just had a call from the hospital and looks like my referral is now kicking in, I’ve got a telephone consult with a Dr. at the end of the month so I guess it’s the first steps in the process. The lady I spoke to who was organising it said that she will talk through my experience and suggest some next steps. I’ve already had bloods taken so hopefully the results of those can be used too to rule some things out. She said I might be referred for a pelvic scan but it can take up to a year for an appointment!!

@Westy22 sorry to hear AF arrived. Onwards and upwards now though with all your new supplements 💪 Is that DHEA that you've ordered or something else? Just be careful if it is the DHEA as that's the one that my consultant prescribed but after reading loads of threads I want to get my testosterone levels checked first as it can mess you up a bit if not monitored so just be careful xx

@xxcxdonxx that's great that the ball is rolling, it's crazy that you might have to wait over a year for a scan but hopefully your history bumps you up the list a bit xx

I've been having a Google @xxcxdonxx and it seems the minimum suggested is 600mg for fertility which she does say in her blog but she upped hers. Mine are 300mg so I'm going to take 3 🤣 ill probably have some weird side effects in a few days 😱

erm I don't think so @Sez281 it's omega 3 fatty acid, I Googled and they said dhea is hormone so definitely different xx

Glad to hear things are moving now @xxcxdonxx 🙏 I'm surprisingly in an okay place about AF tbh as I was more worried I wouldn't come on and I'd start thinking there was other issues, it is what it is lol xx

@xxcxdonxx glad your referral is kicking in. Hopefully the scan will get bumped up too. May I ask - is this a fertility referral? What bloods etc did they ask you to do beforehand? I'm waiting on a referral now and the nurse mentioned I could start the ball rolling with my GP to sort some stuff before I see the consultant but I'm not quite sure what to ask for and my GP has previously been quite useless 🫤

I think my bleeding has just about stopped. Another two weeks until I officially test, although may do one a bit sooner just to see what is happening. I'm in two minds about opks... I think I might just to keep an idea of my cycles.. but still feel we should probs hold off trying again until my appointment with the fertility consultant comes through. At the very least, it would probably be good to have one proper period before we try again as I've had a CP bleed and then a MC bleed in a row with no proper normal cycles in-between. Not quite sure where my head is at. Some days I'm weirdly blasè about it all and then others the slightest thing will set me off crying. All very normal I guess. Really never imagined I'd be in this position of 3 losses in a row. It's been a tough year. I know we shouldn't wish time away but I'm quite looking forward to 2024 and hopefully putting all this behind us.

@Westy22 Ah right, no they're definitely different, that's good as I didn't want you getting facial hair or your voice breaking! I'm only taking the low dose and am so nervous about it 🙈😂

@SnookyPook Im glad to hear the bleeding has almost stopped, it must feel like you're in no man's land at the moment. It might be no harm to use opks every second day or so just to give you an idea of when your actual AF is due if nothing else 🤷‍♀️ I don't blame you wishing 2024 was here already. We've all had a shitty year but I know the last few months have been particularly hard on you so roll on good things happening next year 🙏 🌈 xx

I hit a peak line on opk and also got a static smiley on CB today (after 7 days of flashing smileys 🤯😂) So the good news for me this cycle is that it looks like I'm ovulating as normal and it's cd17 which I'm happy about considering the last one was cd9 (although I don't think I ovulated at all) and the one before that was cd22 so today I'm happy it's relatively "normal" at cd17. Apart from that I'm just waiting for my surgery in 10 days which hopefully gives me some answers and a proper plan can be put in place then 🤞

@westy even at 600mg I’m way behind, definitely something for me to ask about!
Totally get it, as much as we don’t want to see AF, it is reassuring that everything is working as normal.

@SnookyPook glad to hear your bleeding as now stopped. Everything that has happened over the course of the year will of course taken its toll, so it all sounds very normal. It’s really difficult knowing what to do for best.
My appointment is for my referral to the recurrent miscarriage clinic and happy to share anything that comes out of it. I had some basic bloods taken by my Gp at her suggestion, the only ones I can think of at the top of my head were folate and thyroid. I’ll get the full list as it will be good for me to know too and pass it on. I’m sure the consultant will suggest others but I think I had a the basic ones done and I haven’t heard back so I assume all is ok.

Great news on your peak opk @Sez281 and that it is much more ‘normal’ than last month, hopefully a sign of good things to come!

@SnookyPook all your emotions and feelings are very valid you have had a shitty year and I don't blame you wishing 2024 away either! I'll be glad to see the back of it too. Just take time for you in whatever way you need xxx

@xxcxdonxx hopefully you get some answers. My scan appointments next Friday if I'm correct it should be around the time I usually ovulate do u think the scan person will be able to let me know if I will? I'm convinced I've got all kinds up tho with the way my afs have been xx

@Sez281 oh good sounds like your falling back into your normal pattern do u feel more relieved vecause you know its not all over the place like last few cycles? . I got myself convinced I was pg this month with that weird af but nope just a weird af. Bloody sick of them I'm going to try the opks again when they arrive see what they say this time. Xx

@Jadeypie honestly I’m not entirely sure what to expect from a scan. I think they should be able to tell you if there is a ‘dominant follicle’ that is ready to be released or measuring the diameter of it should predict ovulation. They would maybe suggest to follow it up with a progesterone test to confirm if you have ovulated. Have you had those done before? Sorry I can’t remember if you have mentioned previously.

@Sez281 i remember you saying you felt overwhelmed when they said you could have those procedures, i know how you feel now.its weird isnt it. Its what i want but am feeling sad lol i had my appointment at fertility clinic today. Was not looking forward to it. Spoke to my gp and nurse beforehand for tips on how to get the cystocopy. Well. Am plsd i did. She wanted to do an internal scan...again...to confirm the private one. I said i had already had one that said it dosent 'appear' to show anything,so its pointless. I then said i will have my file and go to Pals then. Like the nurse had told me too lol She went out,spoke to someone, then came back and said yes, agreed that the saline scan is far superior and where the growths is inconveniant.... 🤔... exactly what i said when i got in there . Think am annoyed that it took a private scan too confirm this and 7mths wasted trying for a baby. If i hadnt of had that scan i would have never have known. I said did the d&c do this and she paused and changed the subject saying there probably skin tags .... anyway. Least am getting somewhere lol

Wow @Supertrooper101 Fair play to you for sticking to your guns. And only for your gp telling you what to say! Imagine all the other poor women out there that are getting delayed treatment because nobody tells us what to ask for 😣 Have you got a date yet? Hopefully it's soon.

So I think im after messing up, my surgery is next week and I ovulated today. I'll be 8dpo when admitted so I don't think they're going to be able to (for obvious reasons 🙈) the doctor didn't tell me not to dtd or to use protection and not ttc but I'm pretty sure it can't go ahead. I've emailed today so hopefully I'll get a new date not too far down the road

@Jadeypie I've had a few tv scans, last Dec the sonographer asked if I had pain when I ovulated as my ovaries were "sticky" and the consultant last week was able to tell me I was just about to ovulate because of dominant follicle like @xxcxdonxx said. You'll probably have to wait for the official report to be sent after it but it shouldn't take too long xx

@Sez281 ive got to wait for a ltr. But yeah,seems if you have a gut feeling, you have to pay to prove it lol why are you rearranging yours? I saw in the leaflet not to have sex 3wks prior, is that why in case you could be pregnant? Also it cant be done whilst on your period. So am pretty sure mine will land bang on that lol @Jadeypie just ask as many questions as you want, chances are they will just say the usual ..wait for the report lol the only one who actually interacted with me and answered my questions was in gyne after being sent from eau, and that was a week after the d&c when i felt really'heavy' down there. I just tell myself i would rather be told no or no comment then not ask at all.. all delends who you get lol

@Supertrooper101 The doctor emailed me back and said we're not cancelling it. There was nothing in leaflet about abstaining from sex before it. But we barely dtd anyway so I'm not worried and they'll do a hcg before hand as a precaution. I'm glad as I want it over with but also nervous as have read some horror stories about pain so hoping it is under general anaesthetic 😣 Hopefully you get yours soon too 🤞Keep me updated!

@Sez281 i dont get why u were going to cancel it anyway? Lol.. am with your dr.....go get it done lol see av been told by gp its painful and the clinic said make sure i take pain killers before hand. My leaflet says its just done. No putting asleep lol if they cant get thr the cervice then they may numb that,of they can, then they wont. And i had the saline scan no problem so thatl b alll natrual this end for it then lol am excited. Actually says i can ask questions and watch on the tv 🤣 am a bugger for questions lol

@Supertrooper101 no better woman for the questions! 👌😂 So I didn't read the info she gave me at all and it turns out I will be asleep as I'm having both a hysterocopy and laparoscopy, I may even be kept overnight but hopefully not. I just want it over with at this stage so we can move on with a plan

@Sez281 never heard of the laparoscopy. Just googled it lol Does sound abit daunting. When are you having it done again x

@Supertrooper101 it's this day next week so going to try keep busy until then! I expect to bleed for a few days to a week or so after it but it should coincide with AF so hopefully it won't mess up my cycle too much 🙏

@Westy22 I've been looking up acupuncture today, did you ever go in the end? If so how did you find it? X

Hi @SnookyPook Just if it is of any use, these are the things I was tested for with my blood work.
Full blood count, B12/folate, ferritin, urea and electrolytes, liver function, calcium, thyroid and glucose level.
How is everyone doing?
I’m just patiently waiting for ovulation, nothing as yet so possibly over the next few days 🤞🏻

@Sez281 i do acupuncture 🙂 had 3 sessions so far. Shes a chinese little lady and i have to help her out with english names for things like soup, when shes telling me to eat warming foods lol shes so sweet. I like it. I have it for fertility and circulation. My hands and feet r cold no matter how hot it is, ive got raynauds so trying to get things moving. I have the pins in my feet calfs thighs hands and head and in my stomach with a infra red lamp on and left alone for 40mins. I love it lol its 35pd so isnt too bad but too much to go weekly. Id like to think av noticed a difference. Gona vive her fertility herbs a go nxt year lol
