Just met the professor in the fertility clinic. She was amazing! I don't think it was same woman I saw before 😂 She did a tv scan that I wasn't expecting and said it looks beautiful 😂 there's a lovely thick endometriam and a clear dominant follicle so she thinks I’ll ovulate soon and to go home and have sex 😂 I’m going away to France with friends in the morning so hoping I won't proper peak till I'm back on Tuesday. I'm only cd6 🙈🙈I’ve just got bloods to see my what AMH level is and should have results next week but she doesn’t think there’s any need for me to take Clomid or Leterazol. She can’t see any reason why I shouldn’t get pregnant soon but prescribed cyclogest and aspirin for if I get BFP. She’s booked to see me again at start of January but she seems so confident that everything looks ok. It’ll be Hycosy and maybe laparoscopic surgery then if nothing has happened but hopefully it won't be needed 🙏

@Sez281 oh that sounds really reassuring and hopeful! So glad 😄 Love that she told you to go home and have sex - not often you can say to your OH that it's doctor's orders 😄

Enjoy your weekend in France and then bonne chance for this cycle 🤞🏻🌈

Sez281 · 12/10/2023 16:14

Thanks @SnookyPook I just can't believe I'm in fertile window already🙈 She said it was a 19mm dominant folicle and I confirmed it with a quite dark opk when I got home) I'm only cd6 and I didn't ovulate till cd22 last cycle! Ill take opks with me and pray I don't hit peak until Monday or so. It's Sod's Law that I only booked the flights last night 🙈 I'm hoping if we dtd this eve and when I get home Monday night/tues morn that we'll catch it. Lashing the cough syrup into me anyway 😂

How are you doing? Any symptoms? Xx

@Sez281 that all sounds really good! Is that an nhs fertility clinic? I went and got told to come back after a year trying since the mmc.. thought yeah, cheers for that lol can i ask what your scenario is x

xxcxdonxx · 12/10/2023 16:47

Wowzers, that sounds brilliant @Sez281 and like it all went very well. So pleased that everything is now in place for you when you get your bfp. Have a lovely time in France too!

I called my gp today to make an appointment just to discuss what has been happening and if there is anything she can recommend. I feel a bit lost with what vitamins to take and hoping to get a bit of guidance. After a bit of Googling I found something about an enlarged yolk sac being due to an accumulation of nutrients and I’m worried I’ve went wrong somewhere.
It's normally a bit of a pain getting an appointment as they only release a certain number in advance but the receptionist snuck me in which was very nice.

How are you feeling @SnookyPook?

Sez281 · 12/10/2023 16:53

Hi @Supertrooper101 sorry to hear of your loss and your experience following it. I'm based in Dublin and was referred through my GP. I'm 40 and have no children. Came off Depo injection last year after over 10 years on it. Myself and OH weren't actively ttc then but we weren't preventing either. I got pregnant in Jan but unfortunately had a MMC in March. We started actively trying in May when cycle returned but unfortunately had a CP in July. I guess with my age and the fact that I have possible endo (severe cramps at different stages through my cycle) my GP thought it was best that I saw a specialist. She more or less gave me the stats on miscarriage and how common it is but said that she can't see any reason at the moment for me not to conceive and the fact that I have twice this year is really positive, but I guess my age is also a major factor so it's good that I'm under her care now as we can start the ball rolling for ivf in the new year (although hopefully it won't come to that 🤞) Have you been trying long?

@xxcxdonxx so glad that she snuck you in for an appointment. The waiting list stare crazy everywhere at the moment 😣 The whole vitamin thing is such a minefield. I'm still convinced that the proceive max messed up my last cycle, but you're damned if you do and damned if you don't 🤷‍♀️ Hopefully your doc will be able to give you some reassurance xx

@Sez281 england must slack compared to there then lol a 41, have a 9yr old and 15yr old, so been awhile lol the clinic basically said you have carried before and was pregnant this year so just keep trying and we will look again in april...a year to the mmc 🙆‍♀️...... gona make another appointment nxt mth and just sit there until they take me seriously. Am sure ive read on the nhs that over 40 somthing should be done straightaway.. seems every part of the uk works differently tbf.

Strawb28 · 12/10/2023 18:48

Omg I didn't get the tag and then I came on and searched and found you all!!! Hope everyone is doing well going to read back through the thread and see what I've missed!!

Sez281 · 12/10/2023 19:45

@Supertrooper101 Ugh that's so frustrating 😣 From the threads I've read here there definitely seems to be a lot of different procedures depending on where you are in the UK, it seems to be the same with regard to getting prescribed progesterone etc. but yeah you should be a priority regardless of previously having children. Definitely book again and just hound them until they see you! Fingers crossed you get BFP soon 🤞Keep us updated

@xxcxdonxx so glad they snuck you in! Hope it's helpful.

@Strawb28 aw welcome back!

I'm doing ok... Bit nervous to test again in the morning in case there's no progression or it's got fainter or something but hopefully all ok. I've been really tired today and quite hungry which I'm taking as a good sign. 🤞🏻🌈

Strawb28 · 12/10/2023 21:43

@SnookyPook I am keeping everything crossed for you!! I was so nervous at the beginning of mine too. I tested for weeks 🙈🙈

Jadeypie · 13/10/2023 06:32

@Supertrooper101 sorry to see they have just fobbed you off. But I agree you should be seen sooner than later maybe try a different gp?

Strawb28 · 13/10/2023 09:49

@Jadeypie all is good thank you! How are you getting on?

@xxcxdonxx how are you doing?

xxcxdonxx · 13/10/2023 10:13

@Strawb28 almost half way through, how exciting! Glad to hear that your sickness has now passed too ☺️

I’m doing ok, unfortunately had another early loss so back to thinking about opks and the joys of TTC! I’ve got myself in a bit of a spin about vitamins but hopefully will get some clarity on that next week 💜

Jadeypie · 13/10/2023 12:01

@Strawb28 oh that's flying! Are you finding out what your having? Glad the sickness has gone its horrid. Sounds like your in the honeymoon stage haha xx

I'm just plodding along don't think I'm ovulating and waiting on the hormone specialist but we plod along. I'm just in a health kick mode so I've calmed down on all ttc stuff xx

Jadeypie · 13/10/2023 12:04

@SnookyPook did you test again this morning? Or holding out for a few days. I always remember when I had my first I done two tests then never thought about it. But I don't think I would this time round. Having a loss robs all that nievity away. Xx

Westy22 · 13/10/2023 19:31

Hey ladies,

Spoke to the lady I'm hoping to do fertility acupuncture with this evening, she's took loads of information from me and is going to look at what the potential plan will be. It was nice to talk to someone who was interested lol so many random questions tho...do I wear socks at home or more bare foot? 🤣 apparently I should be wearing socks and drinking room temp water not cold. 🙈 she's has helped 12 people have babies who had secondary infertility or unexplained infertility in the last 2 years, she was very honest that it's not a guarantee but was confident she could help me. 🙏 now I'm just waiting to find out the the cost 🤣

Other than that like you @Jadeypie I'm plodding along and potential entering my fertile week but I weirdly have no urge to opk test so hopefully that continues x
