I'm currently TTC following a miscarriage at 12 weeks on 5th August. I haven't had a period yet but we decided not to wait, as I'm desperate to be pregnant again and I think that is the only thing that will make me feel better about the loss. I have been tracking ovulation and did catch my peak so now just hoping I've got the timing of DTD right.

Just wondering if anyone out there TTC is around the same time in their cycle so that we can chat to each other really. I think I'm already driving my husband mad, it would be nice to speak to other people who really understand how I'm feeling! 😊

@Amberellalina i went to Holland and barrat and they sell B6 in 100mg tablets.

I’ve taken one on a morning and one at night, but since getting the positive tests I’ve dropped to just 1.

Agathapoirot · 08/09/2023 06:53

Congratulations @HashB !!

Fantastic news!

Crazydogladie · 08/09/2023 08:58

Negative test today so that’s me out. Part of me wants to stop early testing to
avoid the heartbreak but I think it’s important to
know if there is a pattern of early loss. No easy answers in TTC!!

Kewchoc · 08/09/2023 12:13

I caved and have just been to buy a different brand from the shops, I've just tested and definitely BFN. I'm 10DPO today so pretty sure I'm out this month too. I feel really upset to be honest, I think this whole narrative of apparently being super fertile after a miscarriage has given me some misplaced confidence that I'd get pregnant straight away, and the thought of that has been getting me through the emotions of the miscarriage cause I've been thinking I'll be pregnant again soon anyway so it's okay. But don't think that's going to be the case 😞

@Kewchoc sending a hug, but it is still early so you might not be out yet! If you are then ‘more fertile after an mc’ doesn’t have to mean straight away, you could catch the month after like @HashB

@Crazydogladie sorry to hear about your bfn, I’m sure it’ll happen for you soon too, have you been ttc for long?

I had some 100mg b6 tablets in the cupboard I got for morning sickness last time so I started them this morning on top of the 10 I get in pregnacare. Unsure whether to do the pm dose as well, I probably can’t be relied upon to remember every day and I expect it’s one of those where consistency is key 😂

Kewchoc · 08/09/2023 13:07

Thanks, I actually discovered afterwards that the tests I bought today were only 25miu anyway so less sensitive than the ones I've got at home 🙄 I know there's still a tiny glimmer of hope for this month but I'm not hopeful. I think I'm going to find my period very difficult if it does come though 😞 I'd started getting my hopes up cause I've had a few things that I was hoping were symptoms but now I'm not sure...sorry for being all doom and gloom!

@Kewchoc sending you a hug xx this was me last month. The whole thing felt so unfair and my insides ached I felt so sad. At 10DPO you might not have even implanted yet, there’s still some hope.

@Crazydogladie sorry it was a negative this month, I hope you are ok. Early testing is a hard one. I think I test early thinking if it’s going to be a no, I want to know that sooner rather than stay in the uncertain ground of it all. I hope next months better for you xx

@Amberellalina the only thing I would warn about 2 a day is I was getting the most vivid and scary dreams, which I’m sure was related. I’m not usually a nightmare person but they were intense!

moosey89 · 08/09/2023 14:40

Spotting has started a day early for me (CD26) so looks like I am 100% out.

Kewchoc · 08/09/2023 19:34

So I was going to have a drink tonight seeing as I was so certain I'm out after the negative tests today, but the 'symptoms' I mentioned earlier are exactly the same as how I've felt both other times I've been pregnant and I've cried twice today which is another thing that happens when I'm in early pregnancy, its usually incredibly rare for me to cry. So I did another test about 30 mins ago (one of the more sensitive ones) before I bought alcohol and I'm certain I can see an absolute squinter of a line. I've tried taking a photo to show you but my camera isn't even picking it up, but I'm sure it's there. It may well just be an evap line, but I was so certain I was pregnant before today because of how I'm feeling, I find it's a very specific feeling! Im obviously going to test again in morning, but I don't really know what to think now. It's likely I've just driven myself crazy and am clutching at straws...

Got everything crossed for a positive update tomorrow morning @Kewchoc x

HashB · 08/09/2023 19:50

@Kewchoc i have everything crossed! I’m going to be checking this thread constantly now! I am wishing you a faint line tomorrow xx

Kewchoc · 08/09/2023 19:50

@Agathapoirot Thank you! I'll update tomorrow. Really trying not to get my hopes up

OP posts:
Kewchoc · 08/09/2023 20:04

@HashB Haha thank you... the line was literally fainter than the first photo you posted so we shall see what tomorrow brings

OP posts:
HashB · 08/09/2023 20:05

@Kewchoc the first photo I posted I had played with all the contrast settings so there was something to show. If it wasn’t for that I’d have thought it was negative. You could barely see a thing

Kewchoc · 08/09/2023 20:33

@HashB I've edited this slightly but I'm still not sure you'll even be able to see it, I think I can only see it on the photo cause I know it's there in real life

OP posts:
HashB · 08/09/2023 20:50

Maybe I’ve just stared at tests too long but I think I can see something?

1DPO... any cycle buddies out there?
Kewchoc · 08/09/2023 20:58

@HashB Yes exactly there... maybe we're just as crazy as each other 🤣

OP posts:
Amberellalina · 09/09/2023 06:59

Ooh, @Kewchoc, that looks promising. @moosey89 how are you doing today?

Kewchoc · 09/09/2023 07:16

I've tested again this morning and it just looks exactly the same as yesterdays test. I know I'm just going to have to wait a day or 2 then test again but I just want to know now 😩

OP posts:
Kewchoc · 09/09/2023 08:19

Never mind... started spotting so I think AF is starting early and yesterdays line must have been an indent 😞

OP posts:
HashB · 09/09/2023 10:27

Ah I’m sorry @Kewchoc If this is your first cycle post MC has it been a normal length?

sorry I missed your post @moosey89 and sorry this isn’t your month but it sounds like you really might be on to something with the progesterone? Hopefully the next few months will be totally different x

Kewchoc · 09/09/2023 10:38

@HashB Yes this is my first period since MC, it's actually five weeks to the day since MC happened. I'm trying to stay positive and tell myself that at least I know I'm ovulating and have a fresh lining ready for this coming cycle but I still feel down today, which I guess is probably quite natural.

What was everyone's first period post MC like? Mine seems to have gone from 0-100 already this morning. My app said it was due to start on Monday but I'm kinda relieved it's started today and not on Monday when I'll be at work, at least today I can have a lazy day at home

OP posts:
Amberellalina · 09/09/2023 11:18

Oh no @Kewchoc, what a rollercoaster! At least with AF coming early you’ve got a bit of closure.

Mine’s been pretty normal so far, apart from the two days of spotting first which I don’t usually have (0-100 is normal for me 😂). I guess it was a bit of gunk left over from the mc. Having I’m on CD4 now and I ovulate around day 18 so we should still be in sync for next time if you have a ‘normal’ cycle length.

@HashB how are getting on? Any symptoms yet?

Kewchoc · 09/09/2023 11:57

@Amberellalina yeah that's true, at least I have an answer now. Yeah to be fair, I don't usually have spotting, my period generally starts through the night then when I get up the following morning it's like a scene from Carrie! So maybe it is that there were things leftover from the MC in which case I guess it can only be a good thing that it's all getting cleared out before conceiving again. Yes hopefully we will still be in sync I've been finding this thread helpful!

Oooh yes @HashB how are you feeling? Has it sunk in yet?

OP posts:
HashB · 09/09/2023 12:59

@Kewchoc my first cycle was really short, about 21 days and it was usual length but heavier than normal. I also felt crampier than usual.

I feel ok other than I’ve noticed I need a wee a lot more and I just cannot sleep. I can fall asleep but i’m wide awake from 1ish. On a morning I just feel really groggy, I wouldn’t say morning sickness but it is a bit of a sickly feeling.

It hasn’t really sunk in to be honest! Since getting the obvious positive test me and my fiancé haven’t spoken about it once. I feel like last time has really shown me that all it means is I’m pregnant today, and I’m really grateful, but I’m not going to get ahead of myself this time. Last time I’d even picked out nursery wallpaper 🤦🏼‍♀️
