I'm currently TTC following a miscarriage at 12 weeks on 5th August. I haven't had a period yet but we decided not to wait, as I'm desperate to be pregnant again and I think that is the only thing that will make me feel better about the loss. I have been tracking ovulation and did catch my peak so now just hoping I've got the timing of DTD right.

Just wondering if anyone out there TTC is around the same time in their cycle so that we can chat to each other really. I think I'm already driving my husband mad, it would be nice to speak to other people who really understand how I'm feeling! 😊

@GuessHowMuch a lot! I wait for them to do sales which they do intermittently, usually on US public holidays as they are an American company haha. I think for a box of 20 wands that do the 3 hormones (oestrogen, LH, progesterone) it's £89.99 for 20. I use about 7-10 a cycle (10 at the moment because post miscarriage I want a base level to work from). Their sales are usually 20% ish off, and you can do a 'subscribe and save' thing too if you know you're going to want to do it for a few months.

@HashB Let's hope both of our twinges were lucky twinges lol 😊

I'm excited for those of you a few days ahead to start testing in the next few days!! Fingers crossed for lots of BFP's! 🤞🏼

Do you think the US could be persuaded to move Labour Day to next week when we all know what’s going on this cycle? 😂

HashB · 05/09/2023 16:19

I’m home alone today as my other half is away for a few days. When I’m left to my own devices is when I tend to spiral, so despite saying I wouldn’t do another test until the weekend, I got to 3pm and did one.

I do think I can see the shadow of what would be another line, but I can’t seem to capture it on camera without having to play with the settings.

The thing is, I actually feel quite periody today. I’ve been crampy all day and my knees ache which is a period symptom I used to get prior to having a coil fitted 🤷🏼‍♀️i guess this is what I get for being too neurotic and testing too early.

Well, I can definitely see something there - whether it’s a vvfl (potentially very exciting) or an indent or an evap I don’t know… probably worth a test with fmu tomorrow…

Agathapoirot · 05/09/2023 16:54

Agree I can see something too… got everything crossed for you x

Kewchoc · 05/09/2023 18:44

Yep I can definitely see a line there @HashB do another test in morning and hopefully it will be clearer! Keep us updated 😊

I've also just done a test which I was 100% certain would be negative before I even did it but the baby fever took over, despite only being 7DPO and having drank about 6 pints of water today haha. Obviously negative!!

How’s everyone doing? BFN for me at 10 dpo :-( but I checked my apps and I didn’t get a bfp until 13 dpo last time, so gonna try to hold out until Saturday to test again ☺️ more spotting yesterday anyway so if it is AF then it’s clearly not my month, and if it is implantation then it’d be too early for hcg to be detectable…

Kewchoc · 06/09/2023 07:22

10DPO is still pretty early though @Amberellalina so fingers crossed there will be something there next time you test!

I also got a BFN this morning but only 8DPO and using a cheap easy@home test which are apparently less sensitive? Tempted to buy an early response but I hate spending money on the more expensive tests just for it to be negative!

OP posts:
HashB · 06/09/2023 07:53

@Amberellalina I think I was 13dpo the last time I got a positive too, fingers crossed!

@Kewchoc i also feel the same about tests. Especially since I’m so test happy, if I went clearblue every time I’d be in debt.

I’ve been using clear and simple from boots, I think they’re 3 test strips for 1.99. X

Amberellalina · 06/09/2023 08:30

Alas, shortly after I posted my last message AF confirmed her unwelcome arrival! So sadly I’m declaring myself out this month. On the plus side, her coming so early (presumably due to the mc) means I’m four days closer to the next fertile window 😂 hope the rest of you have better luck…

I’m solidly on team easy@home as welll @Kewchoc I think they’re about £7 for 20 on Amazon and it’s handy to have a lot in!!

@HashB how did you get on this morning??? Is the line any clearer?

Crazydogladie · 06/09/2023 10:20

I got a faint positive on a boots early test at 11DPO but am really worried it’s chemical. I’ve no symptoms at all, boobs were at a bit sore at 11DPO but gone now. I did a normal boots test with fmu the last two days and the line was faint yesterday but almost invisible today and I’m now overdue so it should be getting stronger :( trying to hold off testing again until tomorrow but don’t have a good feeling about it. It’s such a rollercoaster!!!

Kewchoc · 06/09/2023 12:27

Aw no @Amberellalina that's crap 😞 but I guess it's a positive that your cycle is returning to being somewhat normal at least! Fingers crossed for next month!

@Crazydogladie try not to worry, I literally had no symptoms at all when I was pregnant with ds and that was a lovely healthy pregnancy. Lack of symptoms doesn't necessarily mean things aren't progressing and line progression can really differ based on so many different factors

OP posts:
Crazydogladie · 06/09/2023 13:56

Thanks @Kewchoc , I know I just need to relax and wait until I’m a few days past due. I have a thyroid condition that is a risk factor for early pregnancy so tend to obsess a bit but I know worrying won’t help!

@HashB i hope the test this morning went well!

HashB · 06/09/2023 16:37

I had to get up at 5 this morning so did another test first thing and to be honest I can’t see any difference from yesterday. It may even be a little lighter? Definitely don’t think it’s any darker.

today is 11DPO, but feels like 2 years DPO. Maybe it’s headed for a chemical too? As with everything I’m sure time will tell.

Ive had light cramps for the last few days but no sign of AF yet.

HashB · 06/09/2023 17:03

I also tried an ovulation test yesterday and today. Usually before my period I’m at 0.05ish so super super lower, but yesterday I was 0.4 and today 0.35.
maybe my pee was more dilute, maybe hormones have dropped, maybe I will drive myself crazy with every maybe scenario…

Amberellalina · 06/09/2023 19:08

@HashB I know the LH strips can pick up hcg so maybe it's a good sign that your ovulation test is coming back high? Everything crossed for your next test...

@Kewchoc ah, I'm alright. Was thinking of this one as a practise run anyway and at least I know that I'll have a fresh lining for next month. Excited to see your results in a few days...

@Crazydogladie try not to worry - it is still very early! Got my fingers crossed for you too.

I'm going for the AMH blood test and follicle counting scan next week because I'm thinking about IVF (being well old ). Anyone else had these?

Kewchoc · 06/09/2023 19:56

@HashB Ah that's frustrating, are you going to try and leave it a couple of days then test again?

@Amberellalina Yes that is very true. I know they say we're more fertile after MC but really I think it's probably quite lucky to get pregnant straight away! Thanks, I'm really going to try and leave it a few days before testing again but I'm absolutely itching to buy an early response test and do it tomorrow lol. I've had some mild cramping again today which I'm hoping is something exciting but also aware it could just be AF getting ready to make her appearance 😞

OP posts:
Crazydogladie · 07/09/2023 11:10

Felt really crampy yesterday like AF was coming and my fmu test this morning was so faint I could barely see the line so it’s def not looking good :( Expect I’ll know for sure tomorrow because based on how light the line was today I’m expecting it will be negative by then. I really had no idea before we started that TTC would be so brutal!!

Hope things go in the right direction for you @HashB ,its still very early days at 11DPO - sending good vibes!

HashB · 07/09/2023 18:42

@Crazydogladie i totally missed your message that you’d had a faint positive- have you tested again today? could your pee just be more diluted? I’m wondering if that is why second test looked no different/maybe lighter than my first. It’s so hot I am drinking gallons!

thanks for thinking of me @Amberellalina and @Kewchoc i tested again this morning and I know it’s still really light but the different between yesterday and today is huge! This is 12DPO. it’s simultaneous joy and dread. Fingers crossed the lines get darker over the next week or so.

1DPO... any cycle buddies out there?
Kewchoc · 07/09/2023 19:09

@Crazydogladie Maybe try waiting a few days before testing again? Hopefully you'll see something stronger then?

@HashB Aww this is definitely positive isn't it! Congratulations! 🥰 very exciting indeed!! I managed to avoid testing today lol I might try again in the morning. I've been having cramping still though and feeling pretty irritable so I'm becoming more and more certain that's it's just going to be my period starting soon 😞

OP posts:
Amberellalina · 07/09/2023 20:29

Yaaaaaaayyyyyy! @HashB, that’s a bfp for sure - congratulations!!

@Kewchoc you’re still not out until the witch arrives…

@Crazydogladie so so brutal 😭

HashB · 07/09/2023 21:16

Thanks @Amberellalina and @Kewchoc, I really hope you get yours really soon.

if it’s at all helpful, I got my last BFP on 1st June and they scanned me and told me I’d had a missed miscarriage on 10th July. I was expecting to be 11ish weeks but I was actually measuring just shy of 10.
I opted for the Medical management route which was carried out on 15th July.
I got a negative pregnancy test on 23rd July, went right back to tracking but obviously missed it and my next period started 12th august. I started taking b6 this cycle as I’ve read it helps with progesterone. Maybe it helped?

last time I remember having no symptoms to start with apart from loads of discharge and then eventually frequent painful period pain, the worst constipation and the biggest boobs. This time I’ve had nothing (yet) but lingering light period pain and my legs also ache like they do before a period.

I feel hyper conscious after everything that happened before that a positive test absolutely doesn’t equal a baby. All I’m really taking this as is some time off laboratory style sex for awhile and fingers crossed this one is really really sticky

xxx

Amberellalina · 07/09/2023 21:46

Thanks @HashB, I’m planning to take b6 this cycle to see if I fare any better. What dose did you use?
