We've started 3 cycles ago trying for our 3rd. I'm going to be 41 soon and both me and DH feel exactly the same about this, feels like going for a 3rd is a bit insane, with all the challenges in logistics, but at the same time it feels like we both really want it ❤️ We're sort of going for a leap of faith... is anyone in the same boat?

@AFeastForCrows i think I may do the same this cycle. This was going to be our last ditch attempt, throw everything at it cycle, but I’ve just realised that DH is going to be away for the key bit of what I think will be my fw!

I have conceived before from sex 5-6 days before ovulation, so I know it’s possible, but that was years ago now. Anyway hoping that ovulation might be a day or so earlier as that would help, and at least tracking it would help me know whether it’s even worth getting my hopes up or not. What CD are you? Maybe we could do it together? I’m CD5 today.

AFeastForCrows · 27/09/2023 09:29

Thanks guys

@Ifyouknowyouknowyouknow I’m on day 11 it seems so I think I might have left it too late this month to track anything 🥺 I’m hoping lots of sex over the next week will do the trick and then get prepared for the following month if not. I could kick myself for being so clueless

Ifyouknowyouknowyouknow · 27/09/2023 09:39

@AFeastForCrows not necessarily - get on it today! When do you think you normally ovulate?

I’ll need to order some strips which I can probably get delivered tomorrow but with work won’t realistically be able to test until tomorrow evening. Might be worth a shot though! I think I usually ovulate around day 13/14 but that’s only based on symptoms

MacNut · 27/09/2023 09:59

Agree with @Ifyouknowyouknowyouknow, @AFeastForCrows unlikely to be too late yet! I ovulate earlier than average for a 28 day cycle & even then it was CD12 I got a peak.

You can also pick up OPK strips at a boots or somewhere like that if you don't want to wait for an Amazon delivery 😊

Thanks! I’ve ordered some from Amazon as after work DC have activities so will be busy until late

feels very real to now be serious about it all 😂

AnaReis · 27/09/2023 23:04

Feeling confused... I have seen virtually no EWFM... We've been DTD every day and having loads of fun, that's been really good, but I wonder where's my EWFM gone? 🤔🤷🏻‍♀️ I'm on CD12 and I've been ovulating around the CD14 or CD15... I'm doing my BBT and no dip or peak yet....
I'm going to be 41 in October, so I sometimes think if my fertility is not compatible with having another little one.... 🙄

Ifyouknowyouknowyouknow · 28/09/2023 09:27

@AnaReis have you tried any of those fertility lubes? I can’t remember what they’re called now but I used one with dc1. I had a stimulated ovulation because of the timing of my medication and didn’t produce any EWCM, but still conceived.

Did you get any tests @AFeastForCrows? I’m cd6 so still in the boring phase 🤣.

MacNut · 28/09/2023 09:44

@AnaReis I only had EWCM on CD8 when I conceived but none that I noticed after that. I know I ovulated on CD12/13 and obviously got a BFP so try not to lose hope 🙏

I don't, but now that I think about it maybe I should get some... We don't really need lube lol but if it's for this purpose I might get some... Maybe it will turn me into a giant water park for sperm 🤣

Hi ladies!
I gladly join this talk here, TTC our #3 for 7months now, it was relaxed journey till last month I saw too many babies and went mad. Now I am a bit obsessed, will allow it for this month still. Tracking my RHR now on Fitbit and am on that dull 2ww phase, 2DPo.

AFeastForCrows · 28/09/2023 10:27

@Ifyouknowyouknowyouknow I did order tests! They are being delivered today

I’m hornier than a teenage boy so I think I’m gearing up for Ov day 😂

Welcome!

this was me. All chilled until we started cycle 8 this month and I’ve lost my mind 😂

MrsPepper82 · 28/09/2023 11:56

It was fun to read about @AnaReis fun part of ferile window. I was worried this time, that maybe I should hold my drive back and let my DH recover, but at least now I’m not ready to step back and be most optimized, our fertility appointment is in November and if there they say we should be more optimized, I will holdmyself back :P
About drinking - I almost never drink, some times a glass of red wine, and I eat healthy for many many years now just for my own sake. And I have IR sauna regularly (now avoid it in 2ww) and I believe this is the reason my results came back 10 years younger thab my actual age (41).
@AFeastForCrows I think no one has the patience not to go crazy after those months of no results :D let’ s just keep our fingers crossed we get results before it gets toooo crazy

AnaReis · 28/09/2023 12:26

@MrsPepper82 welcome!! 😊 I'm on cycle god knows which 🙄 I think it must bt 7 or 8 too... But I'm on hols so no holding back here 😅 especially because we have my in-laws here and they have the kids after lunch while we go and "take a nap" 😅 I'm on having fun mode 🤣 next month I'll probably do the SMEP and might get one of those miracle cups you put in after sex 🤔
I've never heard of that type of sauna! Very interesting!

Hahaaa, my DH already started to joke that his not sure he dares to come to bed with me or stay alone :D
Our first 2 are already 14 and 11 so easy to get some alone time.

do some of you here track RHR on some tracker?
I have data only from my IUD time and not sure it is same graphs as it would be without thats hormonal impact

AFeastForCrows · 28/09/2023 17:13

Right so I’ve done my first OPK, this is negative isn’t it?

I’m on day 12 of my cycle so does this mean I probably haven’t ovulated yet??

Anyone trying for a 3rd child?
AFeastForCrows · 28/09/2023 17:13

I can also see this becoming quite addictive 😂

MrsPepper82 · 28/09/2023 19:04

Totally negative :D great thing is, that OPK instruction sais to take that test twice a day :D I could test till I got enough :D
My first 3 were almost positive but then one taken at six in the evening was darker than C stripe. And one after that (24hlater) was so negative, that even on hcg test it wouldnt count :D

I had to Google what that was 😅 I've never tracked that, although I had a fit it in the past. I was a bit paranoid having something with Bluetooth on my wrist all the time 😅🤦🏻‍♀️ so I stopped using it.
What type of info does the RHR give you in terms of your cycle? 🤔
I just track BBT 🤷🏻‍♀️ I used to do it before I had kids to prevent pregnancy and then used it to get pregnant 😅

I did not use smart watch over an year because I felt too monitored. Now this resting heart rate can tell about OV and how that went (it should show also implantation and possible result). Of course it is not 100 sure, since there are so many variables.
And tracker also measures temp, some research showed it even more accurate than basal, but I have never done basal, so can’t compare. But it did show dip before OV, rise on Oday and drop to my normal temp after that. So it keeps me busy during 2ww also, haahaa.
I started to learn about my cycle after 4 months with CB smiley OPK kit and that was so easy and no stress. Since my cycle is steady I did one for 28 day cycle (it smiled only once then) and next one for 29days cycle and both in the ornings and all was fine.
This time I peed in the dark and was not sure was I precise, so peed some more with lights on and it was too much and got an error message. And then I started to compare the stripes, brrr it was hard. Lost all my objectivity before I got darker line.
So some practice with @AFeastForCrows tests will be great.

MrsPepper82 · 29/09/2023 19:24

@AFeastForCrows how’s your OPK doing?

What type of fitbit do you use? Mine didn't measure that much I think, it was one of the cheapest 🤔
It would be really convenient to have something monitor and register my temp for me 😅 although I'm now used to taking my temp as soon as I wake up, although it's not very precise because I've been waking up at different times while on hols, so the fitbit would be ace for this. I still don't have a dip+peak and no nipple pain yet either, so I don't think I ovulated 🤔
