I hadn't realised being coeliac affected fertility. I'm not coeliac but I do have IBS which may occasionally be triggered by gluten. I wonder if IBS can affect things - does anyone know?

That's it, it's over. Af has arrived, angry and tests are lighter too. It was a nice dream if only for 2 days before all this started. Devasted isn't even the word.

Morning ladies, I need a bit of advice.

I’m 6dpo and yesterday I had a bit of brown spotting which I usually get before my period but it’s even early for me. Today I’ve had bright red blood on my underwear and when I’ve wiped. I’m not going to fool myself into thinking it’s any kind of implantation as it’s more than spotting but surely if this is the start of my period then it’s worryingly early?

Hoping someone has some pearls of wisdom!!

@xxcxdonxx is it possible it's a CP? As you say that does seem very early. Mine started with brown spotting before cramps and red blood started. I'd had a bfp for 10 days at that point. With only being 6dpo I'm not even sure if anything would come up on a test.

@xxcxdonxx this would be quite common for me as I can spot in the luteal phase. Something to do with declining progesterone. Or is it possible you ovulated early this cycle and your period is now starting ? Luteal phase length is pretty consistent.

Thanks @RoseH36 @CurlyWurly1991 I really am at a bit of a loss as to what is going on. I was pretty confident that I caught my ovulation peak but won’t rule out it being earlier. I usually spot before af too but not red and not as heavy as it was this morning.
Will just need to wait it out now xx

Can I join? First time TTC, 37 years old and on month 3 of trying. 11DPO at the moment, and not feeling hopeful as negative test this morning. Not really got many people I can talk to - most of my friends either had their children young, or either got pregnant first try, or are having assisted conception. I don't want to moan about how impatient I am to those who have struggled so hoping I can join some lovely internet strangers on similar journeys.

@Floralsandsmiles sorry to hear of your recent experience. I haven't read through the whole thread but yours stuck out 💓

Welcome @Orlahoping . It is a difficult subject in real life somehow. I think here it works well as people are free to dip in and out as they feel it's helpful.

@Pineappleapple it really is difficult in real life. I am surprised my previously TTC friends never spoke about it because it's all I think about! There's so many things that could go wrong/supplements to try/am I eating the right food? Drinking too much coffee? Etc... there's never ending things to keep my brain busy on!

I’m on CD15 but only second cycle so still getting used to all of this. My Apple health app says ovulation tomorrow and another app said today. I’ve used some OPK’s since CD11 but usually a faint line, however it’s quite a bit stronger today, would you class this as a “positive” or just another high test? I’ve had EWCM since CD11 and we’ve DTD every other day since then, so think I’ve covered all bases for my first proper month of trying to do this seriously!

Would help if I attached the pic! My OPK today, way stronger line than previous days, but not sure if it’s still quite as dark as the control line?

@EvelynKatie yes it's nice to have someone in the same boat! Fingers crossed for us both.

I have found the premom app really helpful for taking the guesswork out of my OPKs. Your line looks a little lighter than the control line but not much. If it helps here is a screenshot of mine. To me it looks like the peak day line is less strong than the days either side so I am not sure it's always what our naked eyes think.

Ah yes I see what you mean! I was just giving them a try this month and only had a box of 5. Going to think about whether I try them next month as I don’t want to obsess over them which I probably would do, but on the flip side I am curious!

I am definitely obsessing but, on the plus side, I feel confident that this month we timed things as well as possible. Don't currently feel that hopeful (period due in next few days), but it is only cycle 3...

I had a positive opk on Saturday so does that mean I’m 1dpo today? Really annoyed because we didn’t DTD last night (had an argument instead!!). But I guess I’m in the tww cycle 1.

Started tracking OV again today after my miscarriage. Not sure when I'll OV or when AF will come but I wanted to just keep an eye on things just so I know what my body is doing.
I think once this month is out the way and I've had AF again we'll try again. Xx

Have felt crampy over the last two days so think AF is on its way. That makes seven unsuccessful cycles. I feel so naive. I was so excited to start TTC - I knew it could take time but I never really expected to still be trying eight months in.
