@worldwidetravel2017 good luck.
I'm never fortune enough to see a flashing smiley. It's always straight to a static, over and done in one day so I never have any preparation that ovulation is approaching

Hope that changes fot you ... is there correlation with the ovulation day each month - ie its always same length of time since or b4 period ? - can you prep that way ?
Same length cycles each time ?

MK85 · 13/07/2023 17:19

@worldwidetravel2017 I'd just seen your other post.
I've absolutely no issue with the accuracy of clearblue and ovulation. Even with pcos , I personally 100% trust them.
I've had scans every cycle for the past few months and they've never frigged me about.

Honestly, the first half of my cycle is just unpredictable. Ovulation never occurs at the same time. Its all over the place . Anywhere from day 19 to 40+ it seems. Once I've ovulated tho , my temps always indicate that my period is going to arrive in 2-3 days after a temp drop. My luteal is anywhere from day 14-17 . My second half is the only bit of my cycle that has rhythm.

A telltale sign that ovulation was coming was sharp pain.
Then I started clomid and since that I can't tell because its just constant pain and I can't tell what's what anymore

worldwidetravel2017 · 13/07/2023 17:49

Sorry to read that

Have you ever had your progesterone checked ?

Ive just sadly got a progesterone test result

Its very low ..

My only hope is that clear blue is right and ovulation is soon & then progesterone rises..

I dunno though

Rather worried

Dont know if progesterone could just be low as not ovulated yet.
Or bigger issues

MK85 · 13/07/2023 18:45

@worldwidetravel2017 were those results for your last cycle? Or this cycle ?

Your progesterone will naturally be low at this moment , as the first half of cycle estrogen is dominant. Progesterone will take over the second part of your cycle, if you've ovulated that is, and will remain elevated. It rises quite rapidly. If the egg wasn't fertilised or didn't implant then progesterone levels will drop and that signals your womb to shed aka your period.

If the results are from last cycle , could it be possible your ovulation date was a bit off? I recall you saying they saw the corpus luteum but could that possibly have been the follicle they seen and you were yet to ovulate ? That could be a reason why your progesterone had not risen by your 21 day bloods.
I had a scan last month at the fertility clinic and the doctor wasn't sure if it was a follicle or the corpus luteum but he thought it was corpus but I ovulated AFTER that scan according to opks and temp and I trust my temp . They may have been wrong with your scan. I've been scanned by many doctors and they can't seen to tell the difference between a follicle / the corpus or a cyst

MK85 · 13/07/2023 18:47

@worldwidetravel2017 could you possibly try taking your temps around suspected ovulation? It'll let you pinpoint if or when you've ovulated

worldwidetravel2017 · 13/07/2023 19:08

Seeing gp tomorrow night

Just got the all clear
4 my bowel test

Had polyps removed and now that score is normal

Hes just got my NHS progesterone back - it was done less than 24 hours after super drug private one

Hes said nhs one is ok

Will talk 2 him about what clear blue
Ovulation said today
And will test ovulation b4 seeing him tomorrow
And will discuss that and super drug progesterone with him

And my raised ca125
Could be the fibroid they found last week re that
But dunno if we should be checking other errors

Thanks for your knowledge and help
I really appreciate it

Hope your kindness is back to you in the form of luck soon

Temps have fluctuations
Was over 37 recently
Kept an eye the last 3 days
With basal themometer
Thank u

hennie222 · 13/07/2023 20:27

@worldwidetravel2017 I find temps really hard as mine are very variable. I do them every day regardless and can usually just about make out enough of a trend to indicate ovulation . Would be impossible to tell if I only did it for a few days so keep at it is my advice with that one!

Sadly one of my mates is on her 4th round of ivf - shes at least 7 years older than me but from what ive said to her - she thinks ovulation is this weekend

Will keep an eye on temps always - thanks

We are guna try our luck fri pm sat am and pm and sun am

I wonder if clear blue high fertility will be a similar time next month

Hope its all regular so can plan

Used to always be 28 day cycle with just 21 days from end of last period to next

Have been stressed lately what with a relatives death and a couple hosp tests / visits / urgent colonoscopy etc

Have you guys regularly been getting your feretin checked monthly ?

I learnt that low feretin doesnt help & now its checked monthly

We are 38 ttc no 2 , DD is 4 conceived 1sr cycle , started trying in dec 22 again easy to conceive after 2 cycles but MMC March/April since then my cycles have been 39 days 34 days and this one is 33 and counting with negative tests ☹️ I don’t understand what is happening gp isnt sure i’m awaiting bloods . Has this happened to anyone else ? Gp mentioned it’s likely just my body getting back to normal but could be (although unlikely ) perimenopause

Cinai · 17/07/2023 15:23

Hi all! Do you mind if I join? I’m 40 and TTC number 1…is anyone in the same boat? I’m thinking of giving it another month (if I conceive this month, baby would just be born before my 41st birthday) but not much longer because I’m worried that I’m getting too old to be a first-time mum. I’ve been TTC for 6 months.

Rusticanella · 17/07/2023 16:35

Hi,

Thanks to @MK85 for finding and tagging me.

Didn't post much but enjoyed reading and had a look for the old thread today to distract me from testing. Still not really in the loop with tacking ovulation, but period due in 6 days.

Trying to not test.....or should I just do it?

Also- as this is becoming more consuming, I just seem to hear more people talk about pregnancies and babies 😫

worldwidetravel2017 · 17/07/2023 17:28

@Rusticanella i hear you
My period is also due soon

Fingers xed it doesnt arrive 4 either of us

Ovulation finally showed on cheap sticks last night
And clear blue said peak fertility today..

We tried fri night , sun am

Will try tonight and / or tomorrow am too

MK85 · 17/07/2023 17:53

@Rusticanella I personally would give it a few more days before testing.
When I test early I never feel satisfied with the result. I tend to drive myself crazy wondering if I've just tested too early , could there still be a chance ect . For me, it's such an unhealthy state of mind . I find it all too stressful and much harder than just waiting for my period.

Angelsrose · 17/07/2023 18:37

@Cinai welcome. I'm 38 TTC no.1. I am currently in cycle 7. My partner is going to get tested soon and we will proceed from there. I have already had bloods which have been OK so far. I would seek help and preliminary investigations sooner rather than later.

hennie222 · 17/07/2023 18:50

Hi @Cinai I'm 38 and TTC no. 1 and on cycle somewhere around 20 (had 1 MMC in several years of trying). Currently having some tests with the NHS - they've found 2 potentially "easy to deal with " things that might be causing us issues (sperm antigens for him and a polyp for me) .... so it's well worth getting seen if you can (ie you might not need IVF etc).

Have you had a transvaginal scan ? To check 4 cysts , fibroids etc

CaffeineAndCrochet · 17/07/2023 22:01

Hi all, hope it's ok to join in.

38, on cycle #6 - currently 4/5 days late, no sign of AF but all tests showing BFN. So must have just ovulated late this month.

It's frustrating because guidelines over here (Ireland) are to go to GP if you're over 35 and have been trying for six months. But I feel like I can't book an appt until AF starts. So in lovely limbo right now.

AnaReis · 18/07/2023 01:17

I'm now on CD15 we only managed to DTD once this month 🤦🏻‍♀️ so now 2 weeks to wait and see what happens...

Welcome! With my youngest I only ovulated on CD19 so only managed to get a decent, visible positive on CD 34. Good luck! ❤️

CaffeineAndCrochet · 18/07/2023 09:47

Thanks @AnaReis - it would be amazing to get a BFP in another day or two.

worldwidetravel2017 · 18/07/2023 11:48

Still no period yet here

Last month was a 28 day cycle

Now today is day 29..

Hoping its delayed due to maybe pregnancy
Rather than stress..

Yesterday i got a chronic fatigue syndrome diagnosis

Cinai · 18/07/2023 12:16

Hi @Angelsrose @hennie222 @worldwidetravel2017 and thank you!
Yes, I consider getting some tests done…my GP is quite useless, I might have to go private.
