@bubballoo honestly don't worry as far as symptoms go. I'm 13 weeks now and I've had absolutely no symptoms this entire time.
To he honest I started thinking the sonographers are pulling my leg.
The only thing I've been experiencing is intense tenderness if i move, bend ect. Trying to get comfortable in bed is still a challenge but thats all down to the ivf as I developed a complication and my ovaries were huge. Apparently pregnancy prolongs it so yippee. I'm just waiting for the day I finally start to feel relief.
I also wouldn't worry about the early scans. They arent reliable for dating. Baby is so little and even the tiniest mm off can throw the date.
I had scans at 7 weeks and 10 weeks and both of those I dated a day behind.
I had my first nhs '12 week' scan today and baby is measuring few days behind now but consultant didn't seem worried at all and is still sticking with original due date. The measurement can also vary depending who's taking it and babys position it seems. My consultant tried to take babys measurements 3 times today and everytime it was coming back differently.
Baby didn't seem impressed by her trying to take the measurements. She was really digging the ultrasound wand into me and trying to get babys position to turn so she could take measurements but baby was having none of it and was kicking back .in the end up she have up and just stuck with what she had.
It's completely normal to feel anxious. I've been a blood wreck thinking something has happened baby on several occasions and I do think it's all down to the lack of symptoms

ttcat37 · 09/01/2024 22:26

@MoonIightDreamer thanks so much. Can’t believe we’re both where we are, a year ago it was never going to happen! Can’t believe you’re 13 weeks now. I’m nearly 36 weeks and baby is coming out at 38 weeks 🤯 I can’t believe how fast the last few months has gone. I’ve finally done my hospital bag today. Now I see why everyone seems to have a suitcase- there’s so much stuff!

MoonIightDreamer · 10/01/2024 14:51

@ttcat37 it's definitely crazy isn't it
I truly never imagined I'd be having this experience. It feels alot more real to me now that I've got my pregnancy notes.
I thought pregnancy would feel amazing but I didnt take into account all the worries. I still feel like time is moving slowly and I really just want to get it over and done with and have baby in my arms but that will probably come with a whole new set of worries.
When did you start feeling movement ?
I've read if it's a first pregnancy it can take longer

ttcat37 · 10/01/2024 15:57

@MoonIightDreamer I didn’t feel movement until probably 24 weeks or more. I have an anterior placenta which can cushion the movements. They were so vague and slight to start with. I didn’t feel distinct kicks for a few weeks later. I imagine in a second pregnancy I would recognise the slight movements a bit earlier.
I was most worried in the first trimester, then as soon as my bump appeared I just felt amazing and happy because it meant there was actually a little growing person in there!

Hi all! Some might remember me, I got a BFP last August and then sadly miscarried. Last month was our first month of trying again, and today I got another BFP 😳My mind is all over the place, I know I should be happy, but somehow I’m just scared. This new pregnancy is bringing so many bad memories and fears back, I’m not sure how to cope and get into a positive mindset.

Cinai · 15/01/2024 17:42

It’s great to see some success stories here 🤩

bubballoo · 16/01/2024 16:35

Ended in another miscarriage. Heartbroken.
I'm going to take a break from these boards for now, thanks everyone for their support.
Hoping for better outcomes for all of you.

Rusticanella · 16/01/2024 16:37

So sorry @bubballoo

There really aren't the words. Look after and be kind to yourself xx

MoonIightDreamer · 16/01/2024 17:07

@bubballoo I'm so sorry. Sending you lots of love

MoonIightDreamer · 16/01/2024 17:15

@Cinai congratulations.
The only advice I can offer you is to try and distract yourself as best as your can. I'm 14 weeks now and im still in a really negative mindset driving myself crazy thinking its going to end in another loss.
I've already had 3 scans at this stage and although I should feel relief with every milestone, it's so hard not to worry. For the first 10 weeks I kept feeling like time was standing still and the days just felt like an eternity as I was caught up in my thoughts all the time. I've found that finding things to do to occupy the mind really helps

Hey ladies, checking in and also delivering not so great news on my part. Looks more likely my TTC journey will be put on hold for the foreseeable future at least. I discovered a small lump on my right breast, had an appointment at the hospital today, following a referral from my gp. Prognosis is pointing towards the ugly C word, biopsy results next Thursday. I am still trying to get my head around this but immediately all I could think was bad timing on the ttc part as I'm on the list for IVF.
It has been wonderful to read of successful ivf on here, and all the different stories. Give many woman hope, a bit like myself.
Who new the big C could put spanner in the works. Any way good news is I have caught it in the early stages, it hasnt spread anywhere outside the area I found it. The consultant was surprised I actually found the lump. Ladies if I can give any advice know your boobies! Feel them often as needs be, it can help in more ways than you'll know. I really do wish you all the best on your TTC journeys.
