Hi ladies , it's MK85
Got logged out and forgot password. I don't have access to my old email account so I've had to go and create a new account. What a torture

@hennie222 did your line progress?

MoonIightDreamer · 01/12/2023 14:02

@Downtherabbithole83 I'm doing ok thanks. Taking it one day at a time.
I've had alot of crippling cramps going on but I had a scan and everything looks fine so far. They said baby has a little heart beat.
Scan was a horrible experience. They told me they couldnt find anything for ages and it took 2 different nurses and a doctor to come before they could confirm the pregnancy is there. Felt like an eternity.
i couldnt really see anything as their image was really distorted as apparently I have a very tilted uterus which is making it difficult and baby has implanted really far away at top of womb aswell
Still really early days and I'm still really anxious but im just praying it sticks. I'll be 8 weeks on monday. I'm feeling really grateful to have got this far as I really didn't think our ivf would even work first time and especially given how all our blasts were bottom grades . They fell into the 'discard' category and had a low chance of implantation but hey obviously one defied the odds so miracles do happen

How are you ?

ttcat37 · 01/12/2023 21:18

@MoonIightDreamer hey I'm glad you’re back, I thought you might have taken a bit of time out as Mumsnet and the conception forum especially made me a bit anxious when I got my bfp. Still have everything crossed for you and can’t wait to hear when you’ve your 12 week scan, it really feels like a milestone when you see them on a scan and they look like a tiny person!

hennie222 · 02/12/2023 08:16

@MoonIightDreamer yes it has progressed! So now I'm just managing the crippling anxiety and insomnia about something going wrong.....
Glad to see you had a bfp and the scan went OK (even if a bit traumatic). Keeping all things crossed for you!

niknaks37 · 03/12/2023 21:55

@MoonIightDreamer so happy to hear your ivf has had a BFP! Certainly gives hope to others on a similar journey. I'll keep my fingers crossed all goes well in the days and weeks ahead.
Currently waiting for the referral to come through, I think wait time is now over 12 weeks?

@ttcat37 ah yes it's so strange seeing them on the scan. I booked a private scan on Thursday past as I was so anxious and it's crazy how much baby has changed since our 7 week scan. It's gone from looking like a blob to full form. We could clearly make out the body shape and head. We managed to get a glimpse of baby jumping around which made it feel that bit more special and real.
I'm 11 weeks today and still absolutely terrified of something going wrong . I imagine it'll take a few more weeks before I feel I can start to relax a bit more

MoonIightDreamer · 26/12/2023 12:12

@niknaks37 I always found they made contact sooner than their expected timeframes

ttcat37 · 26/12/2023 14:09

@MoonIightDreamer ahhh how special for you at Christmas time! Not long untiI the 20 week scan. Try to enjoy the elation of knowing there’s a little person in there!! How exciting!!

MoonIightDreamer · 27/12/2023 16:12

@ttcat37 when are you due? You must be nearing it now shortly.

My grandmother has been very poorly and Is in her final days. Were not expecting her to last until new years so we shared our news with close family a few days ago as if just felt right. We'd rather her know before she passed. I found it so nerve wrecking telling anyone. We originally didn't plan on telling anyone for another few weeks yet

Rusticanella · 27/12/2023 16:27

Hi all, just dropping in- I never posted that much on here once pregnant as didn't know how appropriate it was!

Congrats @MoonIightDreamer hopefully you can get the 12 week scan out the way and then start to enjoy it a bit. FYI, it's not for everyone, but I had a NIPT done at 10 weeks and that def helped me relax a bit before the 12 week scan.

Did anyone ever hear from @Cinai (I am sure that was her) she had a BFP a few days before me, but haven't seen her around since.

@40andtrying1 how are you getting on,

As for myself, we have been very lucky so far, and not had any pregnancy issues, even though it took a while to conceive, and we are geriatrics.

My 20 week scan is on 03 Jan!

ttcat37 · 27/12/2023 18:51

@MoonIightDreamer oh that’s so sad, I’m sorry you’re going through that at Christmas time. But how lovely of you to share your news with her and special for the rest of your family too.

I’m due early feb but just found out I have choleostasis so baby’s arrival will probably be sooner than that! I have about 6 weeks left but will probably be more like 3-4 weeks now.

Cinai · 27/12/2023 19:31

Hi @Rusticanella How exciting that you’re approaching your 20 weeks scan! Sadly I miscarried in October, I took some time off this thread after that. This is my first month of trying again. Onwards and upwards! All the best for the rest of your pregnancy, I’m so pleased to hear that it all went well for you!

40andtrying1 · 28/12/2023 07:58

Hi!
well I am still trying just started my period so next cycle will be 12 months 😕 I am waiting for a private appointment but as it was Christmas it is taking longer than it normally would.

So happy for you! Please remind me, how long were to ttc for? Xx

Rusticanella · 28/12/2023 21:56

Oh @Cinai I am really very sorry to hear that. I had no idea. Good to see you back on the thread any way and I wish you all the best.

@40andtrying1 in the end it was 7 cycles- which doesn't seem long at all now. But at the time it felt like forever. Particularly being as I don't do things by halves and went straight in tracking ovulation and telling DH the days we had to have sex etc! I know a lot of couples just stop using contraception for the first few months and see what happens. Are you going straight for an IVF private appointment? Or Private GP first?

I never really looked into IVF etc as I already had DD so wouldn't be eligible, and didn't think we would afford to go private.

Rusticanella · 28/12/2023 21:57

@ttcat37 gosh! That is super close- I think I I remember you getting your BFP!

Hope everything goes smoothly x

Helengreggregson · 04/01/2024 07:56

@MoonIightDreamer this is cornflakes I had to set up a new account cos I lost the email address it was set up with so haven’t been on in ages. I just want to say a big congrats I am so happy for you that you got a bfp ! ❤️❤️❤️ I hope you are doing ok.
I’m still struggling away here hoping to start Ivf next month but can only afford one round so feeling so nervous about it all !

40andtrying1 · 05/01/2024 07:23

I had my private scan yesterday and they said there was something there, possibly a polyp or leftover blood. I am obviously very worried as I don’t like the thought of something in my uterus that should not be there.
The doctor is going to ring me in two weeks, they may do anther scan. It may need removing if it is in a place where an embryo may start growing - or maybe they will do a biopsy.
im feeling very sad and worried.

hennie222 · 05/01/2024 10:43

@40andtrying1 try not to worry too much. Polyps are very common and don't necessarily mean anything sinister. 6 months after my mmc I had a scan who said they thought I had a polyp and recommended removal before starting ivf. I'd had no symptoms from it but then randomly started spotting for most of a whole month a few weeks later. Anyway whilst waiting for my gp to fill in a form so I could get it looked at privately, I got a bfp. So it doesn't eliminate the possibility. I think sometimes they go away on their own and from what ive heard removal is a simple ish op. Fingers crossed for you.

40andtrying1 · 05/01/2024 22:16

Aww thank you for your kind words. Did you get your polyps removed? Or did they go away on their own? X

hennie222 · 06/01/2024 09:25

@40andtrying1 I don't know! I fell pg before ever resoving. I just hope it isn't still in there waiting to cause a problem but I had an early scan and they didn't say anything.......

bubballoo · 09/01/2024 14:58

So after miscarrying again in November, I became pregnant again immediately and just had an early viability scan. Little heart beat and measuring 6+5, however based on ovulation (which I know for certain) it should be 7+1 so trying not to be too worried about the discrepancy.
I want to be excited, but I'm mainly apprehensive, tired and obsessing over lack of symptoms.

I hope everyone is getting on ok.

ttcat37 · 09/01/2024 19:02

@bubballoo congratulations 🥳 if it helps, I had no symptoms to start with. No sickness at all, I was tired but felt completely normal for ages.

bubballoo · 09/01/2024 19:32

Thanks @ttcat37 that's good to know. It's seems the pregnancy threads are full of people throwing up at 5 weeks unable to get out of bed etc. I'll be grateful if I'm spared that but it's also not reassuring.

ttcat37 · 09/01/2024 20:52

@bubballoo I felt exactly the same- 12 week scan couldn’t come soon enough. I had an extra private scan to put me at ease and we also got an NIPT done to feel like we were being proactive (and we also got another scan when we got that done).

MoonIightDreamer · 09/01/2024 21:42

@ttcat37 I hope all goes smoothly for you. I'm sure it's exciting but terrifying at the same time
